Sorry for double post, but you have to see this vid of Hendrix on the Lulu show in 1969. It's the BBC, and it's quite famous...here it is. enjoy! =D

Igneousiceman - Good post. It's always great to watch a little Hendrix. He's quite amazing. I wonder what in the world ever made him pick up a guitar and think ya know, this will be fun to play upside down and backwards. Wish he hadn't gone so early on us. He certainly had much more to give to the music world.

You are on top of the world, doncha ?
Last time I met Joe it was also an incredible day for me.
And If he tells you "I finally got to meet you" it's something overwhelming and unbelievable. I'm still recovering from that.
It seems the setlist hasn't changed that much from that of the previous legs. Though I'm happy "Out of the sunrise" was not removed of my gig.

Hi everyone...I did a ton of driving this weekend, but I had a great time. I didn't see anyone mention anything about Sigur Ros, so maybe there aren't any other fans here...? Their show was awesome...it was threatening to rain all night, but most of it held off until the band's final song. And the rain started at such a perfect moment within the song, it was almost like it was part of the light/video show. Very cool. If you don't know anything about this band, go look 'em up...

The Ego - Hi...welcome! Tell us a bit about yourself...
Cappy Steve - Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law...let us know if there's anything we can do here.
lorenzo001 - That's a very cool cover of Oh Well. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd version of that is one of the first songs I learned to play on bass... There's a great riff there...
cheese101 - Awesome...thanks for the Bone videos. :-)
Guitarman77897 - I changed my name, but I'll only keep it this way for a month or so. I want my Out Of The Sunrise!

"Do the stu can you repost that one where you gave out the setlist for the chicago sho plz. "

Hmmm? I've made a few posts recently with a guess on what the setlist probably is, based on past reviews. Is that what you're talking about?

...Austin...

Hello to Joe and everyone,

js1200js1000: That must have been a badass/awesome Joe concert. Glad to hear that you had a great time. I was planning on trying to get tickets to see Joe in Cleveland this Friday, but I can't because of work and upcoming running races this October. Even my friend can't go because of work as well.

Well, I finally got both of those half-marathons out of the way. I was happy with both of them because I placed in the top 20 (overall) in each of them. Now I have to be ready for a competitive 5-Mile & 10K Race.

I DID IT!!!!! I FINALLY WILL HAVE ALL OF JOE'S CDS!! I am now waiting for Additional Creations to arrive in my mail sometime this week. Does anybody know if Joe will do another CD after his tours?

Joe, keep up all the good work and successes.

js1200js1000, again, glad to hear that the concert was awesome.

Gotta run, got some hospitality business to get done with.

I told my bro, who has lived in Calgary for many years, to first listen to some Joe and then to get off his ass and support Joe in concert.... This is what he had to say:

"Great show last night in Calgary by Joe Satriani!!He played with backup Mountain at the Jack Singer concert hall a place well know for its acoustic excellence. At times you could close your eyes as if you were playing his tracks back on your home system at max volume, hard to tell the difference. His live performance from the songs I know were crisp and clean very well done in a live atmosphere. Remember when I said Mike do you have anything new I can listen to eh !! The very best live show I have ever been to !! Say hello to everyone Mike for me please !!

Thanks man "

another convert I'd say......

Hey everyone :) I interviewed Joe a little while ago for Mixdown magazine here in Australia. The word limit was 1,000 but the interview was about 3,000 words long, so I've posted the whole thing on my guitar blog.

Joe has some very interesting things to say about recording the Musterion CD and designing the Satchurator. Hope you enjoy the interview.

Saw the Edmonton show last night. Worth waiting 18 years for!

Club Joe was OK - would have been incredible but the venue was too big so we couldn't hear 95% of what Joe was saying. Meeting the man was great, though! He signed my white JS1 and told me that the wood is different in these ogriginal guitars; these have Japanese basswood while the later models have basswood sourced from anywhere.

The show was phenominal! I was 2 meters from Joe for the whole concert; it was like he came to my house and was playing just for me. The set list was a good mix of old and new. I've been a fan for 20 years and I like his new stuff the best! The performance was just incredible - Joe is the Yoda of the electric guitar.

Got some great pix of his gear including the pedals. He played the entire show through the Satchurator pedal and the clean channel on the JSX. There were two new VOX pedals on the board: a prototype WAH still looking very prototypish, and a green pedal that looks ready for production. The green one is called Time Machine and looks like a green version of the Satchurator with 4 chickenhead knobs. One knob is a multifunction control; my guess is it is a delay of some kind possibly with a reverse mode. He still had the DD3 on his board, and the Time Machine was in the effects loop just before the DD3. He also had a ZVEX Ringtone, which I think he used on the Ghost song.

Thanks to Joe for coming back to Edmonton!

Kilgelec - Well I would highly recommend the Sennheiser HD280 Pro. They retail for about 99 dollars. Perhaps a little better deal on Ebay. They are large, that's why I would only recommend them for around the house. They will require a good 100 hours of burn in time before they really cut loose, but they are AWESOME right out of the box. They are very detailed on the highs and mids. The bass isn't extremely tight. It's kind of boomy. I have listened to a lot of headphones and for under a hundred bucks...they are easily the best. If you don't like that circumaural type headphone though Sennheiser makes another good can. The PX100 for around 50 dollars is pretty sweet. They don't go completely around the ear so you're not quite as immersed. But they do deliver a very good sound. Oh, and the 280 Pro's will block out all noise even when listening to your music at a low volume.

Anyway, those are a couple of starting points.

???Time Machine Pedal ??? awesome , so this thing has gotta have at least two separate delays in it if not three seeing as Joe likes to play with two different delay lengths. Delay has got to be my favorite effect of all time.
