Steven Wilde - part of the fun of being a player is not only building up your own ability, but also bringing on other less experienced players...
kind of like "training the youth team".....
and if I know that I can make a difference then it makes me feel very good...
dck - I've got a Triton too... are they the dogs or what....
I love it..
Yoda - thanks for raising this... but I'm not that worried about it... I've seen albums with the same or similar titles before... I don't recall it causing a stir...
SteeveT - Shredz should be ready around summer - schedule permitting.... I still have one last track to record.... then I'll need to spend a month or two refining and tidying things up here and there....
then I need to master it, get the art work sorted and my first batch produced.....
the trouble is that I have to do everything myself and pin down a day job... and now David Cross has decided to get active..... so this is all delays.....
does my head in..
Shell - illness?.... what was wrong....??
The Vai gig.. is that the girl I met you with at a gig once?.. I get too monged so I can never tell people or gigs appart... lol...
The T2J CD is out and available..... it's very nice too...
wow... I can see how the internet can get you in the shit... I guess I spend more time on it at work than I should...
Mikey - the DC gigs are 22nd and 23rd of April in Tokyo.... if you want I'll find out the venue details and door opening times etc.... I think that gig starts early... much earlier than I'm used to.. even as a support band..
VFR - I got the idea for the album title from Mussorgski's Pictrures at an Exhibition... given that all of my tracks are based upon pictures, the title made sense...

Suzie, congratulations! if I knew where you lived I'd have a bottle of Champaigne sent to you, but it probably wouldn't get there until after you'd left! hehe.
jazzzzzy, "i am such a crybaby"....haha! That's hilarious dude. In all fairness tho, if it's somewhere you have to live for a while, you want it at least to be somewhere pleasant that you can retreat to, not somewhere you really can't stand. I hope you get your move dude!
ovation1, good to see you round here sensai! I take your point about Steve and Joe's hands being tied, and I think that, to a certain extent, they could well be. But, Steve just seems to be taking it a bit too far. For collectors of Vai stuff, it's going to rinse the bank account!
Austin, did you get the EJ newsletter? I can't wait to see that signature strat, and Bloom coming out this summer.....YIPPEEEEEEE!

Stevee T, any success at Thomas site yet? I found some original tunes there as well but cannot down load em. DCK mentioned to me and I saw on Thomas site that Ron Thal actually guest soloed on one of Thomas tracks.. How cool is that.
SOTD, LifeForce, Vinnie Moore inspired by Thomas' excellent version. I had forgotten what a cool song that was and how suprised I was that when I first heard it that Vinnie could shred in that style.....

Is It A Stroke Or Heart Attack?
Things You Should Know (for yourself and others)
Is It a Stroke?
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately,
the lack of awareness spells disaster for the stroke victim. A stroke
victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the
symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say any bystander can recognize a
stroke by asking three simple questions:
* Ask the individual to smile.
* Ask him or her to raise both arms.
* Ask the person to speak a simple sentence.
If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately
and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. After discovering that a
group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm
weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to
learn the three questions. They presented their conclusions at the
American Stroke Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread
use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the
stroke and prevent brain damage.
Is it A Heart Attack?
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10
people, you can bet that at least one life will be saved. Read this...
It could save your life!!
Let's say it's 6:15 P.M. and you're driving home (alone of course),
after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset, and
frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest
that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are
only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately
you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained
in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did
not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE
Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without
help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to
feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and
very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and
the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep
inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two
seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to
be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and
coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The
squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In
this way, heart att! ack victims can get to a hospital.
Tell as many people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!

michelle: lol, if it has four pops (propellors) and makes a low deep humming sound it is a C130.... Unless of course it's not a prehistoric taradactal, lol!! ;-) The Marine Corps ones are all light and dark grey, and the Air Force ones have the different color greens.... If there is a base near you, they are probably pre-positioning supplies and people to bigger bases where they can transport overseas.... The C-130's are very slow too, and here is a pic of one so you can check to see....
Clarky: Sounds kuul bro, and if you can get more info as the dates get closer, that would work.... Have fun man!!....
962: Hey man, I got a few days to check in at the right time here, lol.... I see what your saying about Steve, and his rules are really funny.... "No babies in arms" etc, lmao!!.... He did do something better though.... He kept the EVO Premium people out of the backstage giveaway, and saved that for site members only.... But, cant you be both??.... lol.... And one more thing.... Is'nt Steve looking just like the Ultra Zone character from the album these days!!!! ;-)
....Well peeps, gotta run.... Be back when I can....

Ola, how was your holidays? I just caught up with 20 or so pages of posts. I took your quiz and scored as a
"CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government
control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on
the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention
and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.
Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,
tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what
they describe as "practical" solutions to problems."
Interesting very interesting....................................
Also the silo home is the coolest crib I have ever seen. I would love to own one.

Just listened to all of the clips on the "Talk 2 Joe"CD.
Nice compilation of talent. It's always great to hear
other players and their styles of music. I'm wondering
how successful the CD was, and if there are any plans
of a Volume II?
Haven't had much time to play the past few years, but
hearing other musicians has inspired me to make a little
time to pick up the axe again.

Newbies ~ we have a fantastic cd featuring the folks here at T2J who have recorded their own ORIGINAL songs onto one compact disc titled SATCHERATED FEEDBACK.
Here's what Joe himself had to say about it ~ "The T2J CD is finally available for all to enjoy! You've got to check out how our fellow musicians here at satriani.com are writing, playing and recording. This is a great CD, the first of many more I hope! --Joe"
At the request of Joe Satriani, proceeds will go to the International Red Cross.
You can find it at www.Talk2Joe.com :-)
