what's going on today guys

I'm really jealous about all the fans that attended the show in San Diego and got a replay of the 1st G3 jam. JS, SV, and EJ doing 2 of my favorites Red House, and Going Down! I play Going Down every time I practice to warm up. I've tried playing it at warm up in church but some people thought it not appropriate so I retitled it Going Up! I say this alot when holding an elevator for somebody.

You ripping lead guitarists out there 962, Death Cube, Cosmic Ape, 5150_Alien, etc. Speaking of the song Going Down. All of you guys have heard this song off the SRV box set w/dvd, with SRV dualing Jeff Beck right? Now this is a purely subjective question to you guys, as I am a bassist and a mere pond on this site. Who do you favor and why. Maybe you have no favorite. Thats cool. I cant say I have an absolute standout off the !st G3 jam. All 3 were awesome. zenfish..hey bro..jordan is on the mend but the flu would take some time before it leaves him completely...the doctor says that it would be another 3/4 days before he gets back to his normal self again......but thank god ,we dont have to stay up the whole night anymore coz after he has had his dinner,we give him the normal dose of medication and since we have to give him three types of medicines now.it takes its toll on him and falls asleep soon after....except when the cough gets really rough.....do pray for him ...please....peace and god bless...

Kayla, that'd be "torturing" ;-) "torchering" implies something to do with hand-held flaming light-sources. hehe. I still don't understand how you've managed not to get someone to give you a ride or the money for a fare to go see Joe....

As for amps, I got the VL100 head with the 4x12 bottom cab. It sounds very nice, I have it set for a pretty bluesy tone, quite Andy Timmons as a basic tone framework, but it's versatile enough to sound quite different if I want it to. It's an incredibly warm sounding amp, and it's widely controllable.....it really responds in subtle changes to your playing and your guitars' tone/volume settings.

I was loaned a DVD of his....umm, Live At El Macambo or whatever it's called; it was good but at the end of it I couldn't remember much from half of the songs 'cause they sounded so the same, which was disappointing. So despite having hardly heard any Jeff Beck and not having seen the DVD we're talking about, I'd guess that Beck would probably be my choice!

All are great guitars, look fantastic, play great, are well built and very easy to get on with. The GSA60 is further down the chain from the SA120 and even that is ok (I have one and one of my students does too).
