IS THERE ANY PARTY HEADS IN SATCHLAND?
Rave exploaded onto the scene durin my youth and I have been into it when the partys were illegal. I got fed up with tryin to put bands together. Ive been experimenting with computer based Hardhouse/Hardcore music becuase computers always turn up to rehersals and play exactly what you tell them to.
Also I find this an exciting medium because no one else is doin Guitars and House. I can do anythin I want total freedom of expresion. I started jammin with DJs at partys and I am now in the process of writin an album. Not only am I playin live I am also sampling Guitar phrases and noises.
To my knowledge there are very few people doin this. The closest I have heard to what I am doin is UK festival band Senser (now split up unfortunatley) and Space age rockers Ozrics Tentacles. If anyone else is experimentin with this let me know. I am also aware that Joe briefly flirted with techno durin Engines of Creation which I love.
I remeber bein at Uproar in Milton Keynes last year. I was wearin my Ozzy tshirt and there was a tap on my shoulder. This very well spoken voice said my Dad used to play in his band. He was a keyboard player and did Mr.Crowley. Quick as a flash I realised his Dad was Lyndsay Bridgewater! His lad was also into metal and Hardcore. So I cant be the only one.
Just got tickets for the Hardcore Heaven Weekender at Pontins in Southport on 3-5th of March. Best party of the year so far. All the people are cool and friendly! If there are any partyheads on line you got to check it out.

Clarky - I've never heard Emily Remler, and the only Martin Taylor stuff I'v heard are his columns/trasnriptions for Guitar Techniques magazine, which I hardly ever buy. Could you recommend a track/album by both?

Clarky:I,m curious about the GT pro but i,ve a feeling Digitech are goin to release another monster guitar preamp rack soon that will dust the lot.The GNX3000 has made a huge breakthrough with the pre amp side ideas....But couple that with valves & what the 2120 has with fx,s & a lil Lexicon...... adios competition! The dodge part was the pre amp section & a more robust editing wheel, which lets face it... gets serious SERIOUS abuse, lol.
A finger touch screen guitar pocessor to change parameters without the need of abrasion from pots, bro....its just round the corner

Michelle: Isn't that Bruce Lee's brother? ;-)
Mikey-San: Those Paul G clips are goooooooooooood. He's someone I've always had on the back burner, in the "Check Out One of These Days" dept, but I can see I'm going to have to turn up some heat on that burner!
DelfinoPie: As to the question of which Rush CDs to buy, that's easy. Get them all!

Mikesb........ My hunch was correct. I figuired Eric really wouldn't go anywhere else. But when recording as you know it's not not who you know but the sound you're looking for. Then you choose your studio. Pat's got a great studio. A very small home basement set up like me. But Pat Doody not only is a suburb drummer .....he's an excellent engineer and producer. I recorded a demo there for our band ( Pat on drums) and I could tell right away he knew what he was doing. I keep in touch with Pat. He invites me to jams on occasion and I go when I can. He's in a band called The Voices Band. Pat left me to join them cause they play like 8 to 10 times per month. Pat does this for a living so Adios emigos. I told him no prob it's a business....you go where the work is. Anyway, I'm glad Eric hooked up with Pat. I know the cd sounds great without even listening to it yet.

Texans in Heaven....
Gabriel came to the Lord and said "I have to talk to you. We have some Texans up here who are causing problems. They're swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, barbecue sauce is all over their robes, their dogs are riding in the chariots, and they're wearing baseball caps and cowboy hats instead of their halos. They refuse to keep the stairway to heaven clean. There are watermelon seeds and pig feet bones all over the place. Some of them are walking around with just one wing."
The Lord said, "Texans are Texans, Gabriel. Heaven is Home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, call the Devil."
The Devil answered the phone, "Hello? Hold on a minute."
The Devil returned to the phone, "O. K., I'm back. What can I do for you?"
Gabriel replied, "I just want to know what kind of problems you're having down there."
The Devil said, "Hold on again. I need to check on something."
After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, "I'm back. Now what was the question?" Gabriel said, "What kind of problems are you having down there?"
The Devil said, "Man, I don't believe this....Hold on.
This time the Devil was gone 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said, "I'm sorry, Gabriel, I can't talk right now. Those Texans have put out the fire and are trying to install air-conditioning."
lol....u can go to Texas Joe, just be sure to come to the west coast fer some sanity..... :D (I love Texas)

OMEGAN WARRIOR: I have asked him for years to come to Bend..... Hahhaha..... His gigs in PDX always rock. This time around I'm wondering if he and Eric will play in the Snitz instead of the Roseland due to the potential draw of people?
I didn't know there was another Joe fan in Bend..... Do you play? Let's get together and jam........

KISS News
Kiss have partnered with Gemini Cosmetics to launch their own line of fragrances. "We thought about doing makeup," jokes singer-guitarist Paul Stanley, "but we weren't sure how many women would want to walk around with white-painted faces."
The signature men's and women's scents will debut in September. Stanley adds that a line of Kiss-branded clothing also is in the works.
Meanwhile, founding Kiss drummer Peter Criss has posted a message of condolence to his old bandmate Ace Frehley, whose mother passed away Feb. 6.
