Joe,
I am a medical school student who is currently enduring the basic medical science segment (medical school boot camp). I had been listening to you for years along with Eric Clapton and other guitarists when I spent some spare change on your album, “Crystal Planet.” When I am having a problem with a concept in biochemistry, Physiology or Neurology I lean back in my chair turn the lights down and play “Ceremony.” Drug molecules flow into place, Cardiac problems make sense and the brain’s wiring seem to make sense. I hope you write and play more pieces like Ceremony. For everything else I can not wait.
Be good or be good at it.

Supaa yeah ignoring can make you obliviously ignorant lmao... the pics are linked to over on satrianiforum.com
guitarmeister yeah i think it might actually be a bit more "mirrory" than an original... don't know about cost though, the guy who did it is a member of the other forum, send him a pm! ;-)

Kayla, as far as taking pictures at concerts go, each venue has their own rules. When you buy tickets to a show, check out the web site for the venue and it will spell it out in the information.

TonyBurnett: Everytime I see your add for your video in Guitar PLayer magazine, I think it's a sham all the way. Sure, if you use proper technique you'll advance quickly on the instrument, but telling people you'll turn them into a shredder "over night" is a load. And telling people that you have the "secret that guitarists don't want you to tell" to becomming great is ridiculous and nearly criminal. Becomming great is o secret....it's lots of practice, using correct technique and covering many styles of playing. I find it funny that when I search you on google, I can barely find anything about you, which is odd considering you claim to be a high paid in demand session ace. If I'm wrong, sorry, but so far I see little to back up your lofty claims, feel free to clear things up. If you only posted here to advertise for your product and scam beginner guitarists, that's not cool.

MasterYoda- that is crap news about the cash, hope it sorts out soon. Matt said to ask you- are you a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors? It costs about £37 a year to be a member, but Matt gets on average a call enquiring about guitar lessons once every few weeks, it's pretty good.

Cool...Thanks for the review on the chrome JS guitars. I thought that the new one looked a little darker in the pics I've seen.
QUESTION FOR GUITAR PLAYERS:
I've been messing around with Surfing with the Alien and find that I just can't quite make the stretch that occurs at 2:29. Particularly the pull-offs from 8 to 3. Anyone else who has tried it have trouble with this part? Either my hands are small or Joe's are huge. Maybe I'll just tap this part....
Best Regards,
Mike.

82DeanZ - Joe's hands are not that big. He is quite limber though. If you watch him play some of those runs, he tends to get neck closer to vertical than normal. This exagerated classical position gives you a bit more reach. Try it and let me know. I'm not quite sure of the passage you are referring to but I'm a little guy (5'7") and have no problem reaching 3 to 8. Oh, one other idea is to play the passage on a lower string thereby reducing the distance between frets. Good Luck.

Hey there Satchers...
DelfinoPie - Hey man, sorry to hear about your aunt's condition. That's one thing about life that I'll never accept - getting old. Just have to be thankful that you got to spend the time you spent with her while she was in better health. She'll be in my thoughts, brother...
Satriella - Hey, I can relate to how you feel. Life's funny like that... sometimes you're rollin' - sometimes you're not. Just remember things have funny ways of working out, and they do work out, regardless of how bummed you may feel right now. When it happens to me, I think about the positives... the things that could be worse. That usually helps. Keep your chin up... besides, Joe's got a new CD coming out! :)
marimariSRV - I haven't seen the photos everyone's talking about, but I'm glad to hear things are working out for you!! That rocks!
962 - Dude, I checked out your tunes and they're great!! Excellent stuff, man! If you're into swapping links, give me a shout.
alexandrecaetano - Thanks again, man!! I had checked out your website a few days ago and I really like what you've got going on there. Great tunes!! Again, let me know if you want to link up to each other.
alter_ego_of_joe - Anytime, bro... just keep playing. That's the only way you'll get better... play, play, play!! Take a break every once in a while to eat, sleep, and hit the can, but keep playing bro! :)

82DeanZ I believe that part is on the high E string between the 3rd and 6th frets to begin with and then the 7th fret is added, there's no 8th fret...it's just a simple blues scale

A cowgirl, who is visiting Texas from Arkansas, walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud. She sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When she finishes them, she comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender approaches and tells the cowgirl, "You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time."
The cowgirl replies, "Well, you see, I have two sisters. One is in Australia, the other is in Dublin. When we all left our home in Arkansas, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I'm drinking one beer for each of my sisters and one for myself."
The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there. The cowgirl becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. She orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.
One day, she comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent. When she comes back to the bar for the second round, the
bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss."
The cowgirl looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in her eyes and she laughs.
"Oh, no, everybody's just fine," she explains, "It's just that my husband and I joined the Baptist Church .... and I had to quit drinking."
"Hasn't affected my sisters though."
