Holy canoli, it's Mr. Stu Art Hamm = hammstu! Tell your buds it sure would be nice to see some RED & BLUE up in here! Thanks for dropping in. I didn't think the NYC vid would be posted so soon. We just got back from getting our swerve on at a friends 50th b-day party. My husband is on his computer across the room, and I hear this...odd sort of music. What do you know - he's playing Jaco vids on youtube!! See what I started Stu!!! lol!

What a great show tonight at the historic Carolina Theater. I thought our crowd was a little subdued but Stu woke 'em up, thanks. My favorite of the night was "Stormy Monday" w/ Leslie West. I'm a blues man at heart and listening to the JS Band+ do a blues number...let's put it this way, you're playing downtown Durham NC, it just fit perfectly.

A special thanks to Galen for being so very cordial (he is so nice!) to my daughter. The lucky ten year old won a free Washburn guitar in a raffle. Gets to go backstage, meets Galen and gets a picture with him. And then Joe gives her a wonderful greeting and autograph.

I hope the tour is a safe one, keep on rockin', hope your home before ya know it. Thanks again from Carolina.

Peace

Tuesdayschild - I've heard the Alter Bridge rumors as well, but they're just that...rumors.

I think that info is actually a bit old (before Robert posted the note on his website saying he would not be involved with anything Led Zeppelin-related). In my mind, it makes sense that maybe the Js would've been rehearsing with another singer just as a stand-in while Robert was off doing his own thing.

I saw Alter Bridge in concert three years ago and thought their singer was horrible. But I wasn't really a fan of the band to begin with (to be fair, if I wasn't a fan of Rush or Dream Theater I might have negative things to say about their singers after seeing them in concert). They did do a cover of LZ's Rock And Roll at that show, and I remember it being pretty good.

Personally I hope the Js find someone else. Maybe this guy is good, but we're talking about LED ZEPPELIN here. And you don't just get any singer for Led Zeppelin. I've also heard rumors that Steven Tyler has been rehearsing with the guys. I'd be more accepting of a big name like that, but I don't think he'll do it either because he has other things going on obviously.

On a personal note, I'm sorry to hear that things have been crazy lately...hopefully things are OK now. Did you ever end up getting those DVDs? Maybe something fun like that would help get your mind off this other stuff...

Blue_Moon - Blame Jon Luini...he was the one who took those photos. Maybe he took them at boring moments. ;-)

Seriously, though, you're right...US crowds, especially LA crowds, can be pretty lame. But I do have to say that gig at the Roxy had one of the better crowds...it just doesn't come across in the photos.

cheese101 - Yeah, I actually met Brian in line earlier that afternoon...it was nice to have someone to talk to while we were waiting (and listening to Joe's awesome soundcheck).

"They should post a warning label on Chinese yellow hot mustard stuffs"

I was up in Berkeley a few weeks ago for a concert. One of my co-workers went to school there, so she gave me a list of restaurants to try. She mentioned a hot dog stand that was really good, but she told me to stay away from the Russian mustard.

So, of course, I had to try it. I had a bit of a cold then, and man, it cleared everything up. I loved it...haha. But I don't think I'll ever try it again. ;-)

Listening to: Joe Satriani - Strange

And speaking of being sick, listening to this song now makes me think back to the pnemonia shows Joe played in late 2004. This song was in the setlist, and the "wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf" sounded like such a funny thing for Joe to be singing considering his condition.

Wow ! Mr. Stu Hamm ! T2J history has been made ....Very happy you dropped in Stu...please drop a line anytime.

It has'nt been this exciting since I mentioned that Eric (Andre) looked a little "baked" in one of the tour pictures. And he immediately posted back and very nicely corrected me. Does anyone here remember that? Boy, I felt like a heel but Eric was very nice about it..

It rained all day yesterday. When I woke up this morning, the sun was shining bright. The first thought in my head was "The sun is up!" and the very next thing was - "the sky is blue, it's beautiful, and so are you, Dear Prudence won't you come out today.

I love when I wake up with a song in my head :- )

Stu Art Hamm,

Great to hear from you and glad to hear that things are going well with the tour and everything. Please tell Joe and the crew I said hello.

Hey Everyone,

Bad news. I cannot do the 10K run because of work. I told my boss (weeks in advance) that I was pre-registered for this race. He said that he needed me desperately because by far, I am probably one of the best workers for him. I told him that I would sacrafice my race. To be honest, I can't turn him down because he is not just my boss, but outside of work, he is my best friend. Hey, I would do anything for him. We had our opening of the new Holiday Inn on Friday. I have to serve, host, be cashier, and do room service all this week. My boss/friend really trusts me a lot.

Do the Stu/Out of the Setlist: Hope things are going well with you. It looks like I will not be getting a day off anytime soon. It is non-stop work for me, but that is okay. I should be happy that I have this job. How are things going out there for you?

js1200js1000: What is up man!? Haven't heard from you in a while. I figured you were probably busy. Let me know what is up man.

ZuperDave: How are you doing man? Are you and the family doing well? I hope I get the CD. That reminds me, you said you will add the other CD? I should at least pay for that as well. Prayers to you and your family.

echausse: Whoa!!! That is so cool that you knew Joe from a while back and you were a former neighbor to him as well. How are things going with you and what is it that you do for a living? I saw you got back from Atlanta and I was just wondering. I do hospitality work for two hotels in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Guitarman77897: I know you have to wait until Christmas, but that is what makes it more exciting. I am thinking about getting that Vox Satchurator for my best friend for Christmas. He has a JS100 in white so it would be wicked and baaddaassss to have that Satchurator to go with it.

hybes: Sorry for your loss (father in law). Prayers to you and your family during this time. Man, you are right. Life is short.

Well, I gotta run. I have to head on in to work and serve and do cashiering. Stu, again, great to hear from you and best of luck to you, Joe, and the crew. Please write back (including Joe and everyone)!!! See ya for now.
