Burly, I agree. Automatics don't belong in the homes of civilians. No reason for it. That's all I'm sayin'.

Roo, me mum used to sit and nap when we were kids, and when we'd tell her she was sleeping, she'd always say she was just resting her eyes. lol! Good memories.

SuperSwingDog, they did use the JS1200 as the foundation, that will be the $6,000 guitar you can buyhere...
IDK why they bothered with the other one... I guess they look the same from afar so for the broke ass punks like me the cheap one would be an alternative... I wouldn't buy it cuz the hardware is cheap, though... And, 'cuz I'm left handed...

Tracie, Dave Weiner has a new album coming up, he just came to M.I. for a clinic and he played three songs from it... It was pretty cool... He didn't have names for the songs yet and I can't remember him saying anything about a release date, but it's recorded already just like Chickenfoot!

Ape..Another lefty? I couldn't imagine playing left handed being right handed like Alan,..and he plays very well.

Scubadaz There are actually PADI classes here but I WILL NOT dive in water where I cannot see. I want to go to Cozumel. But you know I have 3 fears in this life: Snakes, Tornadoes and wading over knee deep in the ocean. I think if the water was clear and I could see what was about to take a bite of me I would be OK.

Hi Joe, well I will skip the obvious (OMG YOU RULE) I was at the 2008 Toronto Concert and i must say... It was such a great pleasure seeing you play live... Ur much taller then i thought :). And wow.. your hands look like rubber when you play (Cool 9 Live Sweep) Ive been watching all your interviews and i got your Satchurator but for some reason i cant seem to do a lot of the harmonic fun you do on stage. I figured out how to do your Scream but any tips on how to make the harmonics last longer.

I am playing an Ibanezs7320 hooked up to a Spider II Line 6 30 watt amp.

Also if you dont mind you get alot of feedback when you play... as in you get the feedback but then manipulate it to your needs. Yet i cant get the feedback to do the same things (looking at what note your playing and copying it onto my guitar)

Thanks for your help and PLEASE Come to Toronto again :) This time i am gonna come meet you!!! (get my guitar signed :)

hey burly, i was just reading your message about rifles. you know the thing is that only a tiny percent of people abuse guns. it does not make sense to take things away from everyone because a few people can't use them properly. it is sad of course but that person could just as easily killed people with a car, like happened in santa monica california a few years ago. that guy was an old guy who was unable to drive a car the correct way and we did have a short discussion about banning older drivers, but we didn't because the vast majority of older drivers can use their cars safely. now as for the true purpose of that type of weapon, yes it is designed to kill, just like every other gun. but i (as does the supreme court) put to you that the reason for the second amendment is not for the sole purpose of hunting and sporting rights but is for the security of our nation. in a disaster, natural or otherwise, these types of guns can help protect individuals and communities from the lawless and from the tyrant. remember what a certain progressive dictator of the thirties did. first took the guns away, second eliminated or enslaved his enemies.

Roo:- Regarding vibrato technique:"Play what you feel and feel what you play". If you can hear what you want to sound like in your own mind, and if you can let your heart and soul pick up on it, your vibrato will come naturally. This is a clip of me just dickin' around at my mates place which should show you what i'm talking about. Hope it helps. C'MON AUSSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cosmic_ape, that's good news also, I knew both Dave and Vinnie were each working on a new cd but was kinda fading away waiting for them to come out.....they just need to hurryitupatitch!! :)

oh oh, chelle has started the Weiner chant....now it's stuck in my wee fuzzy head.....but I always put the emphasis on the "ner" part of his name...u know...wei-NER!! wei-NER!! wei-NER!!

It'd be cool if someone had video of Dave playing those new songs.

Mc, I'm not sure exactly what Steve was trying to prove in that vid you posted, other than the fact that his tongue moves as fast as his fingers :| He can play alright, no doubt about that...but....it wasn't exactly what I'd call musical! Just show-offy. Whereas Joe goes into this coooool blusey thing just as that vid ends....now THATS music!!
