JS Clone 1: Wow, took the LoPro off and got the Edge on there....I remember reading tons of posts here awhile back with people stating the adv.&disadv. of both....Hope you get it the way you like it, and keep us posted about the string breakage....BTW, thank's for the link there, that explains my question!! I can see how they would scallop the old neck to keep up the sustain, and I can see how Iby would keep them scalloped on the "AANJ" to sell the guitar as easier to play....
Sounds like a gimmick to me, but the best thing about a 7V is that it probably has all the mods that you would ever want to make on a guitar, and it is all there, right out of the box!! I was thinking also, maybe that's why they made the JEM90 with unscalloped frets?!?!....Thanks again dude....
whojackafibby: I hear ya'!....No harm done :-)......I was laughing when I read "wonder if he will ever have a 2 page post." That may be coming soon ;-)
rusher2112: Love the name ;-)
Does anyone else have Richie Kotzen's "Fever Dream"?? Interesting that he used to play an Iby......GHS is next on my list thanks to Austin!!
Peace all, /\/\ike
Happy 200th jblaze1SATCHGUITARBODYGUARD!! Ya' hear that Mr. Luini ;-)

Matt King,
yeah, sorry, I used the term "altered chord" a bit more loosely than I probably should be allowed, heh heh... I just meant that the chord can be written as an altered chord (and I'm pretty sure I mentioned the "add 6" possibility, though I may not have).
also, sorry if I took your comment out of context, I just read that one comment which made it sound like a min6 chord with a minor 6th could ONLY be written as a maj7 chord, which you obviously already know (since you just wrote about the other possibilities and everything...)

/\/\ike: yeah I have Fever Dream. Good ol' Mike Varney!!! Richie used to almost strangle the notes out of his guitar back then (and wasn't he 19 at the time or something?!?!)! And y'know, he used 11s on that album! Man I don't ever wanna shake hands with that guy! It's almost like people used to describe Phil Collins when he started vocals for Genesis - they said he sounded more like Peter Gabriel than Peter Gabriel did (lol), I think in some ways Richie sounds on that album more like Steve Vai than Steve Vai did at the time!!!!

Hey Joe!!!!
Just heard the excerpts of SBM. I was shocked when i heard the Sleep Walk track. Only cause I really like that song
and thats a song I've always wanted record myself. I guess if you snooze you lose. Well, it just made me want to buy the CD more. Thanks for the great melodies.

Mr Nick - Aerosmith usually tours Europe (and the UK) extensively. They didn't go over there for the Just Push Play 2001 tour because the album didn't do that well overseas. If they were going to go, it would've been around November 2001...but that didn't happen (probably because of the terrorist attacks). The band is touring the US now in support of their new greatest hits album...I doubt they'll make it overseas. They're supposed to record a blues album in early 2003 and then tour the US again in March. So you might get a Europe tour in the summer of 2003.

Must be a busy weekend here!!
PhrygianDominant: I was thinking the same thing dude!! He sounds alot like VAI there, and some of VAI's recent stuff seems like it came from there, lol!! I think that was the album before he joined Poison (19ish)??....Amazing....Yeah, I would have to grip first to shake his hand and catch him off guard, lol ;-)....
Great to hear COE has got some new stuff out!! Keep it up MATT, and isn't Berklee around the corner?!?!
Peace all, /\/\ike

Yeah I hear ya Kinger, I'll just have to concentrate on Clarky's posts instead of the posts that explain why you can't use an (Fmaj7th augmented 9th over a double 5th flattened to a sharp w/2 scoops of rocky road ice cream) on a handmade Hawaiian Koa ukelele on a Sunday afternoon in the rain...lol...
Oh...Hi Joe :)
