TASTEY: Yup, they were around in the late 80's-early 90's. They actually are still playing some shows in Texas, and Louisiana. I saw them with Cinderella at the House of Blues in New Orleans summer 02' killer show.

Do the Stu What bass do you have?
Big News! VAi may be doing music work for Halo 2
In the recent Game Informer with a virtual Vin Disel on the cover, it says,
Quote:
With a deal with the devil in one hand, and a guitar in the other, guess who walked into Bungie Studios? Steve Vai. Could it be that the crossorads foil/Frank Zappa under-study, and former David Lee Roth axe man is recording some music for Halo 2? Still our money is on Ralph Macchio.
This can be found on page 25.

eta - No, I don't download music by any bands whose income relies on record sales. I am very anti-piracy. I'll buy the album. Which is the best one?

Ya Yo Gakk - Maybe Dr. Dre was played over the PA before the Stones took the stage, and that's what the intro thing is referring to. If so, don't judge the band because of it. Would it be fair to put Dream Theater in a bad light because of the trash can drum solo mumblefest with a guy that sounded like a cross between Oscar The Grouch and Animal that was played before they went onstage with Satch in 2002?
By the way, does anyone know what song that was?
ovation1 - LOL...I'm a turncoat? ;-) I've been an Aerosmith fan longer than I've been a Satch fan, and I have ALWAYS loved the look of the JPLP. I haven't played a JPLP or a JS1000, so my opinion wasn't based on much. There's still hope...hehe.
jelly man - Satch's anthology will be released in the UK on January 32nd. ;-)
Seriously, I have no idea. I can't believe it's taking so long for you guys to get it.
962 - I remember reading in an interview that Joe would record guitar tracks onto a computer and send them to Eric, who would in turn really mess around with them in Pro Tools and then send them back to Joe.
Joe very well could have done this part of the album while he was on tour. He cut the solos at home, though.
The Prez - I have a Fender Stu Hamm Urge II (Awesome!) and a low-end Washburn (Very cool!).
SupaaDave - Here you go.

The NAMM experience was great! The two hour wait to get in a see Joe perform for the Peavy Amp folks was well worth the wait. Joe was very personable, as always, and it was great to be up close for his playing. And the amp sounds pretty good to.
Thx for the mini-show Joe!

ANYWAYS PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW. Oh, by the way in the latest issue of Guitar World and they do a full page review on the DVD and CD. And let me tell you it's not as pro-G3 as I thought it would, but anyways check it out, and Satch, Vai, Yngwie and John Petrucci all made there list of best metal guitarists.
