SteveeT: I watched the Legato video.....the part on muting seems kind of silly. All you have to do is mute half of the strings with the palm, and the others can be muted with the underside of the left had fingers. The system of using some of the right hand fingers to mute is kind of unnecessarily complicated.....and it doesn't really work that well....well I guess except for Joe and EJ (uses similar system). I mean, think about it, when you are playing on the low E string(deepest sounding E), there are 5 other strings that need muting....and there aren't enough fingers left on the rght hand to mute those easily. What do you think? Do you mute more like me? Interesting topic huh?

ya drink water afterwards :D its best to get some headache tablets and water bring em to bed. then when u wake up take them drink the water then go back asleep, best way to do it me thinks. :D

as for the muting thing, instead of moving my fingers across the strings, i just mute them! it works grand for me, funy thing is when u play guitar u spend more time muting unwated noise than playing notes..

OCPS470/death cube k/Blue Moon.....I mute the same way you guy's do...using the non-legato palm of my hand to mute the strings near the bridge & the reach over with the non-legato hands to grab the neck near the locking nut. ( I agree, we spend alot of effort keeping those live strings quite..lol)

But, I'm about to adopt Joe's way & add a Reb Beach method of tapping which utilizes your tapping fingers to mute & tap the strings....check this out...gives you a very cool rolling, smooth, endless, un-interupted sound....

Reb Beach Tapping Hybrid...i think i've heard Joe utilize this too in the FIBD CD

Eating billionares on billionares bread is it,s my thin slice man it,s a little exspensive man it comes in the same package as regular bread man, like look,s the same as usual but isnt man it,s what like millionaires and billionares eat man it,s good all the hurt people that go to my food bank probably are showing there ignorrance by criticiseing to them selves about the thin slice except it cost me large man .Hey my 250 tnt is my my 2 stroke road legal 1975 can-am man well i had a 250 factory race bike engine in it man ,but i took it out and installed it in a customer,s man and kept his cuz my motorcyle club said they wanted the same numbers in it man from the same year and with these certain numbers someone tryed to fix it and installed a jap bike piston that wont work in it ,in it so i got a fatory oversize piston i just have to get the cylinder bored man look in my manual for clearance specification,s and put it on the road for nex t summer go write my motorcycle test man cuz like when you loose your licence man even though the car shit had nothing to do with the motorcyale shit they take it two everything you can drive man so like it,s right tore apart man might need some new rear turn signals which i cant get that kind aftre market anymore man ,they were mini stalks man might need a little help with some wiring which is pretty confusing cuz i put all aftermarket new acerbis italia plastics and light,s on from like the late 90,s man so it will be challenge but this thing is based on there street models race models that were used on the salt flats man it goes about 170 miles an hour and handles like a dream man later wolf2.

ok...now I can tell you about my weekend..

ok... first... Theres this girl that my dad dated a while ago...well she is like...the closest thing to a mother I have... She is awsome. Well.... she came over this weekend (she bought me my LORD OF THE PEDAL DANCE shoes) and well...she decided that my dad has christmas early this year..haha...sooooo she went and spent almost 500$ on him...... well..................kinda all of us. haha... But most of the stuff we bought was for his office.

It might not sound like much fun...but it was.... i finaly had a "mother daughter day"...ya know? Is that whats missing from my life...other than my sister? I think it is..... im missing my motherly figure in the house....

I miss having Bobbie (thats this girls name) around. The sad thing is.... she might have (im gonna spell it wrong) curferical cancer..... ya....FAR from how its supossed to be spelled. haha.... cerverical?!?!....I dont know....

she is so fun... I miss her.

Stevee/OCPS/Cube/Blue Moon - is Joe intentionally recommending we do that? I think that was just an incidental that came out of the Total Guitar sessions (used to work for the company that made TG and I mentioned it at the time... it was just something interesting they noticed).

I feel we all (inc JS) pretty much use the palm mute bridge technique with variation.

I have noticed that If I'm playing someting delicate like Always for example, that I kill out certain strings/noise with finger tips though... but I didn't set out to do it like that : )

That's my 3p worth

editors note - I get older, my spelling goes out the window

CRO NUMBER 9: Hi there! Long time no speak... Your website looks great! Fantastic design. By the way, do you have a MySpace page too? Oh and you are a Paulo Coelho fan too- I love his books, have read most of them:)

SteveeT- Thanks. Not sure if I posted it on here already but we also bought a new practice amp- great little amp: Epiphone Valve Junior 5W Combo. Matt LOVES it...

AussieRGMan... so sorry :( Never feel stupid posting here though whatever you do- plenty of great people here to talk to when you feel like it.

SupaaDave- Ouch! That sounds horrible... can't offer any advice though- apart from maybe getting a hand massage, when I did a Piano exam once I booked one just before and it helped enormously. Don't suppose it will help after the event but you never know!

JOE!! Wow, posting again:) Any news yet on when the UK G3 tour will be?
