I was playing five-a-side footbal with the singer from my band and a bunch of other mates last night, and Jamie somehow ended up tearing two ligaments in his ankle!!! Shit... lol. So he's out of action for six weeks now, which further inhibits the resurgence of RECOIL!!! I'm sure we're a cursed band... lmao
Suzie - Thanks for those links - very helpful indeed!!!

Nintendo names new video game console
'Revolution' becomes 'Wii'
LOS ANGELES - Nintendo Co. Ltd on Thursday said it has named its new video game console “Wii, which it said is pronounced “we” to emphasize that the console is for everyone.
The console up until now has been known by its code-name ”Revolution.”
“While the code-name Revolution expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer,” said spokeswoman Perrin Kaplan.
Nintendo, best known for its Game Boy portable video players, aims to gain share in the $25 billion global video game market now dominated by Sony Corp.
Microsoft Corp. launched its next-generation Xbox 360 console late last year and Sony’s new PlayStation 3 is due in November. Wii also is expected to hit store shelves later this year.
While the new consoles from Microsoft and Sony boast more power and high-definition graphics, Nintendo’s goal is to roll out a machine that appeals to a broader audience than the young males who make up the traditional console gaming market.
A key feature of the Wii is its one-handed controller that looks like a television remote control and uses motion-detection sensors that allow players to control the game by wielding it like a sword, waving it like a conductor’s baton, or swinging it like a baseball bat.

To soften the blow of my continued unemployment my new graphics card and extra memory arrived today.
I finally got to play Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion and its awesome.
I'm going to another recruitment agency next week that deals in industrial work...and I've been told its not as exclusive in who it hires. But we'll see.

Hey Joe, it's Sebastian from Rose and MLK. I love the new album! They've been playing it in SF on the Bone quite a bit--'specially the tile track.
I thought you and others here might be interested in this news story I saw below. It would be cool if you participated in the music!:
Quentin Tarantino will direct a forthcoming biopic about Jimi Hendrix, according to reports.
The infamous filmmaker is said to have agreed to shoot the film, which is thought to have been in production for some months.
Tarantino will collaborate with Leon Hendrix, Jimi's brother, on the movie, and will be given full access to his name, likeness, and archive interview footage for the project.
Shooting is expected to begin later this year, with the movie scheduled to take in numerous cities that played host to the life of Hendrix, including Seattle, New York, Toronto, and London.
Take care,
Sebastian

srry, that tab didn't work out to well but it 3 on the A string, then 5 on the D string then back to 3 on the a string, this pattern goes to 2 on the A string, then 5 on the D-string and back to 2 on the a string, this pattern continues with open A, then it goes 5(d-string) 7(d-string) 5(d-string), srry if that's confusing

Press Release. Montreal, April 26.
In recognition of World Intellectual Property Day, Canada’s leading musicians, songwriters, and producers are today announcing the creation of A New Voice: The Canadian Music Creators Coalition. The CMCC will ensure that lobbyists for major record labels and music publishers are not the only voices heard in debates about Canada’s copyright laws and other key cultural policy issues.
Together, coalition members have won dozens of Juno and Grammy awards, and have sold tens of millions of albums worldwide. The CMCC includes some of the most recognizable names in Canadian music, such as Barenaked Ladies, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sum 41, Stars, Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace), Dave Bidini (Rheostatics), Billy Talent, John K. Samson (Weakerthans), Broken Social Scene, Sloan, Andrew Cash and Bob Wiseman (Co-founder Blue Rodeo).
Multinational record labels are vocal in their desire for changes to copyright laws that would facilitate lawsuits against our fans and increase their control over the enjoyment of music. To our alarm, the labels advance these demands not merely on their own behalf, but in our names as necessary for the well-being of individual Canadian musicians in the digital age. Today the people who actually create Canadian music are speaking out for themselves.
The CMCC is united under three key principles:
Suing Our Fans is Destructive and Hypocritical Artists do not want to sue music fans. The labels have been suing our fans against artists’ will, and laws enabling these suits cannot be justified in artists’ names
Digital Locks are Risky and Counterproductive Artists do not support using digital locks to increase the labels’ control over the distribution, use and enjoyment of music or laws that prohibit circumvention of such technological measures. Consumers should be able to transfer the music they buy to other formats under a right of fair use, without having to pay twice.
Cultural Policy Should Support Actual Canadian Artists The vast majority of new Canadian music is not promoted by major labels, which focus mostly on foreign artists. The government should use other policy tools to support actual Canadian artists and a thriving musical and cultural scene.
