hi joe

loong time since i've wrote here :). still listing and to the dislike to my friends i play your music whenever i get a chance hehe :).

here's a thought for you .....there have been build a new opera house in copenhagen and there were spared no $$$. it opens 15.jan 2005. my thought is of course to see you play there :). It should have state of the art acustics. Many of us might not the the bigest oprea fans but we all love a good sound setting....and to have you play there with optimal sound settings would be just over the top :). i must admit i have no clue if they intend to have orther than classic music and oprea's there, but seeing orther great classic music halls being used for rock and pop events. i just thought "what the heck" it can't hurt to fly the idea :)

just my 2 cents :)

Steve Wilde what is the circle of ffth's pattern? it´s a pentatonic or what?, or you are talking about that one that helps to know the tonality of a song?

Saxplayer,

How are yuh, and how's life in Moscow?

I checked Vai's site, new look, chromed JEM now for sale....gee, I wonder where he got that idea?

Vai's a great player, Satch, however, I feel so closely to my soul...I can listen to Joe all day long...he's got just the right combination of blues, rock, soul, taste...to me Satch is the All Time greatest.

That's why I'm here....Joe's music brought me here.

I will be seeing Joe's student in NY in March, got good seats, and will enjoy Steve's performance, and respect his talents!

I'm even planning to perform myself at this years Jemfest in Orlando this Spring.

Any way, enough of my jiberish....what's wid you?

Peace, Steve

Stevie... If I Close My Eyes Forever

Come to think of it, I wish Ozzy did a duet with Kim Wilde, I can hear their voices match better. But of course Kim was too "pop".

SteveeT.....I know exactly how you feel....I have a hard time listening to anything else. I damn near have to force myself to put something else in the CD player....

Master Neil......have a great B-Day man.....the 21st birthday in America is a banner year because it's the legal drinking age. It's supposed to be a monumental occasion, but the only thing you soon find out is that you never have enough $$$ to go out drinking every night....lol ! Happy Birthday...and don't forget to let someone else (sober) drive you around while you celebrate.

Hey Joe, I'm curious about something,, At any time in your career have you recorded a jingle for any type of commercial? Television or Radio? If so please describe. Congrats on the new chrome guitar, I am looking forward to seeing it, it sucks that people steal things that don't belong to them, But soon in the near future all crime and wickedness will be done away with and people will live peacefully together as people were meant to live.

Again thanks Joe for being an inspiration, Get well, and keep up the good work.

Hadley- It's a harmonic. But you need to depress the bar before you do the harmonic, that is why you need your left hand to do that , and also to touch the string at the harmonic point ( left thumb). Then slowly let the bar come back up, so you raise the pitch of the harmonic. That's how I do it anyway. CLARKY can tell you for sure, he's the.... mmm ... he's good!

Hey Joe, I really enjoy your newest cd. I work 10 or so hours a day and when I get to work I put in the head phones and sail away all day long. I have always had the desire to play guitar but as I grew up in a VERY conservative family I started my music career with piano. Then in H.S. I played the Trumpet untill I finished college. It was when my son wanted to take guitar lessons that I finally got the chance to play. I have two guitars. 1 is a Ibanez PF 6 string and the other is a electric RG series. My question is.....when I played trumpet, 1 valve combination renders a certain note ( in most cases). But on the guitar there are so many ways to play the same chord and many ways to play the same note on different strings and this all seem so strange and wild to me. If you could tell me one thing to practice so I could get the most out of learning the fret board and when to be where at the right time, what would that be. Right now I play you songs by picking by ear with a lot of trial and a whole lot more of error. Any help would be appreciated. Keep on rocking! The Wiz

HI Joe, I was just wondering about how you approach new and old music. How do you discover new bands and artists? Do you ever wander around a record store browsing, do you search online, do your friends bring stuff to your attention? Also, how often do you revisit your old favourite recordings? It's pretty obvious Jimi's albums are close at hand, but do you ever get the urge to just stick something like A Night At The Opera on just to listen to?

Cheers, James B
