michelle - can we modify that a little to

sodomise the masses....

lmao..

Nick - that's a nice attitude to have... setting your sights to something realistic... so if things don't work out.. then no big deal... and if things go well.. then go with the flow....
mikesb - for me.. then end of Malm's most creative spell is Trilogy... from No Parole to Trilogy I think he was smokin'...
although I thought the 'unofficial' first album [that preceded Marching Out] was largely crap..

and despite the crass lyrics, Marching Out is a stormin' album

civgeek - actually I thought Vai didn't suit Alcatrazz too.. it's not that Vai sucked, it's more like pouring gravey on your cornflakes... it just ain't gonna work... lol..
optical - a stack and a twin are very different tones.... have you considered a pair of 2x12 cabs... it may be a nice compromise... could be worth a try out if nothing else..
Suzie - could you imagine Jaqueline du Pré mashing her Stradivarius Cello into a drum kit..
then screwing it [simulated of course.. lol] and then burning it in the middle of the stage...

lol..

nah.. lmao..

gee3 - wow... what can I say.... that's quite a list to stick my track amongst...

wow... fuck.. lol...

deepest thanx... more than you'd ever know...

achoo: check your email. I did not recieve yours yet.

optical studio: thats one cool sounding guitar man. I had EMG's on mine but I sold it to guitar center for a schecter blackjack. But my magic potion is definitely the GT6. Cannot live without it. I have seen all your cd's on cdbaby and have listened to them all so far. Where's ATN btw?

do the stu: It may get old for you, but its still new to me! btw, I really hope Bush loses.

Cuthbert! the man with the plan! Reading your posts take so much work in a good way. I like the way you investigate it all out.

Hey all, I heard from Mikey. He's doing well and enjoying more time with his family. Although things are well, Okinawa is under a typhoon, so keep them in your prayers please.

Jazzy, very cool of you to pass on your passes. It's a gentlemanly thing to do. I hope whoever gets them is blown away by the beauty of all things Joe.

Austin, it was SNL! Of course! lol! Your link doesn't work, but that's o.k., I get the joke now. Thanks.

Steven, I use folgers singles, so my coffee pot never backs up ;-) lol! Hope the mess wasn't to bad. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I doooo love my cup o' joe in the morning. lol!

Jblaze, maybe I should start singing "Here Comes The Sun". It's raining today which is a bummer. I'm hoping it blows over by drive time to go to the Godsmack/Metallica show tonight. We have to leave here about 4:00, which is going to put us right in the hell of rush hour traffic *groan*. My daughter was so excited to be going to the show with her bf and his family, but she just got a wicked cold and feels like crap. Poor kid. I really hope she feels better as the day goes on. Glad Mari made your day. lol! We didn't have much time to hang out, but we did get to chat at intermission and after the show. Give your mum a hug and tell her HELLO from T2J :)

bahduh, I'm good. How are you?

Clarky, you made me clench 'em up when I read that. lmao! Let's keep it to 'sod the masses'.

Hi michelle!! :-) We are definately on the same wave length girl!! ;-)

Right now the eye has passed over us and here come the trailing winds, lol!!.... It's all good though, cause the satellite pic looks like the storm is breaking up a little, but it will cruise through Mainland Japan tomm.... Our reinforced concrete houses do fine in these storms, but it does get un nerving hearing the howl all the time, lol....

I skimmed through the 1,000 post's lol, and Alexandre was right, he knew I would post soon!! ;-) I was so happy to hear that michelle, Cyber Alien, Mari and Matt King got to hang out at JOE' show, and what a great gift for JOE michelle!! SATCHUR8!!.... It doesnt get any better than that!! :-)

On that note, I read a nice story from Dr. VAI's diary about doing the latest G3 Tour:

I didn't think it was possible but even Joe and I bonded deeper too. Our musical communication reached new heights. At times it was like the ESP jams. Moments reminded me of when I was a 14-year-old kid and we would sit in his backyard, back to back for hours at a time and just play. All we had was our ears and fingers. We would listen to each other and although my playing abilities were far inferior to his, we communicated on intimate musical levels totally freely. In those hours I learned the meaning of selfless and pure musical communication and have never felt it at that kind of a level since then, until this tour. There is just something that comes over me when I'm in the vicinity of Joe and we both have guitars on. I feel musically alive like no other time.

Some of you (like me) may have read that before, but I love to read it every time....

And I love what he has to say about composing:

Composing and orchestrating is actually my favorite thing to do. Having command over all those musicians at the scratch of a pencil is an extraordinarily exhilarating feeling. It's dope baby!

BTW, I heard it was Clarky's birthday recently.... Happy belated bro, I'm sure monged is an understatement, lol!!.... Glad to hear your tracking on the project is going well.... My gift will be coming soon for ya, and I'll email ya when I get a chance to get to the Post Office....

Take care guys and gals, and keep the SATCH Realm nice and warm for me!! ;-) Oh, and Hello JOE!! :-)

Also.... Make sure you do the "power stay on" dance for Japan please!! ;-)

Mikey!!! LOL! Just how does that "power stay on" dance go? lmao! I checked out the weather & maps on weather.com for Okinawa. It says you're getting some pretty good gusts up to 65 mph. Little pig, little pig, let me come in. You just keep saying "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!" lol! Stay safe brother!

LOL michelle!!.... You gotta flick your arm up in the air like your grabbing the string and turning on the light!!.... It looks kinda goofy, but it does work.... And if your in pajamas, it can get quite interesting, lol ;-)

The gust's were forcasting at over 100 before the storm arrived, but I'm glad it's having trouble, lol!!.... Thanks for the message, and talk to ya later :-)

Welcome a taste of RORY!! I loved Rory Gallagher!! Never got enough credit for being on the leading edge of pinched harmonics and squeals. What is your fave Rory album? I like a lot of em but still have a special attachment to "Calling Card" and the tune "moonchild", amongst the most rocking stuff Rory ever released!!

Welcome again man!!!

Clarky, re Malm if this is the album you refer to personally not liking then we have a major disagreement on our hands. This album is amongst my top 5 of all time. Don't get me wrong I loved Marching Out and Trilogy as well but for sheer bombast and jaw droppingness, this was the Malm for me...

Clarky I would have to go with mikesb on this one. Rising Force was the beginning of it all for me. THAT album made me practice. At that time I was playing a lot of different instruments from strings to horns. This made me settle on the guitar for sure. I was in my room a triad sweeping fool. My parents were so tired of songs in minor modes! It was a very raw version of Malm.

Hello Satchland!!

ahhh, it's been some time since I was here for the last time! I'm so busy with school this year:( I can barely play my guitar (fortunately i'm attending musical school twice a week-I play classical guitar there and I can tell you that classical guitar rock!)

So, are there some news I should know about?

btw, Ovation, I love that story from Vai's diary!
