Thanks scuby - much appreciated. Drive carefully mate and I hope you have a ball.

Hmmmmm isn't it around 8.00 am in Cork? No report from Al yet, maybe he'll find a puter somewhere today.

Anybody else lurking who went to the Marquee show last night?

Mick Brigden rocks out - go Mick!

Check out the head bangin stylee of Mr Mick

This Peavey thing looks like it's really gone south!

Scubadaz - I haven't been there for a few years so I'll check it all out later. Shout you if I find anything useful

Skippygirl - following on from Do The Stu about Joe's gear, there was a period where when Joe was abroad he'd just pick up some Peavey gear at the country he was in, then sign it and leave it behind. I think that might be on one of his posts here if you search it

Do The Stu - no email from you about the related something yet - did you change your mind?

... and yes, shame on me re attendance. It's one of those tiny things I should have done but haven't got round to. Hope to catch up with Joe anyway, fingers crossed

Elpp - sorry to hear Fathers day not so good. Keep the music on, stay positive, good vibes from me

Cheese - no worries. Be sure to check out Mick above

Webmaster - we know you've already tried but perhaps you can persuade those lyrics out of Joe and post them ; ) Seems funny that he's really shy about them, they couldn't have been THAT bad.

I actually thought it was Thursday when I woke up so I had an extra spring in my step (despite the 3 hour tennis marathon last night). Oh well, guess I can get excited all over again tomorrow

Chickenfoot Thursday - yeehaw!

Wow...Mick is really rockin' there. Very cool!

Here's Sexy Little Thing at the same show, from the crowd's point of view:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHQh406UN3Q

I love, love, love...Chad on the bass drum at about 28 seconds.

michelle - I don't think there's a full-on listening party like what Joe does, but I'm sure I can find some Dream Theater samples for you somewhere. I'll get back to you...
Guitarvibes - I agree with a lot of what you just said. The new album is good, but due to the mixing and other things it sounds like a DIFFERENT band from the one that recorded things like Awake or even Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence. I like it, but it's hard to relate sometimes.

I don't know if I'd go "album of the year" with it yet...there's some tough competition. I know we like different music, but the month of June alone has Dave Matthews Band, Chickenfoot, Dredg, Dream Theater and the Mars Volta. That right there might make up my top five...I just need to get the order straight.

Pip Satrini - I was going to ask you something but I ended up finding the answer on my own. You're curious now, though, so I'll email you anyway. ;-)

Oh, and thanks for posting this. I love Joe moving back and forth while talking starting at 0:57. He sounds like a little kid...it's awesome.

So Sammy and I got together and we wrote some songs and then Chad and Mike came over and they went "Heythoseareprettygood!"

scubadaz - Wow...you can still see, despite all that? Our eyes are amazing.

CF Rocked Cork last night in the Marquee. They played their usual set, basically the full album, plus a few oldies at the end. The guys really seemed to enjoy preforming and the crowd went wild! Extra special thanks to Joe who was going to give a free music workshop to teenagers in the "Glanmire House of Rock", but alas due to logistics it never happened. Next stop London... you guys are in for a real treat. What a show! Sammy and Joe did a twin guitar solo during the last song... Amazing stuff.

By the way...Joe was playing through 2 Marshall JVMs plus he used a Peavey and Crate rig which didn't appeared to be mic'd. Maybe they were DI'ed?

He mostly played his Ibanez Chickenfoot guitar, but also used a twin neck for Bitten by the Wolf and another Ibanez for Future in the Past

Hope they release another album soon...

Hello Satchlanders.. long time no type-ee. Great to see most all the gang still onsite and posting. Best wishes to you all. Thrilled about CF coming to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I still can't believe it. I will get all my fellow farmers and cattlemen so we can make a good showing at our 95-year old opera house (built 1914). It is haunted and a very cool venue. Keep the faith, y'all! PEACE, LOVE, and JOE!

David O'Connell - thanks for the show report David, much appreciated, sounds like a great gig. Shame you couldn't work out the logistics for a visit by Joe, I'm sure he would have if he could have.

tulsachops - that sounds great! how fantastic to get all your mates together and go to the show, make sure you post a gig report and also take some pics so we can see you and all the cattlemen and farmers rocking out to Chickenfoot.

scuby - sorry to hear about your eye are you OK to drive?

Still no word from Al?

This one is for everyone who...

a) has kids

b) had kids

c) was a kid

d) knows a kid

e) is going to have kids.

I guess that means all of us!!

DADDY'S GONNA EAT YOUR FINGERS

I was packing for my business trip and my three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said,'Daddy, look at this', and stuck out two of her fingers.

Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, 'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them.

I went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.

I said, 'What's wrong, honey?'

She replied, 'What happened to my booger?'

If he was drinking - and given that it was his birthday and Chickenfoot on consecutive nights - I'm sure he put a hurtin' on himself. I'd be disappointed if he didn't. lol!

Love this one.... at 28 seconds.... Old but good, and especially for Webmaster's fine entry at 1 minute in. He he he.

Skippygirl - am hoping some more vids will turn up... including Dancing boy Al at Zappa : ) It arrived, but my bum looks a bit big in it... not sure what to wear now, was relying on that

Scubadaz - I have a feeling I parked at the shopping centre last time too. Bumped into an old friend a few weeks ago who told me all about how his retina had fell off a few weeks before that. It grossed me out but the explanation of the surgery... amazing, and he's back to full sight

Do The Stu - no worries. You're right, he must be like a kid in a candy store at the mo (not least with his amps ha ha).

Michelle / Cheese - thanks for those Cork links. Al must have partied REALLY hard... where are you Blue Moon. You don't think he's stuck in a ditch (again?)?

Hmm... on a positive note, does this mean JSX Heads & Cabs are likely to come down in price as they clear em out?

Although I dont post much I do read a lot of what is going on and would like to comment on the Peavey/Marshall debate...

In the video in Cork HERE at about 05:15 ish you can see Joe using 2 Marshall heads and on the far left is a JSX. Also the 3 cabs on stage are Peaveys also...

Hmmmm...
