Satriella "...I mean where does that ladder go...have you seen how far up it is!" I'm guessing, the ladder is the way to the door! They gotta climb from where ever to get to the door! Lol! That's a cool pitcure. Imagine if that was a real house, having to get in and leave by climbing?! That would be pretty hard to really do much living there...how would you bring home stuff you just bought without dropping it or falling?! Strange... The 8th picture was pretty cool too, I like the lift to get there and back. Lol.

MarimariSRV I don't think I have anyone that can go to see Satch at Starland on a Tuesday night...hopefully I'll see you there. Everyone either has work or school the next day...For some reason I wake up easier when I have less sleep? Usually go to sleep anywhere from 12-1, maybe close to 2, then have to wake up at 6. Not too bad, but if I go to sleep before 12, I usually have a hard time getting up?

-I'm in a pretty crappy situation, I want/need to get a new head (amp), and I'm looking to get the Mesa Single Rectifier Solo 50 head, but my mom is buggin me that it costs too much ($999.99, about $1060 with tax, I think.) The main thing is that I don't work at the time, I don't really need a job, but after this purchase I will. So, what I'm going to try: the guys at the music store know me pretty well, and the two guys are telling me that the Mesa would be my best choice for that price range, and it was mainly what I wanted...I'll tell them, if they get me a job there I'll buy the amp. Hey, they are looking for help, why not?! Should work, I hope. I used to have my own small business going, I bought and sold music equipment, it went really well the whole time (as long as you know what to buy you will do fine.) But, I got really busy and had to stop, maybe I'll get it going again...it went really smoothly, not one problem! Too much blabbing...I'll stop now.

-What song is everybody listening to right now? I'm listening to Pain of Salvation - People Passing By

-Today has been a great day so far, and on top if it all, it's really nice out! Off to play some guitar for a while.

Yoda - it turns out to be 3 rehearsals..

2 are rhythm section only..

and 1 is a full band rehearsal..

I feel so much more confident now...

oozing confidense..

oozing down me trouziz.. lmao...

lmao.. how can you play a gig.. no rehearsals and accidentally find the drummer is yer bro.. roflmfao...
that is insane... lmao..

962 - I got the ETA Systems PD8L

http://www.turnkey.co.uk/tkweb/stockdetail.jsp?sku=ETA-PD8LIEC&context=WEB

it's pretty cute actually and looks very pretty in the rack.. lol..

a few things to note about conditioners though...

they cannot clean out any crap that is picked up / generated by your guitars, pedals, amp etc....

they only clean up the mains power supply and offer protection..
it just so happens that my mains supply was nasty enough to be able to hear the difference..

SteveeT - that's the trouble with all these toys... you go into the studio intend on practicing the live set, or mixing down...

you then start noodling with some effects and have a light goof around...

in a blink of an eye.. 4 hours has elapsed and you not done what you intended to.. lmao..

alexandre - kind words?? lol.... hahaa.. simply an observation the truth spoken bro..

easy stuff to say.. lol..

satriella - "am I nearly there?"

sorry girlie... nearly where?.. lmao...
've lost track of what we were talking about...

Mikey - David is banking on us lot reacting well to pressure..

he's not a fan of being "over prepared" because he says it makes for a jaded performance...

but meeting up for a coffee having not seen each other for a year.. and then playing gigs.. lmao....

Slansh - I've heard great things about the GNX sound.. I didn't know the thing about the "gap" though..
in the 2120 there is a feature called "seamless"
this allows the sounds from the previous patch to bleed over when you change patch..
so delays and reverbs etc don't suddenly stop when you make the change..
this means that patch changes are very natural and .. er.. well... seamless... lmao....

so.. I've tried the GT PRO.. and now my 2120 is back from the menders and looking good so far....

verdict...

the GT PRO is amazing..

the 2120 is awesome...

but in fairness... I'm used to the GT PRO... knocking the shit out of it in a store for an hour is not the same as owning it for 8 years and knowing it inside out..

but I'd not expect the GT PRO to dissappoint...

the cool thing is.... now the 2120 is happy, I can wait for the next rack mounting Digitech offering.....

which I am waiting for with baited breath...

Hey guitar players out there..I got a question for you..Im learning surfing with the alien at the moment..and things are going great.Im looking ahead in the song to see what i have to look forward at and in the last solo there is a section that requires a 8th fret to 3rd fret pull off..JEZZZZ! I can get from the 3 to 8 the on the Low E,a,d,g because of hand positioning but when i get down to the b and high e...i just cant do it..anyone know of any good exercises..that will contort my muscles enough to get that far..I know it takes time and patience which i have..just though i would ask..thanks everyone.

Joe - http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/7037919/a/Super+Colossal.htm has a Super Colossal track listing that's out of order, and in place of "Crowd Chant", has a song title called, "Party On The Enterprise". Is this the same song as Crowd Chant?

Ya Yo Gakk - I'm in the middle of researching this, actually. There's a guy who claims on his Web site that it comes from the movie, Not Of This Earth. However, he's got a link to the 1988 movie - NOTE the album came out in '86. However, there is a movie called Not Of This Earth from 1957 as well, so maybe the guy is right and just linked to the wrong movie...

I've written to him to ask him where he heard/read this info. I'll let you know what I find out if Joe doesn't answer in the meantime.

I'd also like to know why the cover art was changed. I have this on vinyl with a space painting on it.

hiya guys....I've got Joe on (bootleg, lol) dvd from his EWJ gig in Pennsylvania October 2004 saying the Not of This Earth title comes from a really bad science fiction movie that came out...it was like a nod to his high school friends when he named the album that...cool story, and straight from Joe.

Kayla...medication and heavy leather straps may be all that's left for u if u don't get under control....... ;) but really......you need to find the control/anti-spazz button and PUSH it.......

chelly...look who showed up today...it's ALLY and he's ALIVE!!!! Or at least he's pretending to be....he dint say much and it wasn't funny...he must still be feeling very bad....hiya mooney, let us know how ya are!

Hey everyone . . .

We had a death in the family last week.

Not feeling up to much posting lately, just at odd times when I have time.

If anyone wants to drop a note - email me. I may not be checking the T2Joe board a lot.

Things get put into perspective at times like this.

Just didn't want anyone to think I disappeared - I will be around, just in a more limited role.

Will see you soon.

Satriella, oh the computer is ok, it's just the internet connection that sucks. Anyway, the blue one (as shown in it's file name) is a Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3. It's designed by a Brazillian dude called Horacio Pagani, who lives in Italy, and he called his car the 'Zonda C12'.

The '7.3' bit just refers to the engine capacity in litres. So you could just call it a Pagani Zonda if you like, I'm sure nobody will mind!

js1200js1000, haha, thanks dude, I appreciate your compliments! And really, you're very welcome for the guitar stuff, it's no trouble! I really hope you find it useful!
Clarky, "they cannot clean out any crap that is picked up / generated by your guitars, pedals, amp etc...." yeah that's cool, my signal is pretty clean anyway 'cause the only pedal I use much is my Wah.

The mains power to the building with my musicroom/studio in is relatively low though, so the available electricity is spread pretty thin! Did you say it offers a little protection too? Tell me more!...

Zinc Master, aww I'm sorry to hear you lost someone dude :-( You will be missed while you're gone, but I'm sure I can speak for everyone in saying that we understand, and we'll be thinking of you and your family! Take it easy buddy

Hey there

I didnīt think I could find the Satriani straps at all in this country (Germany), but finally I found an Online Shop which has them in store...much more expensive than in the US. However they look extremely cool, canīt decide ;)

Iīve wanted to write some more, but now itīs away. I think the new album is coming on 10th march here, Iīm really excited.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. This is my first post here. Like said above Iīm from Germany and 18 years old. Playing the guitar since 2004 I think. Not that good, but it improves..hopefully. Sorry for my bad English. I read and hear it often, but when it comes to writing...

Hope I can see Joe live someday :)

cheese101 - thanks for the info. Much appreciated. So I guess he was talking about the 1957 movie, then. I'm guessing he didn't see it in the theaters, though, since he was, what, 1 year old? :-)

zinc - sorry to hear that.

njbeast - Jeff did post on here - once, back in 2000 or early 2001. I was just looking at it the other day, but I can't find it now. Stu used to post a lot, talking up his then new album, "Outbound", calling himself a "ham", etc. :-)
