Here is a pretty neat little thing from Paul Harvey. Can you guess the riddle at the end.

Paul Harvey Writes:

We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better.

I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.

I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated.

I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car.

And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen.

It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep.

I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in.

I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister. And it's all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room ,but w hen he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let him.

When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope you'll let him/her.

I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely.

On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your driver to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as your Mom.

If you want a slingshot, I hope your Dad teaches you how to make one instead of buying one.

I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.

When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.

I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a boy\girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like.

May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.

I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it. And if a friend offers you dope or a joint, I hope you realize he is not your friend.

I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle.

May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays.

I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at Hannukah/Christmas time when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.

These things I wish for you - tough times and disappointment, hard work and happiness. To me, it's the only way to appreciate life.

Written with a pen. Sealed with a kiss. I'm here for you. And if I die before you do, I'll go to heaven and wait for you.

Send this to all of your friends. We secure our friends, not by accepting favors, but by doing them.

Paul Harvey RIDDLE:

When asked this riddle, 80% of kindergarten kids got the answer, compared to 17% of Stanford University seniors.

What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich need it, And if you eat it, you'll die?

It is good to see some familiar names pop up.

cuthbert1776 - still being difficult around here - trying to keep everyone in line?

I don't like to shop for clothes - but when clothes end up falling off - it is time to do something about it.

Sometimes, appearance is everything :)

Are there gonna be any g3 tour dates for the uk in 2007??? i thought there were but it seems like its only aus and america at the moment. If there are uk plans then try and get Vai to come. A g3 is only fully complete with Satch AND Vai and then a guest. For the jam, Hendrix is the way forward!!! Cheers Cutts

JOE: You've got to do FRANKENSTEIN at G3. I play this one with my band. Myself and the keyboard player cover all the parts and harmonies. I think even if there were only a few sections of jamming in the tune people would go nuts over 3 guitarists covering all the parts.

SLANSH AND SUZIE My martial art contingent. Hey I saw Tarantino's "The Protector." The film itself, story line, picture quality, acting basically sucked big time. However, the fight sequences were the best I have witnessed by far. It was worth putting up with the lackluster dialogue, subtitles, and dubbing. This dude Tony Faa I believe his name is is unreal! He is a Muay Thai Master and he is BRUTAL! This is a must see film for all martial artists. Jackie Chan even makes a cameo appearance if you pay close attention. Check it out!

SLANSH Hey my friend. Valiant effort buddy, but the gospels you refer too are not really gospels. Numero uno, these gospels were not written by who or whom that say they were. This can be cross referenced by historical documentation as to when the gospels were written and the corresponding death of the so called authors. These "gospels" were written by gnostics whos main goal was to falsify the original gospels found within the Bible. You can do a quick study of this on the net. I've already researched it and you will find that what I say is true. Not only are all the apocryphal gospels of the pagans false, but nothing within them can be proved. Additonally they were written too late, approximately 2 centurys after the originals. There is nothing within these false gospels that mentions Jesus being married or having sexual relations with Mary M. In reference to the term Immanuel. This is in fact a term and a name, and it means "God be with you" in reference to Jesus. Obviously this mean that Mary will be giving birth to God in the flesh and he will dwell amongst you. The name Immanuel in Isaiah was used to give hope to Judah during tough times. Roy, the info you are receiving is basically from the "Da Vinci Code." It starts off by stating a list of what the author Dan Brown calls"facts." The facts refer to the fiction of the book, not to real life. Take a look at the cover of the book. It states that it is a fictional book. The list is a set up for the contents, as the book will not make sense unless you place these images into the back of your mind. Its just that simple buddy. In short, try not to place your trust in authors commentary. Read the subject matter and research it on your own. Its the only way to get the facts. Talk to you soon bro.

CUTH Hey buddy! Read your response to the scripture. We cannot add nor subtract from the Word of God. I merely pointed out a group of scripture that expounded on Sandy's message to me. As far as I know there is no other scripture that references government, but I may be wrong. I did notice that you highlighted the writting of an author on the subject. As I mentioned to Roy, it is dangerous to try to gain insight on something within the Bible by way of someone elses interpretation. In my mind, it must be counter-referenced within the Word. As I said, injustice occurs, it is not our world bro. Bad things happen in life and as you know they are going to get worse. Gods ways are not our ways says the Word. Our finite brains cannot comprehend the things of God. The Book of Ecclesiastes gives us insight into the perception of God. Particularly Chap 3. CUTH, the future has already gone down bro, we are just along for the ride. We are on a testing field. Sometimes you score and sometimes you get sacked. Its what you do afterwards that counts. Let me know if you find anything in the Word that may have bearing on the subject. I b here to listen. Im sorry CUTH but I cannot answer for God. Aloha, Mike

Whatever you play though; it will rock!
