Phil I'm still here....just reading and occasionally wading in to remind you all I'm still here and interested. I'm saddened by all this lawsuit stuff. Bored, I typed in the two words associated with the band into a thesaurus. If anyone can do better I'll be happy, but for now I call them 'Chillyparticipate'

Now for a confession, I quite like them, I see their point in the world of pop, and fair enough, the world is big enough to accomodate every taste in music. I even, at the behest of an ex, owned one of their CD's...I don't know which one....so obviously it didn't have that big an impact on me!

Now Joe playing, has a huge impact on me. It's not just about the music (although it's mostly about the music), it's about being interested in the music maker, and in this case the music maker happens to be a really nice guy. Oh enough...everythings been said!

On another note....I've made a pact with my children NOT to wake me at 4.15am on christmas morning. A little bit of negotiation took place I said 7.30 they said 7 so we settled on 7.15! I hate it because I have to wait for them to go to sleep so I can sneak into their rooms to fill their stockings and they're so bloody excited they're not asleep until 3am!!!!!!!

I love Christmas!

About "Seal Clubbing"
As A Newfoundlander, then seal hunt is nothing new to me. I am in support of the hunt. Sure 200 000 seals are killed a year, but if it wasn't for that then imagine how many families wouldn't be able to afford Joe Satriani CD"s for their kids for Christmas, or would beable to even put food on the table! In comparison, there are 10 BILLION Chickens Killed each year in the USA, but no one cares. You See a little blood on the ice (from gunshots, not clubs) and the media freaks out. Clubbing is no longer allowed. There was one terriable videotape back in the 80's of a crew that did everything wrong, and they have since been legal dealt with.
Long story shot (too late), The Seal hunt is just another industry that people are a part of to make money. If you are going to boycott the seal hunt, then I'd suggest you boycott every other hunt there is.

Blue Moon - LMAO, good observation man

Have been watching the Deep Purple Saarbrucken (sp?) video - what a ripper - Joe is really on fire, but the whole band is in top form too IMHO. Amazing solo on the keyboards.

Merry Christmas Joe, to you and your family, thanks for the music, I am taking the ipod up to the mountains for Xmas, crammed with your CD's.

It's a hot 34 deg C in Melbourne BTW peeps.

Have a cool yule.

Hey Joe (if you read this), Good luck with the court issue with Coldplay. It doesn't seem like it's your style to get all worked up over stuff, but sometimes you have to stand up for what is yours and what is right. I'm behind you, man! Good luck!

Maritime--I would like to help you mend your nets so they are ready for Spring fishing.

The following are lyrics to a song for all the rugged individualists on this board.

"A winter's day in a deep and dark December. I am alone. Hiding in my room, safe within my room, I touch no one and no one touches me......I am a rock, I am an island........AND A ROCK FEELS NO PAIN AND AN ISLAND NEVER CRIES."

This was written by a singing/songwriting team who got their start in the 1960s...Any guesses?

well...looks like I better start looking for another job...

my boss has been showing signs of not liking me for a while...

he is very very old fashioned...he didn't like it coz I juggled... I used to get a lift in with the warehouse guy...but robert changed his hours and said that I couldn't come in on the works van....

he doesn't like the fact that I like guitar music..and now...

Friday he calls me into the board room and shouts the roof off at me

why?

Because i put "regards Satriella"on an INTERNAL email....

he said that I was damaging the company reputation by changing my name and that I was a weirdo and he wasn't having it!...this is the mild version!

The thing is no one outside the company who is work related knows I changed my name...I very rarely put my ame on anything anyway...and if I did it would be no different to the person at the other end to when I took over the job and the name changed from my pre-decessor to my name.

Joe Satrini - Sorry to hear about your cat...wishing her well

Ibanez_god - Cinderella...hehe that was funny!

Hugs Satriella xx

BELIEVE it or not , these are REAL 911 Calls

Dispatcher : 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller: I heard what sounded like gunshots coming from the brown house on the corner.
Dispatcher: Do you have an address?
Caller: No, I have on a blouse and slacks, why?

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller: Someone broke into my house and took a bite out of my ham and cheese sandwich .
Dispatcher: Excuse me?
Caller: I made a ham and cheese sandwich and left it on the kitchen table and when I came back from the bathroom, someone had taken a bite out of it.
Dispatcher: Was anything else taken?
Caller: No, but this has happened to me before and I'm sick and tired of it!

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller: I'm trying to reach nine eleven but my phone doesn't have an eleven on it.
Dispatcher: This is nine eleven.
Caller: I thought you just said it was nine-one-one
Dispatcher: Yes, ma'am nine-one-one and nine-eleven are the same thing.
Caller: Honey, I may be old, but I'm not stupid.

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What's the nature of your emergency?
Caller: My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart.
Dispatcher: Is this her first child?
Caller: No, you idiot! This is her husband!

Dispatcher: 9-1-1
Caller: Yeah, I'm having trouble breathing. I'm all out of breath. Darn....I think I'm going to pass out.
Dispatcher: Sir, where are you calling from?
Caller: I'm at a pay phone. North and Foster.
Dispatcher: Sir, an ambulance is on the way. Are you an asthmatic?
Caller: No . Dispatcher: What were you doing before you started having trouble breathing?
Caller: Running from the Police.

Hugs & Laughs Satriella xx

ibanez_god: Great meal! Can almost taste it now....I had a listen to the valveking previously and it does sound good. Only prob is I want a head, and they only do a 100w one, which I think is a bit too much for home use.
guitarmatt: Sounds like you had a good time anyway...well, apart from the unique awakening system. :) And yes, young cousins can be annoying; I have two younger ones and boy can they get over-excited at Xmas.
DoTheStu: Hey right back at you...sounds like a good few days for you. Not heard much of the Black Crowes, worth checking out?
