The prodigy's display, rare phenomenom, heaves an other point, banal : the maturity of the parenthood.

The display deprives the child of his childhood, & none childhood is, in the construction of a personnality, a terrible hell.

Too much people think only about themselves across the social exposition of their children. I think it's a shame.

Let your children have a real childhood, because they get only one.

Just a thought.

I'm catching up with old stuff here, but I'm current now...

GoldenGirl2 - Is your husband going to the Chickenfoot gig too, or will it just be you?
js1200js1000 - I don't know if you've fixed your T2J problem, but...make sure you have cookies enabled on your computer. If you do, go ahead and delete whatever satriani.com cookies you have and then try logging in again.
elpp - Thanks for posting those soccer (er, football) crowd videos...kinda different for here, but very cool.

And I agree about the early/pirated Chickenfoot songs. I'll admit to having found and listened to Satch stuff early in the past...the stuff is out there and is fairly easy to find. But I don't think it's right to talk about openly here. To be honest, I'm surprised the Van Halen News Desk posted the links in the first place. I know they're not an "official" site, but still...

Tony46 - It'll probably be several months before the Coldplay lawsuit is resolved...

The Chickenfoot album will be in stores in the UK on June 8.

roo - Ghosts is currently available in the US as an iTunes-only bonus track with the purchase of the entire PSATMOR album. Shortly after the release date it was available as a single, but I don't think it is any longer. So you'll have to shell out the US $9.99.
satchblues - I have no idea how long the line will be at Best Buy. I'll call the store in another week or two to try to get more details, but I think my plan will be to be there before 4 p.m. with fast food, a book, and my MP3 player. That's a lot of waiting, yes, but the other three guys in the band aren't as accessible as Joe so I think it's well worth it.

Also, can you send me an email at the address in my profile? It'd be nice to meet up with you at the gig at the Roxy...

D_O_M - Thanks for the Rockline date...
Igneousiceman - Your last "Listening to:" post wasn't specific enough...which of the many Ozzy solo versions of Paranoid was it? ;-)
hybes - The DMB iTunes thing is a really neat idea, yeah... I haven't done it because I plan on buying the $60 special edition of their new album, and I expect it to come with a lot of the video featured in the iTunes thing. And if not, well, I'll buy it later.

I still owe you bootlegs, by the way. I haven't forgotten...I've just been really busy.

brunointhehouse - Hi...welcome to the site!

Joe's Big Bad Wah is a new pedal that he just developed, so he wouldn't have been able to use it back when he recorded Love Thing. I'm pretty sure his choice wah pedal before his own was the Dunlop 535Q...if I had to guess, I'd say that's the one he used on Love Thing.

Blue_Moon - If Joe plays Summer Song at either of the two Chickenfoot gigs, you'll be getting a live phone call.
Listening to: Joe Satriani - If

Never mind the footie Slan, where's CD2?

Edit. BTW you've had a couple of honourable mentions recently over on Clarkus Maximus' site. Did I ask where CD2 is?

Cappy:Cd2 is released when i get a spare 4grand t have it mixed down in another studio have someone draw up the artwork & print n press 2000.Until then i have work t do for an open tuning DVD, finish writing/rec music for 2 TV documentarys, teach students, spend 4 hours a day entertaining a 15 month old, take intensive Catalan classes 5h/3 times a week and rehearse with a band...so....i,ll be lookin forward t parking my ass in the shamrock pub n scooping a few well deserved ales when the final is on.I,m not a footie fan but this is a big match for Barca, It,ll be wild craic here if they win

BTW:I,ll be setting up a youtube channel when the 2nd gets released, until then i,m keeping a low profile

Slan - Let's hope things don't start getting busy for ya! I've met a few Barca fans over the years, what a crazy passionate lot they are, great fun. I was in a bar in Tenerife once having a bit of a laugh with two of the three barmen as we watched Barca playing Real, I went to make room for more beer and as I was walking back they suddenly started knocking lumps off each other! Two minutes later they all happy and best friends again, amazing. Have a (virtual) beer on me and enjoy the match! No fighting though, don't want to damage the digits.

Very cool Chickenfoot video...it's probably my favorite of the bunch (the flock?). And I think the mahogany guitar is actually a JS 6, not a JS 3. Here's a picture from an older version of satriani.com:

Aaand, since the Chickenfoot tour begins today, I thought I'd share the Yngwie Elvis photo with everyone...but mainly mikesb and michelle.

No, I don't know where it originally came from. :-)
