Hey guys, long time no say.

Things are going crazy mad for me. Just got the server back up after a fair downtime due to ISP issues.

Business going incredible, possible merger talks, winning big government deals. Working on heaps of fun apps, make sure you download "karenji" for your iPhone or iPad, better than words with friends.

Just sprang for my Brisbane g3 ticket, ouch that was expensive! But how can you put a price on these three brilliant musicians right? Gonna be a great night.

Not earning a lot right now as all money is going in to the business. Short term pain, long term gain. Gotta work out if I can get to adelaide, Sydney, canberra or Perth g3. Hopefully a big deal will hit shortly and I can decide....

Hope it's all going well. Chat again soon.

Lately I have been going on a huge spending spree, I don't wanna go over $500 right now, that may even be a bit much, maybe that budget will increase to $800 by the end of the year, I don't know.

going from a $400 guitar to an $1100 ($1900) guitar is an enormous step. So from a $200 amp to a $500 amp is reasonable.

The MA will probably have to wait a while, but the class 5 might work perfectly. It doesn't have to be a Marshall, I just want one because its one of the highest quality amps around. I also wouldn't mind a Vox.

My JS1000 is at guitar center until Sunday, I am switching the bridge pickup for the Mo'Joe. I hope that will help a bit. When I go back to get it I will test out the class 5, I think I saw one there today.

I would recommend something like the DSL50 as well, or maybe a clean fender tube amp like a hot rod deluxe, and just add a good distortion pedal like an MI audio Crunch Box, or a Suhr Riot.

I use that for my band rehearsals when I don't feel like hauling around my main rig. I never use the built in distortion on that amp because it's unusable, but the clean channel in conjunction with a good gain pedal is excellent.

Hello Everybody!

Hope everyone is doing well here. A lot of ups and downs here since my last post. I hired a coach/trainer for my running up until March 2012, whom has put together a running schedule for me for the next four months. He's a professional runner and has won numerous marathons across the U.S. Many of my running buddies were surprised and glad that I am now training under a pro. If anyone is interested on who he is, just ask. As for the race season, The Fort Wayne Track Club finished up a couple weeks ago and I found out that I won my age group again (5 out of the last 6 years since I first started). I will have one more race coming up on December 17th, The Huff 50K (an Ultra-Marathon). I did it the last 2 years, but this time, according from my coach, I will not be running the whole thing, due to the training schedule he put together. Instead, I'll be doing the 3-person relay, which I'll be running 1st leg. The FWTC Banquet will be in late January with Shalane Flanagan as the guest speaker. How cool is that!?

Work is coming along well, especially in the restaurant, making the money. It's helping me get the bills paid, and get some Christmas shopping done. However, I had to spend a lot on my car though, because I encountered some problems with it. The car now has a new battery, alternator, front serpentine belt, power steering pulley, new spark plugs, plus the front rotors are turned to. All the parts plus labor costed me quite a bit, but luckily it's all fixed and ready to go.

Family is well, I got to go to Michigan on Thanksgiving to be with my Dad's side of the family. We got to go to Meadowbrook Mansion: Home of John Dodge, which was amazing. It was great to meet up with everyone, and especially playing the game Pepper (AKA Double Euchre); I'm getting a little better at it.

Joe, hope things are going well for you and with Chickenfoot. Hopefully I'll be able to see you in person, or perform again soon.

Too many names to write down so I'll just say to everyone here on T2J - Holla! Hope everyone has a safe Holiday season. Talk with y'all later.

Grant

JemJVM - I had the XXX for a while. No matter what I did I could not get that thing to cut through in a band situation. There are no mid. The 5150/6505 I think are a bit better but I haven't played them. Plus I tend to lean toward the Mesa tone. Always seems a bit fatter to me.

Question: about 4 years ago I played a JS-1000 and to this day it was the easiest guitar I ever played. It was new for $869. I let it set 4 about 10 months and when I decided to buy GONE. I have played at least 20 JS-1000 and 1200 and none come close to the ease of this one guitar. Then I found out from salesman (thanking all models are the same) if you find a guitar you lke you buy that one. I think the neck had bigger frets, I don't know but was wondering was older 1000 different then the newer ones? I learned my lesson, you snooze you loose!! That is why I bought a brand new JSX head for 1/2 price $697 then few weeks ago bought another, same price. I think best sounding amp I have ever heard. Everyone have a nice day and keep on playing.
