Two retired professors were on vacation at a hotel in the mountains.

One evening, they were sitting on the porch, watching the sun set. One turned to the other and asked, "Have you read Marx?"

The other replied, "Yes, I have. I think they're from the wicker chairs."

Satriella, I think it was your BIG hug that helped, I'm feeling better today than yesterday! Thankyou!

Ovation1, have you got your Mourning Widows CD's yet? ;-P hehe
HAC96818, regards Joe's crazy, groovy sound on "Searching": He uses the "delay time" setting on his delay pedal. Basically, a delay pedal will have a control on it which allows you to change how fast or slow the delay/echo is. If you change this setting whilst playing (make sure you have the delay pedal switched on) you'll get Joe's crazy sound. I don't know if this works with all delay pedals, but it ought to. The only thing it might not work with is a multi-effects processor where it's all completly digital and you increase/decrease the delay time incrementally, rather than progressively.

Hope that makes sense.

js1200js1000, wow, I explained that really differently to the way I explained it to you, didn't I?! haha, sorry dude!
cuthbert, I wanted to know about where all of you live, not just the canadians! Not that you all have to tell me, but if you choose to, go right ahead!

Cuth, you neglected one very important piece of Indiana lore (at least it WILL be very important to 962) One Andy Timmons was born and raised in Indiana. Evansville I believe.

Speaking of Andy, THIS seems too good to be true... must be damaged or sumtin....

HERE is more info on the AT-300, looks like a beauty....

marimariSRV, holy cow, I'm sorry, I was wrong in telling you that Andy T is from Austin! mikesb reliably informs me that Andy was born in Indiana. My mistake! I know Andy lives and works in Austin though, and has done for a while! :-]

cuthbert, awesome, thanks for the detailed response! Don't worry, I won't start an F1 vs Indy debate - for the trackside spectators, Indy is a far greater spectacle than F1 has been for many many years. I wish we got coverage of the IRL and CART seasons here, especially CART, I'd love to see more of that!

The Monon trail looks excellent for biking, especially as part of a fitness routine. Not amazing for edge-of-oblivion, adrenaline-pumping downhill mayhem, but great for getting decent exercise!

What's Indianapolis like for it's social scene? I know it's huge so I'm sure it varies from one area to another, but is there a general 'atmosphere' to the city as a whole?

mikesb, thanks for the input on Mr T, I didn't know he was from Indiana! And yes, that does look to good to be true ;-)

Simon, Andy lives near Dallas and yes has for many years but his formative years were in Evansville (along with his first bonafide band) From his website:

Andy's musical career began in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana at the age of 13 with his first band, Taylor Bay. "Early on, I realized that making it in a rock band was such a long-shot, that I better figure out other ways of making a living playing guitar. I began reading about players like Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton who made their living as session musicians. This really appealed to me, since I really loved a wide variety of musical styles."

Stevee T, my son has not stopped on that Guitar Hero game since he got it lol... Maybe if he competes I'll judge lol. Hey, I'd rather have him learning the real McCoy, but given how predominant video games are today, I much rather have him rockin out to Boston Motorhead and Deep Purple on that game (the real songs by the way) than killing cops with an urban metal backing soundtrack!!!!!!!!

Mikesb - That AT-300 looks a lot like an HM Strat.

Back in school and ready for a normal quarter. I am flying down to Cali tomorrow and i'm going to play at my uncles funeral. Should be interesting. I don't plyt a lick of acoustic so, I'm transporting my RG and my Pandora . We'll see how it goes. May be a bit much for the older crowd...

Guitarmiester: Sorry to have missed you & that you missed all the Great Talent that played last night at the Stone Pony!! Angel Vivalidi and Matt's technical difficulties were the only disappointment of the night. Seems Angel thinks if you can play lots of notes really fast that makes you great. Sorry, he is mistaken. He needs to read Mikesb's interview with Dave Martone to learn about shredding & music. I did. Matt's tech problems were beyond his control but they had them resolved during the 2nd song. I was busy getting some great shots of Matt so I wasn't giving 100% to the sound.....I was in sync with Matt's playing & I got some great images of him. I've been able to get in sync with Vai & JOe, having seen them several times helps. You get to know the feel of the music & their expressions.......with Matt it just clicked. Really. I was able to anticipate his expressions, the connection was what I hope to achieve with JOe & Steve. It was there with Matt, just incredible!! I look forward to seeing Matt & the other Guitarists from "The Lord Of The Strings" very soon! They ROCK!!

Ovation: I have 2 of Nuno's "Mourning Widow's CD's...how bout that?! Jeff (EJ) emailed me back today, EC is having his CrossRoad's Festival this year just as I thought!! He asked EJ back & he asked SV back in '04....I want to be there to capture the Moments!! I need to work on a plan. I know I can photograph SV & maybe EJ no problem but this is 3 days & so much bigger than them.......I have to work on a plan.

Any suggestions would be helpful.....Thanks!!

mari

Just want to say that Angel Vivaldi is Very Talented! However his song's were the weakest of the night due to lack of Melody and Tone....I didn't like his tone. He has great chops but it takes more than that to be a great musician...... that's why JOe, SV & EJ are SO Special........it's a feeling / expression that you are able to express with the guitar& music that tranforms the listeners mind / soul to another level or place...... That my friends is a very special gift, Matt King has it and so do the other 3 guys & thier bands. Kick ass Girl Bass player in 1 Band & kickin everyone's ASS a girl Drumer in Rob Balducci (Fav Nation's label) Band!! Great, Great music!!

" You gotta Move, you gotta move.....get ready.....you gotta move".......Aerosmith. "Honkin On Bobo" Blues album. Great feeling, great Blues!.....Oh Yeah!!
