*novjul bows low, kneels humbly before assembled fans*

...it seems i hit a nerve...

i made a mistake

even though i'm still curious what's bugging mckenna, i dint approach this the right way

my bad, straight up

it was not my intention to be a divisive force on this, joe's message board

i'm sure joe wants his fans to get along and not fight here on t2j

it's not worth it, and it's disrespectful to joe

if i've ever offended anyone here -- now or in the past -- please believe me when i say: i am truly sorry

...please forgive me...

it's true i've been gone awhile, but ~ with utmost respect ~ i'm not a newbie ~ i've been posting on t2j for over ten years

others have been here longer than me (roo) but it's not important how long or how continuously fans posts here

the important thing is to respect the artist who provides this space, and by extension all assembled fans of the artist, whether the post is your first or your umpteenth-thousandth

this i know: words spoken in haste can never truly be recalled

at this point i've done what i can to mend fences

i understand everyone will make their choices and my earnest yet potentilly futile efforts in the end are nothing but a breath of fine white sand on the whisper of the breeze

best thing is to learn, and move on

Keniko: Certainly did, and was pleased to hear you did a good version of Jailbreak (as Lizzy are probably my fav 'band') Talented group of fellas you lot!! Keep up the good work...

Hey joe i just wanna say that you've been a huge influence on me and my guitar playing. Raspberry jam delta v has some of the best phrasing i've ever heard by the way!

I was listening to your solo on John 5's album the other day (The werewolf of westeria) and am now really hoping some day you create a metal instrumental track, or even better an album!. That solo was crazy!

all the best

good morning y'all its been about 4 years since my last message ,,, thats alot of reading to catch upon couldnt remember my old nick name so now im jeg1000 got sick of the computer so i boxed it up and put it away but now that i have a new business i need it . seems like not a whole lot has changed here, still see some familiar names, now with 1000's of posts under thier belts . to bad about the infringment issue , things like that disrupt your everyday life ,and i hope that both parties come to an agreement soon, legal issues such as this tend to drag on and we dont want joes creative juices to be interupted since we all wonder what amazing things joe will do next with his guitar. i absolutely love his latest music , every time i hear something new from joe im blown away. he is such a an awesome composer. later.

Pleased to hear about the enemy thing, wish i could go back and wipe away things i have put in print.

Anyway more coldpay satch stuff..Chris Martin says of joe he's amazing on NME radio. The replay is at bottom of page and is 6min 20sec in.

He doesn't reject the idea of sitting round a table at the end. I felt from his voice it's a possibility.

I see the trolls have invaded - what's the normal deal here - are we going to ignore, or should we give both barrels.... or maybe get Yoda Master Luini to kill 'em off?

All - I have some coldplay related stuff to post, but this one will be long enough so I'll get to that some other time.....

NJBeast / Maritime / Igneous - the whole Coldplay gig thing is tempting, but wouldn't we be lowering ourselves? I have tickets... well had tickets...well, more on that in a seperate coldplay post

wasp2020 - thanks for that info (ref if I could fly - "the entire first half melody sections were all first-take"), cool!

skippygirl - thank you very much for the nice comments on youtube. Appreciate it. LOL about my fingers. I wouldn't worry too much about music theory. Too much knowledge is dangerous, just look what Stevey and Joseph do with it ha ha. Paul Gilbert (I think) didn't know much theory when he started and he does ok : ) I think with all the stuff you can watch and will be reading in your books you'll get the hang of it. TAB might be your saviour, I think of it as 'paint by numbers' for guitar. I owe you an emither I think so I'll try and get onto that.

Maritime - I think wolfy maybe uses the bowie method of writing everything out, then cutting it all up, spilling it on the floor and putting it back together? Alternatively you could try this - just put in your T2J post for the day, et voila, no one knows what you're on about except cop chick

Scrambler Thingy

Oh, and it's 32F here or at least it was - yuk!

Cheese - thanks for the email, I will get back to you. I'm such an old man at the minute (asleep by about 8.30/9 every evening) that my computer time is falling short. Did you sort an ipod/Mp3 etc? Austins recommendation is a good piece of kit. I was actually surprised about Joe's comment at writing If I Could Fly for Rubina in as much as it doesn't strike me as a typical love song, but it's still beautiful and as always from the heart. Go Joe! Oh, and regarding the Maching Gun video.... remember I said Joe didn't like playing Hendrix stuff live, the topic at the time was machine gun so I'm thinking perhaps my poor jetstuffed mind tranlated it to all hendrix tracks where actually he said he didn't feel comfortable playing machine gun in front of anyone (for a reason I really can't remember)... doh

Um - Al has a sweaty friend, and an italian friend AND cop chick? I really did leave too early. Tell us all more.... please : )

Blue Moon - seriously, you already posted cop chick? Dunno how I missed that... you're winding us all up surely? Come on post it.... some of us missed out!! Oh dear, Enya, really?

Cappy Steve - nice amsterdam story. That's a great one!

Do The Stu - that Time Machine pedal caption - just too funny! Regarding Coldplay, I started looking for the sheet music online for both tracks, figured it must be out there somewhere but couldn't find it. Just wanted to look at Joe's melody line and their vocal line to see how it looks on paper. I think that might shut a few people up. Like you I'd be more than happy to see this ruled in favour of Joe... and I can't think of anyone better to explain something about music to either a knowledgeable musician or someone with no musical knowledge

Roo - I won't be signing up for chickenfoot (sorry). I'd sign up for "We don't borrow, never have borrowed and will not borrow other people's songs" or something along those lines.. ha ha. Apart from the Joe EP, what are some of your favourite rarities that you own?

Igneousiceman - after meeting Joe courtesy of the London transport system, bumping into Patrick McGoohan wasn't as exciting. Nothing against Patrick of course. Mind fudge - name for a new Joe album or band LOL. I guess I didn't want to post the word f*** : ) You know, not in front of the kids. Forgot it was ROC at wembley today... wonder if Chris Hoy (on bike) beat Lewis (in a car).... have to google that in a bit. Hope lewis gets BBC sports thing

Glitzman - it's freezing cold last couple of days... and where I am it rained big time and flooded out lots of places. Trying to get to town was mega entertaining by car. So, if you're going to visit (ever) I'd save it until we're (allegedly) having a summer. Pathetically our summer wasn't even as nice as four days in San Francisco in very late autumn. Go figure.

Satriella - you is rated! Nice stuff, well done

Slansh - bit late but happy birthday to your little one. I read something about Asthma, poor chap hasn't had that diagnosed at such a young age has he?

Cube - eventide do pedals? Because of the 5000 Harmonizer (?) that I learned of through Joe & Steve's earlier work I thought they only did expensive rack mount gear?

Michelle - is that a new series of celeb rehab? I've seen one series here, very entertaining.

GG2 - sorry to hear about your Steve. Hope they stop for a while soon, must be tough

Hugsamuchilus - all good thanks, ish.... how's things with you?

Right, must go do some boring old work before work tomorrow... have a good evening or day y'all and more postings from me soon (sorry)... but also some youtoob funnies to lighten the mood

QuentinGaraque - I doubt you'll be back here, but... You have a gripe with Joe's argument...but why are you mad at him when all he's trying to defend are the rights he has under U.S. copyright law?

I don't see how anyone can support the "paying homage to your heroes" argument when Coldplay has openly mocked Satch in the past at least twice that I know of (in a 2002 interview and in a performance video recorded about three weeks before the lawsuit). From what I hear, they're continuing to make comments at their shows.

To me, it sounds like Coldplay has a different perception of themselves and it finally caught up with the band.

novjul - It's nice to have you back here...I hope you stick around. Also, like most of us, Al is slightly crazy...but I doubt you seriously offended him.
jeg1000 - Welcome (back)! What was your old username here?
Joe Satrini - Al gave me a cop chick trading card (like a baseball card, but all about her)...maybe if he doesn't post anything I'll post a picture of that one. I guess they make those to hand out to little kids, but I wonder if there are any twisted criminals out there who are trying to collect the whole set. ;-)

I look forward to your Coldplay post, whenever you get around to it. Did you blow off the gig because of the thing with Satch?

Joe Satrini: Una Noche, Musty Professor (1,2 and 3), my Donnie! :) There's a few cool things. Actually the Always with me Jam at Allans on the Curly Joe Satarini CD is awesome, I was there and it was such a cool and very cosy jam, they played the one (loooooong) version of always to a packed guitar shop (probably 80 people?) with us all sitting on the carpet.

Cotton Club, not just the recording, but the format of the pack and the history of how and where I found it.

Some more little things in there. I enjoy collecting them for the packaging as well, the long box format surfing is pretty cool, the print on the CD is different also. And I think the Surfing/Joe double sided picture vinyl is very cool. Joe had a laugh signing that one.

i have had enough of the coldplay stuff aswell, its getting to be like beating a deadhorse. some of the things some people have said that is wrong and shows their limited knowledge of music is that there are only so many variations of chord progressions that you can do. i don't think thats true though.

my knowledge of theory is intermediate at best. but heres a thought. if you just take a 12 bar blues scale and want to calculate all the possiblities, i beleive it would look like this: 12 to the power of 12= 61,173,364,224

i had to use the computer calculator so i hope i didn't lose count. but this is over 61 BILLION! and that is only the tip of the iceberg.

Just had a wee trip down memory lane as I went back to the old TTJ archives. Ever do that? Its really interesting to see the posts again and what was being said when new albums were released. I remember the old page format when a new page would have to be created and Joe would utter his famous "ahhh new page" posting. The good thing about that is that we heard from Joe more often back then. I was a different username then but did see where I had Slan get on this site and add his first posting. So many people not here anymore though - but a few still are. I wonder if all those that were "Joe's biggest fans" still are.

Slan - Happy Birthday to Wee John. I'm betting he'll be better than 99% of guitarists by the time he is 5 with you around.

Goodnight everyone
