scubadaz: Wow, must be useful having Oulton so close, I did a drive experience there for my b'day last year. Only 3 laps in a Clio, but fun as hell. Must have been nice being a marshal (when it wasn't raining...)
Hamilton for champ again this year. Just thought I'd make my support clear now :)
JSPhil: On the MTB? Nah...that would be good going. It's another little life goal ticked off that. Next up, breeze past someone on a carbon racing machine on a steep hill, (him preferably puffing, me straight face...to collapse further on :)
DoTheStu: The Eagles and Hotel California, every time I listen to that I imagine desert (not dessert as I nearly typed...). Also, I imagine the new U2 album would fit well, 'No Line on the Horizon' seems quite fitting.

Listening to: Banana Mango II by Joe

Do The Stu - how about America - "Horse With No Name"? :0))

Or The Eagles - Take It Easy :0) OK just joshin'...........

Actually if I drive down to my sister's (about 1 hr) I usually put on SWTA at full volume followed by Live in Tokyo but I know you have much wider musical interests.

For an oddball - my daughter just got the Twilight soundtrack and it's actually pretty good (starts with Muse).

My other favourite for driving is the Almost Famous soundtrack, I know I'm a dag............mind you, you could always make up a playlist like Drivin' At Night, The Traveller etc...........

edit...Iggy we were on the same page LOL..........

Skippygirl: The joys of early morning (or in your case, evening) posting eh? I hadn't thought of 'A horse with no name'...I can imagine it now, rolling sand, a cool breeze...none of which I have experienced for many many months. :)

Skippy 'Horse with no name' was the first that came to my mind. It's one of my favorite songs.
Since we're on the singer songwriter vibe I say: Country Roads by John Denver, Small Wonders by Dog's Eye View, Keep Your Distance by Buddy & Julie Miller, Ballad Of Billy Jo McKay by Shawn Mullins, Little Blind Fish by CPR.
Some guitars for on the road: Cold Shot by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Champion by Tony MacAlpine, Land Of The Midnight Sun by Al Di Meola, Morse Code by the Travis Larson Band, Good To Go by Steve Morse Band, The Final Frontier by Frank Gambale. If you're in a hurry: Race With Devil On Spanish Highway by Al Di Meola.

I like Pink Floyd for driving in the desert. Daxid Gikmore put something out 3 year ago that makes for nice driving too. Can't think of the name though.

Hey, I recently bought an RG350EX (Ibanez), it's the RG series.

Tuning the guitar is a bit stranger than I thought, because I have to tune it from the bridge, the tremolo part.

Could you tell me what the top is for, and how I would tune the guitar with it.

Thanks!

guitarvibes - Thank you very much.

When I first heard them, Down the Drain was my favorite, but after about 10 listens each, I think Soap on A Rope is really growing on me more. Not just because I was in the Navy for 8 years!! =) I think I really like the vibe of that song overall. But my favoriite part of Down the Drain is right at about 3:44. I am surprised that one of these songs will not be released as a single. From what I read, there are 2 other songs that they are choosing from.

whoahesgood-How to Tune a Floyd Rose or Similar Trem.

This should help. It's a different animal so it will take some getting used to .Don't get discouraged...Learn how to deal with it. You will love it as long as it is a good quality trem. and stays in tune reasonably.

Castle49- David Gilmore is another for my genius list.

Good morning America and Canada!! Good Evening Europe and Australia(actually Good Tuesday)

cosmic_ape:sounds excellent A, goes t show anything is achievable when y set yer mind t it, you also now have a marker for how good it gets, enjoy and let me know how that develops for y.Back in the day when i was at music college we had t recognize the interval of the first 2 notes auraly from 11 different songs which worked t an extent but man teaching methods have developed so much its crazy, thankfully for the better, i,m actually a tad jealous lol some of the crap we were drilled with 20 years back was totaly useless n bored me senseless

Good afternoon Al.....now today would be good t be on the tair in Dub a,d say

wonder what T-bone n mama M make of Your plan t snare some Chickenbreastage?

Aussies- Marcos Ambrose was pretty impressive yesterday, He has made the transition from the "drive like a dream" F1 car to the "ill handling" 3400 pound block of a stock car rather nicely. He ran in the to 5 all day until the end and still finished top 10 being down a cylinder. Bristol is a brutal track on a driver, fighting the car for 500 laps. I know Bristol is a "turn right only" track, but it you really have to be in shape to endure. You know these Sprint Cup cars are very difficult to drive compared to the F1.I thought I read in the posts where one of you had done an F1 driving experience. I am doing a 40 lap NASCAR experience this summer and would love to do an F1 experience.

JOE! I DO NOT BELIEVE IT!

I was in Sanfran in October as you know. I was looking at getting an additional guitar with the thought I could get it painted white and ask if I could leave it with you to doodle all over it when you had time in the studio, and then seal it to keep. I thought a white guitar with black satch sketches would look awesome...

AND WHAT DID I SEE ON THE CHICKENFOOT VID!

Man, that is very cool. A WHITE DOG! .... When is Ibanez gonna put that into production! I want #1 from the limited editions please... :)

Roo...did you ever see pics of the guitar Joe did for the Dimebag tribute? It was a white guitar with black drawings all over it. I think they auctioned off those guitars eventually, but I'm not 100% certain on that. It's a one-of-a-kind.

Slan...I may never pee at a concert again, thanx....lol!

Plus, as chelle said, the line to the girls bathroom is gonna get lots longer now, dammit. Joe...didya think of that when u decided to do Chickenfoot? Didn't that factor in at ALLLL???

HAHAHA - yes it was left with some knights, but they kept asking for more shrubberies and changing their names......

No I didn't see that white guitar before. Or maybe I did and didn't remember it, but thought I had thought it up.... Oh no....

I'd better do some research....

I love my Crystal Planet - fantastic fun the play and damn heavy.

My granddad would be proud, it was always the heavy things that were good value and well built as far as he was concerned.

DoTheStu...I think the problem is our $10 a month NetZero service. I can watch some YouTube stuff if I wait the half an hour it takes to play. Then I just replay it but have a lousy image. A lot won't play at all. And music? Forget it. Streaming music just stutters and then just quits altogether. I don't know what you mean as far as bandwidth etc...I'm just an Irish workgrunt with passable computer knowledge.

burly....I agree with you on the Trem issue. I damn near pulled my hair out trying to figure mine out. Still do occasionally. But it's worth it..
