francis brunn has died...

a legend of juggling and performance in general (Click here for amazing proof from 1961 I know it's nothing to do with Satch or anything, but we can all learn from a performer as amazing as Francis Brunn...

CiviGeek, Definitely go to see Joe Bonamassa.. He has been sharing the stage with the likes of BB King, Albert Collins and Danny Gatton since he was 10 years old!!! He is a phenom and his latest outing Blues Deluxe, is smokin.

In the '90ies, at about 16, Joe played in a great band called "Bloodline" with the sons of Miles Davis, Robbie Krieger, and Barry Oakley! It is a great "rock blues" album check it out!!!

Just purchased the new Velvet Revolver CD - after first listen - not too bad.

You can tell the STP and GNR influences in the band - basically very updated sound of both of the bands.

It comes in 3 different covers (black, red, white) - Motley Crue tried that once (red and yellow).

Maybe later today I will pick up the new Stephen King book - part 6 of 7 of the Dark Tower series.

962 - It's the regular Axis. I prefer the double locking trem. I'm currently leaning towards the Axis, the repair guy at the store will put a D-Tuna on the EBMM Axis for me if I decide to get it. Now I just gotta come up with the $$$

MIKESB - Thanks for the extra input. I love the blues.

TO ALL - If your into the blues there is a station here in Portland, Oregon that has a great blues show. They stream it on line. Look up KMHD from 4pm -2am on Fridays Pacifictime. THe 4-6 slot is my favorite. More electric blues. the next slot is more acoustic, delta styles, after that I don't know I'm usually asleep.

AUSTIN - How goes the wah search ?

Name that Tune ~ It's one of my rip-yer-heart-out favs.

You and I together in our lives/ Sacred ties would never fray/ Then why can I let myself tell lies/ And watch you die every day

I think back to the times/ When dreams were what mattered/ Tough talking youth naivete

You said you never let me down/ But the horse stampedes and rages/ In the name of desperation

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you look at yourself/ When you think of what/ You left behind

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you live with yourself/ When you think of what/ You left behind

Paranoid delusions they haunt you/ Where my friend I used to know/ He all alone/ He buried deep within a carcass/ Searching for a soul

Can you feel me inside your heart/ As it bleeding/ Why can you belive you/ can be loved

I hear you scream in agony/ And the horse stampedes and rages/ In the name of desperation

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you look at yourself/ When you think of what You left behind

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you live with yourself/ When you think of what You left behind

You said you never let me down/ But the horse stampedes and rages/ In the name of desperation

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you look at yourself/ When you think of what You left behind

Is it all just wasted time/ Can you live with yourself/ When you think of what You left behind

The sun will rise again/ The earth will turn to sand/ Creation colors seem to fade to grey/ And youl see the sickly hands of time/ Will write your final rhyme/ And end a memory

I never thought you let it get this far, boy

Nick - I got your message.. my mobe is not mine.. it's a company phone.. I can receive text but can't send..

right now all shit is breaking loose at work... I've been typically working from 9 in the morning until midnight [for the last three weeks [and it don't look like letting up for a while..]..

as well as the regular day-job stuff we are in 'upgrade season' which means that I've been doing a few night shifts on top of my normal day work.. this means leaving work at 3 in the morning from time to time..

at work I'm getting run ragged..

my boys are playing tournaments at the weekends...

and to top it all, the mechanism on the door to the en-suite shower has cracked so I need to buy and install a new one...

appart from when I worked in Holland the other week I've only touched a guitar once in the last 6 weeks... and only spent a single night in my studio in the last 8 weeks...

right now I am seriously over commited and something has to give... and I think it's my sanity that will give out first.. lol...

I do want to jam with you.. but life is not being too kind to me right now... so I'm not even getting time to jam with me...

at this rate I will definately die before my album is done.. 1 day every lots of weeks is not helping me...

as soon as I can sort it I will...

mikey - thanx bro that'll be awesome...
stace - I have scissor scars and I have been on fire many times..

that research stuff is obviously true..

I'm surprised that no one had any good audition stories after my little rant. You must have much better luck than I.

TASTEY - Thanks, that explains the increasing facination my wife has for the Mariners and BBQ ing.

CLARKY - "so I'm not even getting time to jam with me..." I hope were talking guitars!!!

Heloo Toall! this is Borak from Antipolo City philippines I am a good fan of Joe Satriani. And I admire his guitar playing is there somebody has a tab of "surfing with the alien" because it is the song i want to perform because of the wizardness applied by Mr. Joe. By the way I like guitar playing and I truly love it. I Wish someday I will have a band and have an album with inspiration to music. Thank You for reading. Bye!

Man that sucks- only 3 aftershow winners for each G3 show on Vai.com. Three!! I know that the guys don't want to be pestered and hassled a lot, but I think that's a bit poor, especially bearing in mind they don't come over the pond so often.
