Artanis - I like the eerieness (surely that's not a real word...). I don't think they do it too much. Ticks And Leeches is an awesome song and it's not eerie. Although I guess that depends on your interpretation of eerie... I'm tempted to buy another album of theirs but I don't know which one... (?)

r6rocker - Yeah I know what you mean. That's why I use my debit card - so I kinda know where I stand... Cycling sorts are horrible things, aren't they? Funny how the people that usually wear them are the people that really shouldn't...

Clarky - Hey dude. Hope you and your family are well! Get my text the other day? It's getting to the point where I actually need to jam with you before I explode. I had such a wicked time last time, and I've improved a shit load since then so you better be ready...

I can't remember who asked about the October 4th show, but here's the description of it (it wasn't a G3 show):

04 Sat B.R. Cohn Winery Glen Ellen, CA US A special charity event for Valley of the Moon Children's Home where Joe plays along with the Doobie Brothers, the Turtles, and Switchblade Nixon. THIS IS NOT A G3 SHOW.

olly - it all starts becoming clearer when you actually apply it.... by creating music... writing can be as much a learning curve as sitting reading mountains of books...

r6r - not read that but I have read some very plausable alternate theories that are thought provoking and line up very nicely with many historical events... so much so that it's difficult to write off this stuff as being totally wrong... I am always open to new thinking provided that it can be backed up via other evidence.. and if this thinking is disproved at a later time by better theories than that's fine by me too.. it's all part of the greater learning process..
so, no, I'm not an athiest or 'anti-Catholic'.. I'm just open to ideas that appear to be of sound reason..

especially if it involves the space travelling race that genetically altered mankind around 50,000 years ago as described in the old testament

yoda - yes I got your text... I can't reply to it as I have a corporate mobile and in the interests of cutting costs, my phone has had texting removed - I can receive and read but not send them... I was going to call at an oppertune moment...
here's the score on my diary... right now I'm on standby to go to Holland for a week.. this may happen next week.. the week after I will be in Dublin... the week after.. I'm not sure... maybe Holland again... maybe not... this coming Saturday I'm going to JemFest to get wasted and perv over nude guitars [fancy going there????]... this coming Sunday is my birthday so I may as well stay wasted for the weekend... oh yes and then there is Holland and Dublin so make that wasted for a fortnight...
So, November is looking good..... if you're going to be playing scary do I have to train for this to keep up with the Jones's... lol lol... I'm looking forward to it.... e-mail me and I'll make the arrangements...

Balena... that's a cutie.. I'm glad you like it... read back through my last 10 or 20 posts and you'll see the story about it with Christian de Avila and I... the reason it's long is because I'm trying to deomstrate some of the possibilities to Chris over that kind of progression.. as you know, give me a progression and I'll play over that one thing all night long trying to find a new angle... but then that's the joy of improvisation... it's the journey..

962: I've got both those cd's from Andy Timmons. Ear-X tacy is awsome!!! I think there are maybe only two songs on it that I skip. Spoken/Unspoken has some good songs on it. The opener, and a vocal track I think it's called "Don't bring me Down" are my faves from that album.

Hey anybody like the "Meltdown" cd from Vinnie Moore???

Any Blues Saraceno fans here???

Metal Head03 - Which new CD?

Joe's "Essential JS" greatest hits album: Sometime in November.

G3 CD / DVD: Who knows? January...?

Joe's next solo album: April, May, June...?

Scrawn - I'm interested in the set list of the 10/4 show. Even though it wasn't a G3 show, Joe probably played the same songs that he will play on the G3 show. So if we know what the setlist was, we know what to look forward to when the tour starts.

Can anybody tell me anything useful about Robben Ford? I'm interested.........do I need to start an 'investment program'? hehe (a collection). All I've heard of him is the one track he did for Gregg and Matt Bissonette's second record.
How long will it take to produce the new G3 DVD? surely it's gonna take quite a while?

962 - If everyone hurried everything, the G3 CD and DVD could be released a month and a half to two months after they are recorded. That would mean that they would come out a week or two before Christmas. I don't see that happening...I'm sure Sony is concerned with having many other albums out by Christmas ($$$) before they even think about G3. So that moves the release date to January.

The situation I described above will only work if Joe, Steve, and Yngwie have next to no input on the mixing and production aspects of the CD and DVD. While it's possible for them to approve final mixes while on the road, I just don't see them sitting in a studio listening to and watching hours of tape on one of their days off.

So THAT would mean that work on the CD and DVD wouldn't even start until the end of November. It would then come out around February or March. If that happens, it'll push the release date of Joe's studio album back a few months so it won't be "competing" with the G3 stuff.

So yeah...in the end, I have no idea when the G3 things are going to be released. ;-)

962 - I have a feeling that this is not what you had in mind. I used to have a cd of his, Robben Ford and The Blue Line, it had a couple of pretty cool tunes on it. He gets played on the radio some here in the Pacific Northwest. I think that's about all I can offer.
