Monterrey Trace - Thanks, funeral tomorrow (today now) but at least my daughter is still managing to keep the baby inside, not much longer til he's viable. Earlier he wasn't too bothered about JS or JB but started rocking out when Queen's 'We will rock you' came on. Hmmm.

What a long jog/run, 14 miles today. It felt good; probably because (somehow) I lost about eight pounds and I'm under 150 for the time being.

Castle49: I am very excited for you and I hope you have fun and rock it out. ;-) Hope you're able to get some pictures of Joe and the other musicians.

Scubadaz: We would hate losing you for a long time dude. Hopefully you'll have time or any breaks to talk to us.

Cappy Steve: I'm sending prayers you're way for you and the whole family.

Skippy: I'm doing well; just trying to get things caught up around here. Luckily, I'll have my taxes finished up and I already have all my other bills paid off. Now comes the laundry, but first, I'm going to a birthday party tonight for a friend so that will be fun. I also ran with my running group. Are you running BTW? I am excited to see Joe, I don't know what to do or say when I meet/see him. Any advice my friend? I REALLY want him to sign all the CDs/albums, plus get pictures with him. I did have a dream about Joe, but I'm not saying. Otherwise, it may not come true. ;-) Join the chatroom soon; I should be on there the next day.

Grant

Glitzman - grant, I wouldn't overthink it mate. Take a coupla things you'd most like signed, and a camera, and be a little early - that should be all that's needed

Joe will make you feel at ease, he is THE Joe cool : ) Have fun

Dream 3 / Mystical - it was a bit huh : ) He always comments on how young Joe looks, asks him about diet & routine as always impressed how fresh he is after a 2hr tear up whilst pedal dancing, somersaults etc ..... I laugh because it's the same thing he asks every tour

Skippy - he's strictly short back & sides, and distinguished looking lol. No comb overs allowed : )

Happy birthday to Pippy's Poppy!!! Tell him the shaved head is very attractive compared to the comb-over lol.

Grant - what Pippy said. I guess if you line up real early and have a couple of treasured things and you're near the front then possibly Joe will be able to "sign and pic" all you can squeeze into 2-3 minutes. Austin or Axe might help here, they are the experts.

Don't forget to say hi from me (and optional kiss/hug from Skippy).

I have had to admit that I am not a runner. I try but I think I am built for strength stuff not for speed haha. I played basketball for 30 years for example, it's all sprint and muscle. Yet I would cut off a leg rather than run one block straight, even with Joe thumping through the ipod. Apart from cycling, I also do zumba which is an hilarious latin dance workout class. My friends and I die laughing but it's really fun.

Yeah Pip got a good laugh. Hope he has a Great B'day.

Maybe try this line on him u know the real reason Joe looks so young and energetic is the Bald head all his energy of growing old is going into trying to grow hair so he just stuck being young now :) :) :).

Cappy, well at least that's a ray of sunshine for you and your family, fingers, toes, eyeballs and everything else crossed for your daughter and her lil "bun" that all continues to go well for them both! Grampy Cappy, sorta has a nice ring to it :)

Pip, happy birthday to yer pops, he must be so lovely cuz, after all, he has excellent taste in music! Both yer parents do! I think the bald look would be a whole new conversation betwixt him and Joe next tour, so he should definitely think about it :D

Grant, here's something to consider...after you get the first coupla autographs from Joe, ya don't really need more....at that point, just the time you get to spend visiting with Joe instead of handing stuff over one at a time is priceless!! He's so intelligent and so easy to talk to, that time spent chatting will give you lasting memories far beyond what 15 signatures would do for ya :) I'm just sayin, u do whatever you want but I'll take face-to-face Joe-time instead of just watching Joe sign stuff any day!

You're right Pip and Skippy. I do have a Christmas Ornament with Joe's signature on it, as well as an autographed sleeve of Is There Love In Space (thanks Dave, I still have it with me). The other CDs/DVDs (of Joe) I don't have signed. The question is which ones to choose. I'm going to let you all help me decide. What's your opinion?

Tracie, you're right. Thanks for the info. I'll talk to him and get pics of him. Which CD(s) should I get signed? You help me decide.

Any advice on seeing Joe & which CDs/DVDs should I have him sign guys? I'm letting you all help me decide.

Grant, that's a really tough call for anyone but you to make. It's very personal :) You should look through all yer stuff and see what jumps out at you the most and get that signed. For us, we had Joe sign photographs of himself, or t-shirts, tour laminates....never worried too much about the cd's or dvd's, kinda went for the odd stuff. But like I said, after a few signatures, time spent just talking was golden :) We don't bother getting siggys any more at all now, unless I know of a fan that's desperate for his autograph...if there's a way I can get one for that person, then I ask Joe to sign....or if I have a joke picture or prezzie I'ma send someone (ask Mckenna or chelle, LOL) He's always incredibly gracious about signing anything!

Good luck on your decision...what day is your in-store? And yes, it's probably critical that you get there early, to make sure you have a chance to talk to Joe....as like I said, being on tour, his time will prolly be fairly limited but I know he'll do his best!

He is scheduled to come on March 22nd. It looks like I might be shopping for some sharpies. ;-p.

All his CDs are awesome and every single one is considered one of my favorites.

I do have a Chickenfoot poster I got off of Ebay a few months ago. Maybe I could do that, and I also have my movie stub when I saw Chickenfoot at the movies. I'll look through some hats, shirts, and any other things/odds & ends and try to come up with something.

elpp - I think The Incident is a great album, but it's not one I'd recommend for people new to Porcupine Tree. It's A LOT of music and it takes a while to digest.

I don't recall if you're already familiar with the band. If not, you can stream their albums for free at http://www.porcupinetree.com. I'd recommend listening to Anesthetize from Fear Of A Blank Planet to start.

They're good, but I'm not sure how you'd take them/this album, to be honest...they can get DT-heavy at times, but they're also light and atmospheric. If you don't have any of their music, Deadwing or Fear Of A Blank Planet might be a better place for you to start...those are their heaviest albums.

Skippygirl - Nope, I'm not on the Iron Maiden DVD...it must be someone else. ;-)

I do love that band, though...I've been getting into them a lot lately.

McDave - Happy birthday to your daughter!
castle49 - I look forward to reading your review. I'm seeing the Universal City show on Friday...go ahead and share all that you can and I'll add to it. Between the two of us we can hopefully have a solid review for everyone else.
scubadaz - Come back soon!
Listening to: Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl (current song: Bullet Proof)

Does anyone else have this album? The single Slide is waaay overplayed, but I like the rest of the album a lot...good pop/rock.

Austin, I haven't had a chance to listen to Porcupine Tree, but do you have any advice for me when I see Joe on the 22nd? I'll be seeing & meeting him, plus pics & autograph(s). What should I say to him when I meet him face to face? If you can help me, I do appreciate it. I have been told to go to you, axeshredderjc, and a couple of others. Thanks dude.

Pip: got to play it! WOW! I forgot how different a fixed-bridge is!!!!

Initial thoughts: man, what a find! The flight case was almost immaculate, the body only has a couple of imperfections, a few minor scratches on the horn, some impressions on the back, and a minor rub on the front around the jack. Other than that it's awesome, so warm and full, but you switch to bridge and it is quite lively, can definitely be too sharp if you are careless.

Started with brother John (duh), and went through all the logical songs: midnight, day at the beach, baroque, tears in the rain, etc.. Was great for some backing riffs after that made me rock back in the chair and just pluck around for an hour or so after that. Great find.. Very smooth too. It arrived well intonated with a super-low action and straight neck - not sure who set it up...

Frets seemed a little high though, not sure if I'm just playing it too heavily, will play it a bit more over the next few days and get used to it.

Apple picked up my app in only a few hours and it's now in review. Cross your fingers everyone...

Also, the redundancy was not unexpected and quite welcome. A paid 4 month vacation to work on my own things... And play guitar!! :) not really fretting about work right now, might change my tune in a few months.. Lol
