stu_ick87 - lmao! My daughter loves that one. Sounds like a rotting flesh disease aquired by small fish in a muddy bog.

Ovation:- The thing I said about yngwie- yes it's true.- very f****d up indeed.

Michel_1_of 4:- When playing satriani-or any cover- the most important thing is to just play it right weather or not your effects are top notch. Many of today's 24-bit effects are capable of emulating very closely the sound you want. Next then is your pick-ups- single or humbucker will make a noticable difference. Toggle position is a big part of coloring your sound also. I use an rp-100 through a rockman e.q. through an rfx 300 [zoom] into a solid state amp and find that with my strat I can re-create and be satisfied with the outcome of many effects. If you do have a newer digitech you will want to add some things to it because by themselves there very plain, but for modeling and coloring they're fantastic.

Stu Clone - Ha, that reminds me another picture on satriani.com where there is a picture of the audience and the light is hitting one guy just right that he stands out and everyone is in relative darkness. Funny, yes.

Mowlie - I was always expecting a lead to come in, just for the sake of me being used to listening to other people from this site playing instrumentals. I do think the riffing is strong to the point where a conventional melodic lead might not fit. There definately is room for a lead but it has to be something that fits in it's own way, although, I could also hear this song with strong rock vocals.

Shawn Lane died? - Hunh, I haven't heard a single thing from him.

this is a very cool website. i hope i didn't start off on the wrong foot with some people. I've said some nice things and some not-so-nice things. If I ever offended anyone: I'm sorry and hope everything is cool. It's easy for me to forget that there are real people on the other end. your friend in thought- one and only pizza man.

pizza man - Yngwie is about 6' 3". That's nowhere near short where I come from, are you an Amazonian? ;)

I'm sure he is difficult to work with though, he is very demanding.

One day I'm going to post my story of the time I hung out with Yngwie for a night, and put him in a positive light for once, seeing as everyone here is so negative about him....

pizza man: No not yet. Been busy drinking and recording nonsense, but still having fun. You'll find I'm very far from being a serious musician. I started out just hitting stings and making noise (ala Discovery sequence in 2112, didn't pick it up that quick though lol) and have only in the last year started playing on a regular basis. I still have no idea what I'm doing, no clue as to what scales or modes I might be playing or what rules I might be breaking. I've started slowly dipping my toe in theory, but have found the water is pretty cold there, so I'm just going along at my own pace.

IUMA decided to cooperate with me a few minutes ago, so now at long last, I can share with you all the pinnacle of my writing/recording career lol! The Anti-Rhythmic Sounds of the Mating Humpback Whales! And yes, it was the vodka that did it to me.

By the way, Happy 777 Michelle
