Howdy from UT!

Hope you are feeling better Joe!

This is my first post..ever on any web site. I was just never that interested in anything before. But after listening to Satch on a few of his records on Real Rhapsody, I was at once reduced to tears and excited as Hell. Incredible! I was heated up to the point that I decided to play the guitar again after 36 years away from it ( I had a little garage band in Junioir High in the 60's). I bought a guitar at a garage sale for $1 and put some strings on it and played for a month or so. God that thing was awful and wonderful at the same time! The action was about 1/2" high at the 12th fret, but I was learning again so it was good. So for Christmas my wife surprises me with an Ibanez SA160 with a crate amp and and a digitech modeler! What a woman!

Being the obsessive guy that I am, I now listen to Joe all day (I bought two CD's and the G3 Live in Denver DVD so it's legal) for inspiration and practice all night. I am hoping to be part of the entertainment at my 50th birthday party this summer. I have learned the chords to" If I could Fly", Rockin in the Free World" and "Little Wing", but the solos are just too much for me at this point. Hopefully the old fingers will come around eventually. At least the people throwing stuff at me will be friends! Deb and I are hoping to catch the makeup show in Vegas in April. That would be a highlight!

Joe, I have to say that I was amazed at how "normal" you appeared on the DVD. In fact that is what I like best about you. You are human! No Bullshit, just real. You feel and react just like the rest of us and it is wonderful to me.

Anyway, Thanks for reading and for the inspiration Rob

Mike, I really appreicate Your serious encouragement! I am really trying to accomplish something, And add to the Musical World. There's so much talent, and so much competion. And, I am like 100 years behind. I practice, Hard every each, and day. night, and day- I fall asleep with the guirtar on, and wake up playing sub-consieley? everyhting, I do is guitar, and drum, bass, orienated. Even Randell, is overwhelmed at My ambition! But You've heard Me, and Know Me. I've got to see how far I can take this, Before I give it up. I just got done analyzing "The Jody Grind" by Horace Silver for guitar class. Pretty easy blues piece with some tri-tone subs. Over the next week I have to write my own melody over the changes. I hope he gives us a solo break. It would be fun to jam over. Can you say lydian -dom!! Oh well, I have a Chem mid term in an hour, should go good. I studied all day yesterday.

Cheese - April 24 is nearing. I hope you get to come up a day early.

962 I ended up going into college in the end lmao...I knew that my english teacher would have something to give out with regards to coursework so I went to see her conviniently as the lesson ended and was told she was in a foul mood...so the phrase "oh f*ck it then" came to mind...but then I realised how important the handout might have been so I picked it up anyway...She seemed to be alright with me, I mean I obviously looked like a pile of crap because one of the "rubanesque" guys in college asked me if I wanted a hug...then jokingly asked me to meet him round the back in 10 minutes lol...

Anywayz I got home and my mom had got me a load of stuff to get me feelin' wicked again. I also got some practices arranged with my band so hopefully I can get better soon so I can get into playing "Let the spirit fly" by Racer X for the college band night in the summer. (alongside other songs ofcourse)

I also booked the table at the chinese all you can eat for saturday for me and my friends. I'm hoping to stay until they ask us to leave lol.

Right well I'm off to drink plenty-o-fluids and sleep.

Peavey really returns your mails Hahaha Almost like Joe said, I send a mail to peavey suggesting for a 60 watts JSX combo, and next day they return my mail (are they good or what?? = ) ), Peavey said that they are thinking on realising the 60 watts combo or at least the JSX combo with the *Power Switch* that Joe told us on the post before NAMM.
Take care everybody ; ) read you around HAHA

Thanks Steve Wilde, I also like your tunes, tell me what gear do you use for your songs. Some times it sounds like if you were using a roland FX.
