Joe, my man!
I am NOT a big fan of Sammy, but I HAVE to admit. . . he was pretty jammen last Friday night in Philly. You guys ROCKED. I just wish I knew more of the material. That's aaa-ite. I get the CD in the next day or two (I pre-ordered it ;-)
Joe. . . . darling sweet Joe. . . I have to ask you this. I have NOTHING but the utmost respect for you and your music. BUT. . . . WHAT were you thinking with that opening act????? Isn't the opening act supposed to warm up the crowd for the main artist??? I'm sure this guy has fans of his own. . . but I just don't think that a Chickenfoot crowd is the proper venue for his type of music. I, along with the people I talked to around me, were NOT in the mood for a folksy guitar playing Bob Dylan wannabe. We were there to ROCK and ROLL!!!!
Again. . . no disrespect intended. I am just curious about your choice of opening act. Am I missing something??
thanks
Susan

Awww, the dude was sweatin' it out up there. lol! He was good if you were listening to him, but everyone in the venue wanted to rock. I would have loved if Davey Knowels would have followed Chickenfoot to Philly. I never even caught the guys name who opened. Everyone was just calling him Bob Dylan. lol!

Does someone down at the Indy Mini not like you?
What did they do to you to mess up your times this bad?
Well - it is good that you are still running.
Not sure what my next 5K will be - depends on the next few days.

GM (my initials btw!) - Toronto is about a 4-ish hour drive from here, give or take a little. I only go there for concerts if/when I have to. Saw 0ysterhead there, also Colonel Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.. both amazing!
I find Toronto just way too busy, rush-hour 24-7 it seems.
Ottawa is much, much sleepier. Quiet, government city.

Chickenfoot tour dates? Woohoo!
No west coast dates yet, but I think the plan was for 30-35 shows...right? There are only 20 listed so far. I hope the CA shows are later into September, as I'll be at Burning Man the first week of that month (the days before and just after the NV day that's posted).
Then again, I'm also seeing Dave Matthews Band twice and probably Porcupine Tree once later in September...so that might be a busy month for me.
Skippygirl - Argh...at one point I know that Dr. Horrible could be streamed internationally. Maybe they've restricted it now that it's available on DVD? Have you tried going back to the main page to see if there's another link? Oh well...
death cube k - "jeff B and ol pagey hate clappers .. wonder why?"
Because Clapton quit the Yardbirds, saying they were "too pop", and then went on to be poppier than anything from that band or Beck or Page? ;-)
hybes - Yeah, that was an awesome show. I was just getting into Dream Theater around that time (I saw John Petrucci on the G3 tour the previous year, but didn't know much DT).
I saw them in Concord (near SF). I was in the orchestra pit, stage left...in front of John but opposite Joe. I remember John had his row of amps facing the back of the stage.
King's X were great too...are you a fan by any chance? Check out their second album, Gretchen Goes To Nebraska.
Glitz Man - My birthday was good...I spent it at Disneyland (I mentioned that here, but maybe you missed the post).
I haven't been up to too much since then...I'm still looking for work and haven't really found anything. I'm not worried (yet) though.
Guitarvibes - Wouldn't Chickenfoot be cock rock?
Sorry, that was lame...

Anyone want some rarer Satch singles? Both cd and vinyl? A few tasty rarities have popped up on eBay...
Nice, getting some tour dates for USA part 1. You lucky buggers. They should rename USA to "the United States of Chickenfoot".

Hello everyone,
I put in 10 miles of running so that's 40 miles total in three days already. I also got my work schedule and it looks good for me. I have three in the daytime and one at night in which I play banquet bartender.
After waiting a month and a few phone calls, I finally got my race reults from the Indy-Mini Half-Marathon earlier today. They said the reason was my time chip did not work properly. Therefore, they asked for my time and I told them. As a result, my time was a bit faster than what I told them. Here's my result:
Time - 1 hour, 30 minutes, 1 second;
Overall Place - 585 out of 30,000+;
Age Division - 71 out of 794;
Sex Place (Of All Males) - 538 out of 14,394;
I am surprised and pleased with it and I'm planning on doing it again next year.
Zinc Master, Skippygirl, Elpp, and everyone : There it is my friends.
Gotta go now. See ya everyone.
