I don’t really know how to start this. This is the umpteenth time I’ve sat down to write this and I’m just as clueless as ever on how to say this. I am writing this to apologize to everyone here. I have failed all of you miserably. I haven’t had internet access for over a year so that is the reason I haven’t said this much sooner. Over the past year and a half I have been in a very grim financial state. Being unable to work for such a long period of time finally drained me of every thing I had. I don’t want to bore any of you with details but one of the highlights was a near foreclosure on my house (I secured another mortgage thanks to my Dad and delivered a certified check to the foreclosure attorneys less than twenty hours before my home was to be auctioned off.) I had to sell my other property, all of my race stuff, bikes, trailer, gear and tools. Sold most of my guitar stuff (still can’t afford strings, still playing on the ones I put on a year ago), and of course eliminated all the extras like cable, telephone, cell phone and internet as well as occasionally doing without utilities for a week or so at a time. It hurts and embarrasses me to say this, but here goes: I used the money that I was supposed to produce the T2J CD with to buy food and keep the heat on last winter. Please don’t think I’m using my situation as an excuse, because in my opinion, what I’ve done is inexcusable. My problems don’t excuse my actions and I only mention them to offer an explanation, not to seek pity. I can’t tell you how sorry I am that I allowed this to happen. I don’t blame any or all of you if you are angry or upset with me, I would be too and believe me, I’m very angry with myself. I should have turned over control of the project long before things went this far and this is my greatest regret. I’m sorry for letting all of you guys down and I don’t even feel I’m worthy of forgiveness so I won’t ask for it. At this point I don’t know how I can go about paying this debt back, but somehow I will, little by little, I just need to figure out how. I miss you guys terribly and think of you daily. I’ve even written two songs about you guys but of course I have no way of getting them online and probably won’t for quite some time. I’m writing this at home on Word and will burn it to a disc and send it from my brother’s house next time I visit him. I hope to occasionally be able to use his computer so if anyone wants to contact me, email me at trutina2000@yahoo.com and I’ll eventually get back to you, but it might take several weeks or possibly even longer. My brother doesn’t live that close to me and with gas prices what they are I can’t visit near as often as I like. There’s so much more I want to say but I’ve taken up enough space, probably a bunch of newbies here that have no idea who I am anyway. Again, I’m sorry for failing you guys, failing Joe and failing myself. Words can’t describe how shallow and empty I’ve felt. Take care everyone, I hope all is well with all of you.

Hi trutina , we all have done things we wish we could do over. I admire your honesty!

Trutina: It's too bad that you have "problems." That money "however" was never to be looked at as money that was yours to use. If you recall, guys like Phrydom (who had severe financial problems at the time of T2JCD #1) paid into the project just like everyone else....guys that couldn't afford to do so, and you stole from them. Frankly, as far as I'm concerned you're lucky that the project was disorganized enough to prevent me from pressing charges against you for fraud. I expect you to pay back what you stole in full, at the very least to the red cross, or one of the members running the T2J CD2 project that everyone agrees is trustworthy.

i *do* believe that you were/are broke. but i certainly do not accept your "apology" for stealing from what (we thought) were your friends, and consequently stole from a charity.

i have looked at dates and times and decided not to say this here before now, but your "miranda" (if she ever existed) received her "engagement ring" within literally FIVE DAYS of you emptying the Talk2Joe PayPal account... yes, it could be a coincidence, i guess...

you mention nothing of your "life-threatening" illness... are you suddenly cured? or did our money help you? maybe you should be saying thank you and not sorry...?

you mention nothing about the countless voicemails people left for you... which means you DID have phone service.... all you had to do in your -don't-have-a-job state was pick the thing up....

you said "with gas prices what they are I can’t visit near as often as I like" that's a shame if it is true, but surely there's a public library closer? where you can stay in touch with the people you stole from? you have a car? you don't sound too broke to me... my wife and i both work and we can't afford a car, let alone gas prices....

you also looked pretty well and not-exactly-poor in the photo that was posted some time ago, when you were in line to meet Joe to get something signed....

so you wrote your message at home, on a computer which is surely a luxury? and you burned your Word document to a blank CD in order to take to your "brother"'s so you/he could upload it? You have a computer at home. It has a CD burner. And you have blank CDs. I am so sorry, you must really be suffering.

supaa the entire "show" was a charade... even to the extent that Joe thought T2J was going to be a covers project, that's why he personally approved the publishing rights from Strange Beautiful Music to us... we've not used them (yet), but we will, and we'll do it without a thieving, lying, attention & sympathy-seeking piece of crap like William McKim.....

Having said that, can you tell us a little more specifically what you are upset about. I understand the antipathy towards the use of the 'C' word as I also find the use of it in this forum distasteful, but just about everything else (as far as I could see) was a bit of fun. The world could do with a few more smiles!

T2J CD people

All the to do over the T2J 1 CD has reminded me about the T2J2 CD, Any news?

Captain Seve - I think the "to do" is actually regarding the second installment of the T2J CD...

OCPS/DCK/PhrygDom - Whilst your opinions and grievances may (or indeed may not) be justified regarding this matter, I think it highly insensitive of all of you to post such things in such a public forum as this, especially considering BIl's apparent remorse and the sheer balls it took to come here and very publicly admit and apologise for his actions.

AussieRG - That is of course bad news re. the Bali bombings. But what about all the other people who died that are not from Australia; are their lives worth less? I'm not having a go at all, it just grates on me a little when people talk like that. It happens here in the news, too. For example, in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina I remember one news reader or another saying that there was X amount of people dead, including X amount of Britons. Personally I don't care where they're from - they're people who died. That's what counts in my book. Please understand I'm not having a go - these bombings are terrible - I'm just sharing an opinion really... lol :-)
