your vote is your choice and it is personal and your sister was wrong to share what you told her. there is not one candidate that can hold a candle to Christ therefore christian leaders, pastors etc. should not be saying 'vote for this man'. everyone, esp. christians should vote with their heart and with what they are comfortable with. no politician has Jesus's stamp of approval.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Thursday night it will strip Lance Armstrong of his unprecedented seven Tour de France titles after he declared he was finished fighting the drug charges that threaten his legacy as one of the greatest cyclists of all time.

Travis Tygart, USADA's chief executive, said Armstrong would also be hit with a lifetime ban on Friday.

Armstrong, who retired last year, declined to enter USADA's arbitration process — his last option — because he said he was weary of fighting accusations that have dogged him for years. He has consistently pointed to the hundreds of drug tests that he has passed as proof of his innocence during his extraordinary run of Tour titles stretching from 1999-2005.

Chelle, that totally burns my butt. Here's a guy with an extraordinary physique who has worked hard most of his life to achieve everything, and he's EARNED it....and a witch-hunt finally takes him down, NOT because he's actually guilty but because they just can't accept a human being could possibly be just THAT extraordinary, so SOMETHING must be off about him. They picked and picked and picked at him till he just couldn't take it anymore, and gave up the fight so his life could finally go on.

edit- My daughter was just on one of the fave websites reading about the shooting in NY, and they actually have PHOTOS POSTED of the friggin shot & bleeding people laying on the ground with a warning "graphic image" before you scroll down. I don't want to gush about how much Joe's music and his guitar playing mean to me, as I've attached so much private meaning to so many of his compositions. When my wife was dying of cancer, "Love Thing" became something that was a balm to my heart and soul, and, seven years after she's gone, it still is.

What I want so badly is for Joe to get the recognition he deserves. While the people that gravitate here know the blessed magic that lies in Joe's music, it eludes, for crass commercial reasons, the masses. His Chickenfoot endeavor is a move in the right direction, but he's tied up with the wrong people. Sammy Hagar is a wonderful stadium-rocker, but he drags Joe down. Joe's music is miles above the well-intended but crude approach of Sammy.

Who knows Paul Carrack? Been around for ages, and, in an ironic way, is sort of like Joe: better than anyone in his class--singing, songwriting, piano playing--but beautiful, melodious, Would love to see Joe and Paul Carrack get together and form the band that Joe desrves to lead. Paul Carrack too.
