Since a few T2Jers have asked me about it, I thought I would post a quick message to say that I have submitted my entry for the 2005 Webcast interview contest.

The page is organized alphabetically by username, so I'm about the 10th entry on the page.

I checked out about all of the reviews on Vai's message board, but nobody really said much about his set list, just saying that he either did or didn't play their favorite Vai song. But from what I've read, looks like it's gonna be an amazing show. I gotta get their ealy, I'd like to get right up front, but everyone's going to be trying to get there early, I'll kinda just have to make my way up to the front if it's already crouded when I get there. Anyone going to see Vai March 30th at Starland Ballroom? I'll be there, I hope I win the aftershow passes off his website, that would be awesome. I would have been the first to post my name up on the message board (I notice they are giving all the 1st persons to post their name up for each date get a pass for themselve and a friend or whoever.) I gotta get to see Satch again, saw him with Thin Lizzy, and Deep Purple in the summer, he was amazing, and then D.P. was mindblowing, I really wasn't a huge fan of them, but they were sooo good! I really like Thin Lizzy (only the stuff with Lynott), but the Thin Lizzy that's around now, in my opinion, sucks pretty bad compared to when Phil was around.

Forgot to ask, I saw that Eric Johnson has been playing a few shows with Vai, is he playing most shows, or was it just that he was around or something? It would be awesome to see Johnson too. I heard a lot about Eric tearin' it up with Vai, this is going to be awesome, only like 2 more weeks to go! I've been waiting since the time I bought my tickets to see Vai (never saw him yet except for his DVD) I couldn't believe when I got Vai's newsletter and saw he would be playing over by me, finally, I was online before 12 ready t get the tickets when they went up. If I don't think about it, it'll come quicker, gonna be hard now that it's only a few days away! Anyone know if Satch is going to be putting out a new live DVD anytime soon? You can watch live in San Fran. over and over and you'll never get sick of it, it's even crazier to see him live, you all should know what I'm talking about. When you see someone with as much skill and talent as Satch live, you have so much more respect for them rather than the respect you have for just hearing a CD or DVD, live is unbeatable.

Hi everyone- just had to say before I go to bed in a minute: we got 2 new guitars today- the Gibson Flying V (Worn cherry) and also a Fender Jaguar (Antigua)- a lovely surprise- the Fender guitar plays like a dream, and is very versatile in style! I am over the moon with it. :-)

What a great day!

whats up Satch land. Hope everyone is well. I have been busy as usual with school and constant music practise in and out of school. I am preparing for a upcoming gig with a very popular canadian jazz artist by the name of Phil Nimmons so I am excited to have the opportunity to play along side one of Canada's finest. I got around to joining the choir at school lol so I can learn to sing but so far i have found singing to be fairly difficult but I shall push on as the final concert of my high school years comes ever closer.

also one last thing. has anyone here ever heard of a guitar player named Kevin Brite. he does instrumental stuff just like Joe but is from my area of the world. I was told of him by a guy at a local music shop and he said this guy is just as good as Joe and Vai in terms of skill but way better than any other slide player in history

Civgeek- Y&T fav. song is "Bar Room Boggie." The words to that song... I've been there! Fav. line is. "I got to go home its an emergency, she said ...But you are home!" LOL. I remember Y&T was going to play at Summerfest one summer. They had to cancel because Dave broke his arm. I was pissed. Then I found out Lita Ford took there place! Its all good!! lol

Strange I've been really finding my influences today...

They are as follows:

my two best friends and the stupid situations we've been in over the past 7-8 years.
computer games (mostly mega drive games and xbox)
films

and ofcourse musically:

Muddy Waters
T00L
Buckethead
The Prodigy
Aphex Twin
Paul Gilbert
Eric Johnson
and ofcourse Joe...

Dunno' why I'm posting this...just seems wierd how I've never actually noticed what my influences and inspirations are...

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good day today
