I've at last got off my rear and decided to do a track for the T2J CD (with some convincing from Clarky - cheers mate). Trutina: Is it too late for me to contribute to the CD??? I hope not as I've spent the last 2 days doing a backing track for it!!!

jsclone1 You're right about the guitar hitting you on the head thing. Now if one of those Universes with the swirly paint job hit me on the head while walking on the street, closely followed by a massive Marshall 4x12 and a hyawge battery pack, I wouldn't want to be stuck for a pick. The three knocks on the head may also send me into the sort of mental haze in which people are most creative and which most musicians use drugs to induce upon themselves.

phrydom Your friend's grandmother was taught by Holst? That is SERIOUSLY COOL!!! Who is tone deaf, your friend or the grandmother? Talking of opinions, I still refuse to accept that Busted or Blazin' Squad or any of those other pieces of insult to music are anywhere near comparable to Joe. If that was the case, I could say that there's no such thing as one musician being better than another, and that I needn't practise anymore, because in my opinion, I was the best guitarist in the world, and also, I wouldn't actually get better by practising, because everyone was equal.

CLARKY - With your completely irresponsible attitude to work it's a good job you've got the guitar playing to fall back on - i bet you wouldn't f**k yourself up before a gig would you ;-) Somethings in life HAVE to be taken seriously - LOL

MOWLIE - I think that the closing date for the CD is 31 March.

DCK - C'mon man Metallica have done some great songs............ Breadfan....oh no that was a Budgie cover..........................Am I Evil..............what a clas.......... oh no that was Diamondhead...........................ah but who could forget Last Caress............................ man that roc........ nope that was the misfits.......................awwwwwww okay you got me. lol Seriously though KH don't bring a lot to Metallica, JH is the man, even Lars can't play his studio drum tracks live. I'm not interested in whose better, MOP and AJFA were a couple of great albums but the solos certainly don't stand out. As for JOE and the lessons, well, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it swim............ or something like that!

Hey... I'm from Argentina, and it seems I won't be there for the show on April 1st.... it's unbelievable but the tickets were sold out in the first days of March! Is there no chance an additional show will be added? This time I wanted to be there on the first row and I got the money and all (took me a while since things are really bad here these days). I really REALLY don't wanna miss it... there's GOT to be more shows!

Listening to DT, LSFNY, just coming to the end of SFAM, I'm liking it more all the time. The story: After reading again the lyrics on the DT site, I reckon that Nicholas goes back into a past life in regression, and sees the murder of Victoria, and it's set up so it looks like Julian (the sleeper) did it and then comitted suicide, but it was actually Senator whatshisname (the miracle) who murdered both of them, because he loved Victoria but she left him for Julian. One thing I don't get is how exactly Nicholas is linked to it all. I mean, whs he Julian in his past life, or what?

That must have been a truly amazing show. I wish I'd been there. Oh well. I'm really excited! It's only 5 days until Eric Clapton plays at my school, and I'm getting in for free!! Whoopeeeeeeeeee!!

One last thing: Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the Pull Me Under video?

EDIT - Another thing, can anyone who went to the show or who has the dvd tell me, I've seen the picture on the cd cover of the Hypnotherapist, but how long is he on stage for? Do they have people acting as Nicholas etc? Doed JLB do that? I mean, what theatricals are there exactly to go with the story?

My cd's now moved on to Metropolis Part 1. I've had this for a while, but only just realised, like how cool is this, when writing the showlist did they/Portnoy say "Hey why don't we/I just perform everything we've ever done which has "Metropolis" somewhere in the title?".

Whoever has the DVD, do they cut the third verse of Just Let Me Breathe off in that as well?

JS Clone 1: You ain't kidding man, they just take off don't they? Especially if you are trying to take a drink of something every once in a while. You play for a bit, reach over for a coke and Zoom! Gone. Off to never never land. I think they meet up with the missing socks from my dryer and swap war stories or something.

greg m..the dvd..they miss out from metropolis part 1 to jordans solo. so we dont get to see metropolis aprt 1 live :(

and i have no idea on the storyline..all i know is nicholas goes back in time to witness a murder. other than that, i know buger all

pull me under video...get it from anywhere that d/ls videos, kazaa for example. i think the hypnotherpist is on stage all the time but the lighjts come onto him when he is needed. and the acting is done on a video, by other actors. get the dvd, then you'll find out the answers.

greg m - get the dvd, it's great!

nicholas is played by an actor on stage, Kent Broadhurst, and he pops up three times I think, during the whole thing. There's also video footage of these events, like the murder scene, and the affair and everything. the dvd goes between the video footage, and live footage, and both at some points.

Nicholas is Victoria's reincarnation, and the hypnotherapist is the miracle's reincarnation, hence him killing nicholas at the very end (to stop the truth about his former life being found out. It has all about htis on the dvd which again, i recommend.

let me breathe isn't on the dvd.

The metropolis thing - well they wrote part 1 without ever meaning to do part 2. but then they decided to, and some of the themes are based on part 1 themes.

jelly man So Nicholas is Victoria's reincarnation? Cool, I now understand the story at last! The Hypnotherapist kills Nicholas at the end? Hey, I didn't know that before. So that's what the screaming is I hear at the end of Finally Free, is it? Riiight.

trutina I thought the picks went out to pubs with all my old biros. BTW I've just bought Blow by Blow.
