Joeman, I can tell you one thing about Dublin right away. Mr Satriani is NOT playing here on the European tour. He's always played here before...........

Guess he don't like Guinness !

Michelle, Glad u appreciated my sentiments re Mr Malmsteen, It just seemed to fit somehow............

I'm really liking the new cd, some really cool music on there. Threw it on at work first thing yesterday morning, and had my co-workers digging it!

One more piece of Steve Stevens info I forgot yesterday. The band he was in for a short time was called "Atomic Playboys" i believe.

my dad and I saw Yngwie from the 1st row back on the 6th and it was absolutley fantastic. The man is actually very melodic in his playing. I was once a non-believer in Yngwie, but now i really dig him!..signed, tomjr--conservative republican.

Michelle--yea, I imagine it worked out a little better for us. The price was a little much, especially since the T-shirt that came with the package was too small, but it was our first time seeing DT so we really wanted to make sure we had good seats.

Ceremony and The Crush Of Love for G3 Slovenia!

trutina, 'What are you doing dave?' hahaha. The voice cracks me up...it sounds like HAL could be ever-so-slightly kinky on his nights off!! maybe get really dirty and compare data with an 8000 series! shock-horror!
Got ITLIS today. it's good, but I don't think it's anything really special. The first 2 tracks are cool, and the 2 vocal tracks are pretty ace. Overall the album is nice, but it lacks a 'take-you-on-a-journey' type song like Flying In A Blue Dream, Cool #9, or Time. Also, why weren't the lyrics printed in the CD liner?! aaaaaahhhhhh....that's something I hate, along with CD's that don't have numbers next to the track titles!! It's still cool, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone as their first Satch record to buy.
Ollyno1, hey man! I'm ok thanks, hows you? I think it was Ethn who said something about the Buzz Feitin system being a gimmick.....Ethn? Please explain! I don't know much about it, so I'd be interested to know your thoughts!
The Forgotten (Part 2) and Lights Of Heaven for G3!
Anibur, update.......my sister got her G3 tickets today, so you should have yours too, if not in the next week!
rustydog, Fretslayer, trutina, mikesb thanks gents! I've made a copy of all your notes and ill go looking for Steve Stevens when I get some money! His playing on the 'Submarine' record is pretty sweet...it's really varied, all in one song, and he uses some nice tones.

Both of Gregg's records have got me onto players - Ty Tabor, Paul Gilbert, Steve Lukather, and now I'm after Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Steve Stevens and Ritchie Kotzen too!

jesus cristo! I'm just wading through 10 pages of posts (I missed out yesterday cuz I was watchin a movie) and I'm suprised to see all the aggro that's flyin about here! what's the story guys....calm it down!
Eric Johnson for G3 again!
Anybody else seen Shaun Of The Dead? that's what I was out watchin last night - it's really funny. It's one of about 3 or 4 British films that are actually worth considering watching!
What's wrong with Joe playing in a record store? just because he's played in front of tens of thousands, it doesn't mean he has to do that every time he gigs in public. I've played in a corridor before and it was sweet - just cause it was a 100 people instead of a 1000, it was still a cool atmosphere.
SOTD, 'Get To Go' or 'World Of Trouble' (I just can't decide!) ~ Eric Johnson

If I was rich, I could pay Joe a lot to teach me guitar. I played guitar for 3 years without teachers because they can't do for me. I'm a fan of solist player and death/black/progressive band. I write this kind of shit and I play blues improvisation too. I need somebody to tell me what makes my guitare cry and sing more and more and how somebody can play harmonica while playing "the extremist" at the guitar...

Hey satch, I just got the new album and I have to say your crazy. I mean that in the best way possible. If I could Fly is probably my favorite on the album. The only problem with it is the solo going on and on at the end. I'm still not sure if I really love it or really hate it. It's one of those things that you're not sure of. I love the main melody in it and I only wish I could hear more of it in the song. The vocals on the album rock and I can't wait to come see you in Cleveland if you make it here. I don't know if you remember anyone from the cleveland show with a big pink sign last time you came with Dream Theater but that was me. I'll have another giant pink sign for you this time around. Just look for me. Until then, later Satch and keep up the awsome work...

Joe, I met you at the Sacramento signing last night. I must say you are very humble for being the world's greatest guitarist.

Some people want to do things before they die, such as go skydiving, bungee jump, etc. Since I was a teenager, mine has been to meet Joe Satriani. So now I can die, hehe.
