Can anyone tell me what an “E Aeolian Dominate” is? I watched a modes lesson of Joe’s on Comcast cable. He explained it as a minor scale with a diminished 3rd. Can anyone explain what he meant? If you diminish or lower a 3rd in a minor it becomes a 2nd. Thanks

jsbluedream - I pre-ordered it about a week ago. Hopefully it will come tomorrow...

About the posts - I don't really care how much you post (not like it's my board anyway...), I was just saying you might want to combine all your posts into one if you have a lot of thoughts one after another by hitting the edit button and adding to your first post.

cube - best tone? Eric Johnson's the obvious answer, but I really like SRV's quite a bit as well.

js1200js1000 - congrats - that's awesome! Now get back to helping your wife so nobody gets hurt over there :-)

Just got the pre-release (not signed :-() in the mail about an hour ago (been a long day, just got to check the mail...). Sounds good to me - real crisp, but I've got to really listen to it tomorrow and compare it with the other versions of the album. Some great song stories in there as well!

Looks like Joe did his taxes on March 28th that year, judging from the calendar scans AND put out a classic instrumental guitar record!

From the Not Of This Earth liner notes (about the then upcoming Surfing release): "As of this moment, I'm ... recording another solo record, which I promise will turn heads, drop jaws and create world peace in our lifetime!"

Well Joe, you got two out of three :-)

Ibanezplyr - Andy Timmons is amazing. Check out the "House Full Of Bullets" jam with Joe, if you haven't already. I think ForeverJoe.com's got it...

Hi y'all...you know what...I am worried about me....I seem to be finding more and more things really funny and having more and more total fits of laughter even in the naffest places and I mean hysterical, tears down yer face fits for about 10 minutes

at this rate by the time I am an pensioner...watch it people...don't even go there...I will be laughing all day.

do you think I should see a doctor?

moving on...oh yeah doctors...

JS1200JS1000 - Did you have it yet....what did you have...don't keep us in suspense...yeah yeah I know you are busy now...but still...come on...us women need details, names, places, weights...that kinda thing! LOL

CONGRATULATIONS!

Only seems five minutes ago you were real excited when you got the news that you were gonna be a dad....now hopefully, you are...WOW...came at just the right time to take away some of your sadness too!

BadNomad - You have to do a LOT of saving for everything in America don't you...seems very complicated to me...I have changed my mind....would love to be over there with Joe....but I think I will stay in the UK...less complicated. LOL

gruskada - Oh my word...thank you so much for that link, it is firmly in my Joe Favourites folder..it's so lovely

THANK YOU!

ooooooo saturday morning cartoons.....Oh wow I miss them....when I were a wee lass it was cartoons all the way till 12 noon on a Saturday morning....awww don't cha just love em....they make you laugh so much...I love things that make you laugh...if I get a film ...9 out of 10 times its always summit that will make me laugh...shhhh...its the secret of youth ya know...don't tell everyone though shhhh....the other one would usually be a nice fantasy...never get horrors or bad things....We have been doing a marathon film watch over this weeek....Alien Autopsy, Meet the Fockers, Chronicles of Narnia, The Brothers Grimm, Nesbit, Ghost Rider, My super ex-girlfriend, school for scoundrels, Nacho Libre...hehe I love Jack Black he has such an energy about him....School of Rock is such a classic!

maybe that is why I laugh so much now....trained myself to find everything ....well nearly everything funny! whats your favourite cartoon?

shredguy - Congrats on the new amp...may it bring you much joy my friend!

AmirK - Hey welcome back, you have been gone soooooo long, have you heard all the news?

Daddariosoul - Morning....but I think I missed something....whats arriving quickly?

MariMariSRV - Thinking of you!

Hey, we went to a theme park yesterday, hmmmmm the trouble with going to the Florida Theme Parks is..everywhere ya go after that...is...well...pretty naff...sigh...anyway the good thing is that although you can sit on thrill rides like you are riding a bus....you can concentrate more on watching other peoples faces ...oh its hillarious....there was this guy yesterday...you know the sort...tall, thinking he was gods gift to mankind in his vest top, all "I'm the man" in the queue for this ride which swings up to 100 degrees angle and spins at the same time...its shaped like a big claw, holds 20 and you all face each other...anyway his face, ah hillarious...he was actually doing kinda breathing exercises to stay calm, er which were not working by the look on his face...he got off very shaky...and by the time we had raced round and gone on it another 3 times he we still across the path holding on for dear life to a pole with the occasional kiss of life from his girlfriend..hahahaha

sorry yes shouldn't laugh at people...yes sorry

BUT IT WAS FUNNY!

haha like watching this family the other day doing all sorts of crazy stuff just to get away from a wasp...again involving a macho dad dancing around and doing a john cleese impression, a mum pelting hell for leather across the grass and kids all over the place, such entertainment!

Oh oh and a great one....macho garry boy trying to look cool walking across a stony beach in bare feet LOL

Hugs Satriella xx

Van Halen, Roth to announce tour next week

NASHVILLE (Billboard) - Van Halen will announce a 50-date American reunion tour with original singer David Lee Roth during a news conference in Hollywood next week, sources said.

The arena trek will begin in early October.

Roth, who split from the rock group in the mid-1980s in hopes of solo stardom, will reunite with co-founders Eddie Van Halen on guitar and brother Alex Van Halen on drums. Eddie's teenage son Wolfgang will sub for Michael Anthony on bass.

A proposed summer amphitheater tour by the group never got off the ground, with Eddie Van Halen entering a rehabilitation facility for undisclosed reasons in March.

In the months since, the guitarist has been seen publicly looking healthy and fit.

Van Halen last toured in 2004, with Roth's replacement, vocalist Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
