r6rocker: Haha, that's what all my buddies have been saying lol. Infact some were here just a few minutes ago saying, "How long do you think that dining room is going to remain a studio?" and, "Yeah Bil, I don't see the Jeff Beck autographed litho staying in the living room too much longer, where you going to put that?" I ain't goin down like that! Anyway, as far my current favorites in the two wheeled department I have to say the new CBR1000RR is looking pretty interesting. I rode an 03 954RR two days ago and it's wonderful. The GSXR1000's power is just unreal though, it comes on very hard, and is hard to control at times, where the Honda is more refined and user friendly. I haven't ridden any of the R1's since 02 so I'm a little out of date on that. Why you wanting to jump up in displacement? Right now, if I was going to buy something it would probably be a ZX636. I can't say enough good things about this bike. It's like riding a 750, but more nimble. Unlike every other high horsepower 600 I've ridden, it's power comes on down low and just keeps building, it's really quite remarkable. Honda's 600RR is a lot of fun too, it's as responsive in the handling department as anything I've ever thrown a leg over and it's top end power is fantastic, but it doesn't have any nuts at all below say 5,500 rpm and doesn't really hit hard until about 8,000. It's so hard to say right now though cause everyone is making some really great bikes at the moment. I haven't had a chance to ride on of the Z1000's yet, but I love the look and feel of them from sitting on them. But of course that's a whole other kind of ride and if I were going to go that direction I think I'd have to do a Speed Triple. Always liked the look of those and I'm sure it's different there, but over here you never see them so you have that unique cool factor going. Sorry everyone for the bike rambling, but once I get going, it's hard for me to stop.

Plum Loco: That's cool man, flu season sucks!

Alexandre: How are things going with you dude? Good I hope.

Clarky: That painting is awesome, that'll be my wallpaper for the next few days, cool stuff.

Tapper 5: Also a fixed bridge is great for heavy riffing and taking big bites with the pick without the strings pulling your bridge and altering your pitch, if you're into that kind of thing, like me lol. Should I develop a lighter touch? Nah, where's the fun in that? lol

Jake_49ers You live in Hoosport or Hoodsport? Anyway Guitar center or Ted Browns in Silverdale. The prices are pretty much set by the guitar companys. You may be lucky and get $100 off.

Graham-Dude, the purchaser wasn't in today.I looked at some other models, the Hartke B200 our cost is like 72$, and it lists for I think...damn...190 something/We sell it for $119., so you can probably guess what your cab would cost based on the Cost/sale price ratio.Ill try to call Kelly again tomorrow, if he isn't there again, I have to catch him on a monday.

The tricky thing is, I have to do it when my boss isn't standing RIGHT next to me...bad things happen..

Hey Joe, I just got home after going to the last concert of the G3 '03 in BOSTON. I know that you guys have been in NYC on the 10th & 11th but I thaught that you'll save the best for last.... Well,... IT ROCKED!!! And I am DEAD TIRED. I got to tell you Yngwie is a freak of nature. Even though he wasn't as good as I thought he would be. I was realy happy that you chose to jam to Hendrix. That was awesome.

I hope to see you guys soon in the future. I the mean time get some rest... .

Ethn,
I checked out the B200... it lists at $130...
So probably 55% or so of the list is what the cost would be for the 2100. Except I have no idea what the list price is. hahahaha... damn
anyone have any hartke literature layin around? I've got all mine at home.

Jake,
you can indeed change your name without affecting your post record. I wasn't actually "Stu Clone" till a couple hundred posts in.

howdy-- the drawing for the random winners from the poll will probably happen on the release day (18th), but might go a little later.

i don't have the specifics on the other 200, but my suspicion is that it'll be tied to the sony store sales. i'll let you know when i get specifics.

and your address does not have to be public, it just has to be in your profile so i can (as someone said) use my sekret webmaster powers to extract it if you win. ah, if only i could be on space ghost, coast to coast and talk about these powers...

I finally saw Joe live at the final show of the G3 Tour in Boston! Awsome performance! However there was one thing that detracted from all the performances- the ridiculous excess of volume. I love loud music, but when things are cranked up to that extreme in such a small venue, music turns into noise. Half the time I could barely discern the tune not to mention by the end of the night I had a terrific headache. It's my opinion (and I know I'm not alone on this) that rock shows tend to overdo the volume to an extent where it takes away from the music- and sadly this show- was no exception. I saw a lot of people walk out that night early on and I'd bet that was the reason for more than half of those people leaving. I don't know who or whom makes the decisions on setting the volume, but their decisions are turning brilliant guitar work into blaring noise. Why must they always do that at shows? But most of all, why at the G3 shows?

Dave Dude, the R6 is the blue thing that I'm sat on in the T2J pic ! ;-)

Greg rofl man, but you have to say that it is better than 'africa twin rocker' - lol No I've been bikeless for about 12 months, depressing but I can see the silver lining now ;-)

DragonChild I take your point entirely, I'd have to hold my hand up and say that that parting shot was not a particularly clever thing to say and was written more to needle people. I agree with you on the parenting issue, since I became a father, I gave up smoking, smoking weed and I rarely drink, hell, I even eat better and healthier. I don't want a medal (rofl), but having a daughter gave me a different perspective on life and where my priorities are. I'm glad that you have pointed out that while drugs may restrict your ability to be the best parent you can be they don't necessarily render you as unsuitable to be a parent. My rant was more about the principle of people making comments like that and less about drugs themselves. I spent 20 years smoking weed as a lifestyle, I'm not proud of that and I don't wear it as a badge. I don't regret having done it but maybe if I had my time again I'd have quit earlier (like 10 years earlier!). During that time I've held down a good job and progressed, maybe I would have progressed more if I had been straight? - I made a choice, as we all do in life, and good and bad will come from what ever choices you make. Anyhow, enough rambling from me too, it was nice to 'hear' your comment. ;-)

Trutina 'I ain't going down like that!' lmao dude, just remember it starts with the small things. Seriously though I'm happy for you man, hope it all goes well. On the bike front........... hmmmm yeah I hear you about the 636, nothing but good reviews on that. Gotta be honest with you, having been without a bike for a while anything will do (within reason) I'm kinda taken with the 'muscle bike' category because it slows you down at the top end, your neck sure knows about 100mph + with no fairing - heh heh. I like the 'giant trials' category because they're a blast to ride, nice and comfortable and because the back roads have got such a poor and uneven surface and they can soak it all up. I like Honda as a brand because the finish quality is the best and can stand the crappy weather over here without rotting in one season and of course what dude, wouldn't be into the 'thoroughbred sports' category, if only the national limit was higher and all roads were built like race tracks ! So there you have it man, which way to go eh ? I think it will come down to what is in the local shops at the time and of course how much of an arse I am with the HP section of the payment! The 'speed triple' might make it in there yet, I already considered them, as well as being and all round great bike they sound wicked. I'll keep you posted man, nice to get a different perspective, why do I want a bigger displacement? Good question! I've hankered after a GSXR 750 since I was a kid so maybe that might sway me a bit as well. btw - funny you should say that the 636 feels like a 750 in a 600 frame, have you seen the new ZX-10, that's supposed to feel like a 600 too!!

Austin I've not got the link bro' but you can find it on amazon.co.uk - thanks man ;-)
