Zinc Master- about the "Brain is a Wonderful thing" - I think I've seen a similar article to that- I find that really interesting, because you read it the same speed more or less as you normally would. Thank you!!

TASTEY- whereabouts are you based? If you're in the U.S. I can't believe Wife Swap gets broadcast over there!

IbenezMike- hope you're still enjoying the G3 DVD!

Estrela, hi to you too, hope you are well!

Michelle- this computer is so ancient it is amazing it manages to crank itself up at all. But it certainly has a tremendous spirit, I'll give it that! LOL

Steven- Thankyou again for your nice comments- we're both really looking forward to getting your CD!! Hope your day went well today (sorry I keep forgetting the time differences! Here it's 8.15 p.m.! Anyway hope your day DOES go well then! :-)

Hi Joe, In future G3 tours have you considered having Michael Angelo Batio come play. His use of the double neck guitar as well as his over and under hand playing is awsome.

I think he would be great with you and Steve.

Hello all, i just wanted to say hi to everyone, I'm not really new to here, but I haven't been here since Engines first came out. I do have a quick question, does anybody know the details about fret tapping? ( I know Joe does so the questions for him too) I kinda got it down but I can't get to lower frets to sound on quicker passages. I'm trying to play Bamboo and I can't play the opening sextuplets. Thank you.

Smith Retires As NFL Career Rushing Leader

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - NFL career rushing leader Emmitt Smith retired Thursday, calling his 15-year career "a tremendous ride." Smith, who starred for the Dallas Cowboys (news) for 13 seasons and spent the last two years with Arizona, made the announcement at the Super Bowl — a fitting spot for a three-time champion.

"I've given everything I can possible to the game, on and off the field," Smith said.

The 35-year-old Smith ran for 18,355 yards and 164 touchdowns in his career, both NFL records. He rushed for 937 yards and nine touchdowns for the Cardinals this season.

He was more consistent than he was spectacular, a running back who could be relied on to get tough yards when tough yards were needed.

Tomjanovich Resigns As L.A. Lakers Coach

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Rudy Tomjanovich feels good about what the Los Angeles Lakers (news) accomplished during his brief tenure as coach. Problem is, he was unable to enjoy it while it was happening — especially in the past month when the stress of his job really got to him.

So Tomjanovich resigned Wednesday, vowing he'll never coach again.

"I was so proud of what we did. This isn't about that kind of stuff," Tomjanovich said at a news conference. "I looked at what we did and at times, I thought it was miraculous.

"A month ago, I became conscious of not feeling good. It just seemed like I got deeper and deeper into not feeling good. Why this happened now and why my body couldn't take it now, I do not have the answer.

"All I was thinking about was how to win the next damn game. I couldn't shut it off when I was away from the arena. It just kept wearing on me and wearing on me and my resistance got low and it hurt my health."

Tomjanovich went 24-19 as Phil Jackson's successor, with a revamped lineup built around Kobe Bryant. The Lakers' superstar guard has been sidelined the last nine games with a sprained ankle.

Included in Tomjanovich's record are the two wins the Lakers earned under assistant Frank Hamblen in games Tomjanovich missed this week because of a stomach virus.

Tomjanovich, 56, will remain with the Lakers as a consultant, mainly working as a scout.

Sammy Sosa Finalizes Move to Orioles from Cubs

TORONTO (Reuters) - Slugger Sammy Sosa (news) was introduced as the newest member of the Baltimore Orioles (news) after his trade from the Chicago Cubs (news) received the seal of approval from team doctors and MLB commissioner Bud Selig Wednesday.

Seventh on the Major League's all-time home run list with 574 and the only player with three 60-homer seasons, Sosa's move to Baltimore was finalized after the 36-year-old passed a physical and the commissioner's office gave its blessing to the complicated deal.

"Together, we've got a great line-up, and I'll have some good protection in the line-up," Sosa said on MLB.com.

"Whatever my new manager wants me to do, I'm here for the whole organization. I'm happy and I'm hungry."

Under the deal, the Cubs will send the All-Star outfielder to the Orioles for outfielder Jerry Hairston Jr and two minor league players.

The Cubs would also pay $12 million of Sosa's $17 million salary for 2005, plus $3.5 million as a severance agreement left over from an old contract, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The Orioles will pay $5 million of Sosa's salary this coming season, plus are responsible for the $4.5 million buyout of the option for the 2006 season.
