Dear Joe I have written to you a couple of times, so I hope I am not annoying you by asking or writting too much! My father and I seen you this year at Melbourne, in the Forum. You were fantastic and full-on! My father is 60 and just loves your music as much as I do Joe. I have been trying my hardest to improve my self over the last year, and have started to study at the NMIT (North Melbourne Institute of Technology) in Australia. I have been playing now for 16 yrs and had mostly been playing rock stuff, I just love the music and the melodies from the old school stuff like; Judas Preist and Iron Maiden. But lately since being in the institute of Technology I have been getting into a bit of jazz, which is required in my course and another avenue I would like to explore into to expand my vocabulary in music. I would just love and appreciate a response on how to improve myself and just a few things you would suggest in my situation that would help me to progress futher in my studies a learning.

having been a Vai fan for so long.. and to finally meet him..

Cuth / SteveeT - thanks guys....

my birthday is on Oct 12....

I think that Oct 12 is also that date that the first Englishman lands on the moon - not sure about the year though..

however.. today 21st Oct 2005 marks 200 years to the day that Admiral Nelson was killed at the battle of Trafalgar [off the SW Spanish coast i the Atlantic] Lord Nelson was among the greatest military minds in the history of naval warfare

Clarky's DoB

so to celebrate, I think it's my turn to ask the greatest and most common question in T2J.
the most significant question for all of us that strive to achieve our absolute best both as guitarists and as human beings..

Joe, what settings to you use on your DS1?

I offer you a quote from Shakespeare

'To thine own self be true'

Your family cannot accept this woman if they do not know her, IMHO you owe it to yourself to go for it with your lady and if your family loves you they will be happy for you sooner or later.

If love and happiness has come your way you should hold it and nurture it.

Good luck Jason and keep rocking.

PS Did you notice that England won the ashes. LOL

Steve.

Def Leppard's Rock of Ages: The DVD Collection will hit stores on Nov. 15.

The release, which serves as a companion to the band's two-CD compilation that came out in May, will offer music videos for classic hits like "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Foolin'" and "Love Bites," among several other tunes. It will also boast a number of bonus features, including rehearsal footage, audio commentary and the previously unavailable clip for "Now."

Hi Joe!
I am only a newbie with the guitar, so my question may seem silly to you...but I am a bit confused with this, so I thought I'd rather ask the maestro abt it -
Regarding guitars, I've heard the classifications "accoustic", "spanish", "hawaiian", "classic". And although I've got a vague idea abt what an accoustic is (I play an f-hole steel string, that is accoustic, isn't it?), I am confused about these terms. Could u help me out?
One more question - why do guitarists always play electric guitars with a mild distortion? I mean, no doubt it sounds rocking, but have u considered playing an accoustic, or maybe an electric guitar using the clean tones?
I'll be more than happy if u reply.
Best wishes and an advanced Merry Christmas, Debadeep.

Good Morning Satchland.......How are we today?

Aussie...... Go for it. No one knows one self better then ones self. Where the f..... did that come from?....LOL....Seriously. You only know how you feel and if you really love this women on you're both on the same page. Then forget about what your family might think. I know you want there support but if this is right for you. You shouldn't give it up for them. That's not fair to you. It seems love is kinda hard to find these days. I wouldn't pass it up. I'm happy for you.

Clarky...... Happy belated birthday. Take care.

Mari...... I'm glad you're having a great time in the UK. That has to be awesome for you. It's cool Vai single you out and gave you picks. I think that was huge of you to give the picks away. You're always thoughtful and caring. Return save and give us some more stories on your tour. God bless. Hugs to you.

Angelina..... Thanks. I'm so happy for the both of you. Parenting has been very rewarding for Cindy and I. I wish you all the best.

Cuth....I finally got to read your Camel Toad link. That's funny stuff. Absolutley halarious.

Have a Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Spizazz...... Glad you enjoyed the link. Cliff Engel is a great bassist.
