Sorry to say folks...it's actually 17 hrs, 49 ish minutes to the announcement....that's west coast USA time, which is the time zone Joe lives in :) Even if he's not home right now....it's midnight tonight, our time :)
I too would like to stay up to find out what's to happen, but then tomorrow for work would be soooooo bad.....may just hafta get up early :)

Hello Mr Satriani,
just a few words to say your music makes me dream, it's really difficult to explain. Many different feelings appear when listening to your music: amplitude, conciousness, versatility, joy, sadness... but above all, some kind of magical understanding about the human being.
I attended your concert in Valencia Spain on the 6th July, and I can say it was so magical I could hardly dance. You seemed really relaxed playing the guitar like if you were diving in a meditation state, in complete unity with your guitar and with everything you want to express.
Thank you so much for playing for the world!!! As I said earlier, you make me dream......

But surely the time zones are staggered for a reason...
It looks like it is designed for the announcement to be revealed at midnight wherever you are in the world...
Not everything revolves around the States y'know!!

Well must say the past 6 hrs weren't as much fun as being lined up for one of your concerts least at ya concert we get to see ya perform and never look back how long ya waited there to get front row cause it all ends up being worth it but now i dont have a clue what time i should be on here later today to see what is happening

Yeah i think it does to.....
And it sure is depressing i have been sitting here for 7 hrs flat out thinking why noone else was on here i guess they knew something i didn't oh well that is what living in australia is like we are ahead of everyone else in the world by time and 6 mths behind in whats going on in the world .....
