OCPS470 - I used to have the same problem reading lines and posed the same arguement to my instructor. He was a classical guitarist. He proceeded to pull some stuff of the shelf and just nail it. He said there easier ways to play things and that's why you practice, BUT the fretboard needs to an extension of your body that you know on an intimate level. And with that I went back into the woodshed. Unfortunately, I still (on guitar) sight read like crap. Good luck on Sat. !!!

Hey there Alexandre buddy!!

It's a great moment when you're idol interacts with you... I met the Prime Minister of Canada (equivalent to the President of the USA) once and had a chat with him... at the time it was a great feeling to interact with someone so important... but then if you're a Canadian and you know who Brian Mulroney stood for well then...

just think of G. W. B. and there you have it... LOL

I hate fire alarms...its 5:08pm and the flats next to mine were smoking in the bedroom or microwaving metal or something equally retarded so the monotonous fire alarm went off and I was woken up...now its freezing cold outside and my tits were well and truly frozen off.

As soon as I get back inside I said to my flatmates im gonna give it a few minutes because as soon as I lie down the fire alarm will go off again...I take an orange out of my fridge start to peel it...what happens? Fire alarm goes off.

Right, if it goes off again and I get woken up...I'm gonna' start castrating people.

Suzie, er, sorry I'm not following....why do I need a Mac? I read the article and it's just some editorial on a bunch of people who don't like PC's. Maybe I'm missing something?

Alexandre, hey bro, hows things? I'm good, but aparrently I need a Mac?!
js1200js1000, Joe honestly doesn't tend to mind people taking cameras in. It's usually the choice of the venue so you could contact them first and ask, but most people just hide a small camera and take it in anyway. It's very rarely that they'll search you, unless the show is being filmed.
marimariSRV, thanks for forwarding that e-mail, those photos are amazing! I wanna go to Tibet!
Rob310, give us some more clues - are you looking to get a proper gigging amp on a medium to large budget, a practice amp on a small budget, or something that will be fine for practicing but happy to gig too on a medium budget?!

Also, what's you parameters? Is a good clean channel the priority, or a good overdrive channel? And what kind of sound are you looking for?

962- you are missing that Macs rarely go wrong and don't require running antivirus software and are very reliable and easy to use... PCs on the other hand seem to crash and go wrong far more- plenty of people on here mention how their PC has crashed, spyware, viruses etc. That's all, didn't mean to get your back up??? Since the day we got our Mac I can honestly say I would never go back to a PC. Try one, you might like it!

* I only wrote the original message after something you said to another poster about putting items in a queue or poor internet connection? Sorry if you are offended.

Hey all. Well I thought I should introduce myself properly, my name's Simon, I live in England and I've been playing guitar for four years now. My uncle introduced me to the mind blowing instrumentalist that is Satch when I was twelve. I found this site a while back and just had to join.

But, I have two questions. one, What are the chords does Joe use on the Live in San Fran version of "Devils Slide"? and two, how does Joe get such long sustain on his notes? I have an Ibanez JS100 and I have recently had Dimarzio FRED and PAF Pro pickups installed, but I still can't get notes to last as long as the intro to "Flying in a Blue Dream" on the San Fran album. Does it have something to do with the effects used/ the volume at which you're playing??

Suzie, my internet connection is bad because I use Dial-up, not because I use a PC. I'll be getting broadband at some point and then it'll be fine, regardless of the fact that I have a PC.

I don't have any problems with spyware or viruses or anything 'cause I hardly download anything. I used to use my old PC (this one with the inetrnet access) for playing games and it crashed all the time, but now I don't do that any more it's solid as a rock. My studio PC is excellent too, it takes a lot of effort to tip it off ballance....I'm very happy with it.

No you didn't offend, but I don't like to be told what I want/what I need when I'm happy with what I've got, and I'm happy with it for a reason!

I have tried Macs and I just didn't like them much, but if you or anyone else loves them then that's fine....enjoy.

js1200js1000, haha, no problem dude! No it's not a stupid question at all, it's a good question - you don't want to go to a gig with your little compact camera or something only to have it confiscated by security!

[Joe, when you're preparing for a G3 tour do you, Steve and the "3rd G" all get together to rehearse, or do you not play together until sound checks? I'm guessing you must spend some time working out your ideas together?]

musiz4me5150...hey Dean...I'm ok...have you seen all of Joe's post's in recent days? Great to see him post sooo much. I listened to your my space site, and thought "When I'm With You" had a catchy melody...one you might hear on a commerical...very nice stuff....

If you're thinking of moving to the NY area...it's very expensive to live here (one of the highest in the country), and I can't wait to get outta Dodge soon...lol...

Great to hear from you...Peace, Love & Happiness

deonblaster...welcome to the site....Joe's uses feedback to achieve that sustain...
