for all those who need it....

WALK!!!!

Cant you see we're easily bothered by persistence

One step from lashing out at you...

You want in to get under my skin

And call yourself a friend

Ive got more friends like you

What do I do?

Is there no standard anymore?

What it takes, who I am, where Ive been

Belong

You cant be something youre not

Be yourself, by yourself

Stay away from me

A lesson learned in life

Known from the dawn of time!!

RE-SPECT WALK!!!

Run your mouth when Im not around

Its easy to achieve

You cry to weak friends that sympathize

Can you hear the violins playing you song?

Those same friends tell me your every word

Is there no standard anymore?

What it takes, who I am, where Ive been

Belong

You cant be something youre not

Be yourself, by yourself

Stay away from me

A lesson learned in life

Known from the dawn of time!!

RE-SPECT WALK!!!

SLANSHROOM AND ICEMAN 2 A couple of martial arts fans and practioners. Great! I've been studying the "arts" for quit some time now and have found no one art with an edge. Went all the way with Wing Chun and yes ICEMAN 2 you are right on the money. The test is the same, but not within the confines of a building. It is now open to all to evaluate. The suits the attackers wear are similar and updated. It is great because you can unload but the catch is that you must use Wing Chun technique to pass the test. This is why I failed my first 2 attempts. Too much reflex kicking. I love chi sao "sticky hands" and use the wooden dummy at least once a week just to keep the forearms bruised. Into jiu jitsu now and enjoy that for one on one submission. Thai kickboxing for the legs in my early years. Just a short on Steven S. Aikido is bad and I know you guys know that. Most martial arts dont put "fright" into me, but an aikido master is deadly. Do not f..k with one. Taoism priests are another "beware of". They are calm and multiple attackers are no problema. But you dudes know that. Thanks for the congrats on the Ph.D slanshroom. You know you are right about Healey. At least he is still with us and I have always held him in the highest regard. Thanks again for the link buddy

WATERPROOF SOAP Did you notice that Dave L. initially used a 5 string with JP and JS, but in the latest photos he has switched to a 4 string? Who started the 5 and 6 string bass anyway?

As I mentioned before, I picked up the Hendrix dvd and they interviewed the producer. Forgot his name and I'm too lazy to go get the jacket. Anyway, did you know that he wanted to end Woodstock with Roy Rogers singing "Happy Trails"? Is that funny or what? You remember Roy and Dale on the old tv show in the 50/60's? I can just see whats happening backstage while Jimi is doing his set. Here Roy drink a little wine, it will calm your nerves. Have a hit off this reefer and let me put this under your tongue. Now go out there in front of 300,000 people and sing Happy Trails! THAT would have been a great ending huh? He was serious. Anyway, HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU ALL. HAVE A GREAT CONCERT AND A GREAT EVENING. ALOHA TO ALL! THE G BOY......................

Hey all,

Just a quick update. The gig on Sat went well. People were dancin' and having a good time. The night was not without mistakes but over all it seemed like people didn't really notice. As my old band teacher said "Start together and end together. The rest is fluff. " We play again this Thursday ( insert shameless plug Hook'D)

I'm hopin for another good outing sans trainwrecks.

Joe just in case you do actually have time to read all of these I want to apologise on behalf of the people who were at Manchester Apollo on 16/06 (06/16 to u) I last saw you in the early 90's and as well as Vai, Gary Moore, SRV, Slash, Hendrix you have been a major influence on not only making me want to play guitar but the way I play and feel the guitar. For me seeing you was for I imagine like a lot of people seeing Hendrix for the first time years ago. Do you think that the people who saw Hendrix would actually have stayed sat down for the whole show and then not even stood up at the end. I appreciate not everyone can stand up but I would have thought the majority would! We stood up for 5 mins hoping everyone would follow suit but they didnt. I have listened to your music since I was 12 (14 years ago) and listen/play your stuff most days, therfore when I see it for real I close my eyes and let myself go. Near the end I met a lad who felt the same, then there was a few more and when Summer Song came on we were both going for it! A venue like that can t ake the seats out and it should have done, if not people should stand up at the very least to show their respect for one of the greatest guitarists who has ever lived! Everyone I talked to said they wanted to stand up but waited, I saw Vai at Newcastle and Joe and everyone stood up as they did with Whitesnake. Im not from Manchester and proud of it after what I saw. Joe next time just tell them to stand up they all wanted too and everyone would have had a better time, bloody british reserved attitude I hate it. Well rant over and do want to say an amazing show and yet again an amazing guitarist, some people would have gone stale over this amount of years and albums but Joe is certainly still at the front edge, I salute you!!!!!!

SLANSHROOM Thanks for the links to the references buddy. My Sifu recently had a stroke and is now disabled but he does get out at times. Its a shame, he was such a soft, humble man, but overweight and had poor eating habits. A group of us went to Hong Kong awhile back to visit some of the wing chun academy schools of which there are few remaining. It was disappointing to see how their discipline of form has disintegrated over the years. We just enjoy the art and want it passed down in its proper form. Because it is a soft style it works well with the ladies and its fun to chi sao with girls. They can do some damage. Love it though. The greatest thing that really sold me on wing chun vs the other forms is of course the 3 sets. All other forms such as tiger crane, pm, dm, etc involve multiple sets. I'm not good with memorization so.....that leaves more time for engagement. Well, I'm not going to talk your ear off this late at night. I agree with your insight on drug abuse recovery systems. Unless youve been there and done that you have no perspective or expertise on arriving at a successful outcome. Besides, work is required to take the mind off the condition. Otherwise you tend to dwell on your problems. That aint good. Good talking with you. Have a good night. GRRowler out.....................
