satriella - the santa rosa address is the last one i got so i'd go with that:
Joe Satriani Music
PO Box 2830
Santa Rosa, CA 95405

do the stu - the big bad wah telephone bit was at joe's and the others (time machine, satchurator, big bad garagedoor opener) were all done at the coop (sam's studio) after a day of shooting footage for the next chickenfoot video. :}

thehawkguy - satriani.com work is put a bit on hold while we focus on chickenfoot. i'm sure when we have a break in chickenfoot we'll think about satriani.com redesign again :}

Well, all this talk has really stirred my creative juices and got me up off my lazy unmotivated butt and I managed to finish my song today.

But my only problem is that I am having really serious trouble mixing it down and keeping any volume, I have to turn it up waaay high and that makes it buzz really bad.

I am still working on it but I am using Cakewalk Sonar as my prime mixer in case anyone has any suggestions.

Facebook can be a STRANGE place sometimes. Sometimes "very small" boys and "very small" girls (although I think girls less so--biased me!) get surly and act out their surliness by name-calling. What else is new??? Anyone who calls someone an effing "abnormal person" drags his/her own name (e.g., Doyle) through shit, the gutter, the sewer! So very sad this.

There are the bright lights that make Facebook attractive and you guys know who you are and what you are made of.......let the music play!

A top of a Sunday morning to all.

I am enjoying Ethiopian coffee. Tomorrow morning is Irish Breakfast tea morning! The Irish castles are so beautiful and hopefully they have some soft furnishings inside. Although, I wouldn't mind a rest on a haystack with an equine buddy eating breakfast nearby. These horses sure have huge noses and it's startling and kinda funny at the same time to get sniffed, checked out by such a big beast! LOL! What great memories I have of my Palomino mare friend! Now I'm just a city woman, married to the sweetest man in the world!

More blue, more blue!!

Satch on drums wasn't half bad. He did better than Sammy. Thanx for the vid!

Bluebuffalo: have you seen any shows in Tahoe? Not sure how the Chickenfoot shows will go but the last few Sammy shows have had real sucky crowds. Too many drunks and too much bs going on with pushing and shoving and little to no security. Hope it goes better for the CF shows.

have a great day all!

michelle - Yeah...Friday was hangover day. It was a former co-worker's birthday Thursday night, so a bunch of us went out to celebrate. We all drank so much they gave us a free round of shots at one point...haha! It was nice.

And I live within walking distance of the bar I went to, so as for the question of who will drive? No idea! ;-)

Ethn Hayabusa - Interesting to see you don't care for much on NOTE...if I had to guess I would've said that's an album you listen to a lot.

And you don't like Flavor Crystal 7? That's my No. 2 on EOC (behind Champagne?).

Skippygirl - "I go away for a weekend and there's pages of posts to catch up on."

Of course! You aren't allowed to leave...didn't someone tell you?

Hey Joe,

I am a high schooler from Westchester County, NY. I started playing guitar a year and a half and have started a band with my buddy, a bassist currently looking for a singer and a drummer. As silly as it sounds, I am pretty much the best guitarist with just my knowledge of reading music and my fluid soloing skills like legato, sweeping, tapping, and string skipping. I am very shy and I wanna try to connect with the audience. Do you have any suggestions?

Also I am a totally gear freak. I own some stuff and my mom says i earned through hard work and practice. I realized that gear in guitarland is expensive and I am wondering if you went through the same thing when you were playing early on.

Do you have any advice for a kid like me?

Don1963, I've never been to Lake Tahoe period. I've been to Jackpot Nevada which is on the NE corner of the border. Complete Opposite of where the concert is. My wife and I are making a B-day road trip with an order of Chickenfoot for dinner. I stay sober for concerts, this way I can remember them in moments of reflection and such. Since I stay sober I'm able to maintain a level head and and make sure the drunks puke on their own shoes. lol.

bluebuffalo: I've never been to Tahoe myself, but I know that Sammy has a Cabo Wabo at Harvey's, so I was assuming that he had a huge fan base there. Maybe they are just a quiet, laid back group of people. That would be fine with me.

I will be sober there with you. Nothing pisses me off more at a concert than someone who has had way too much of something intoxicating. I remember the Chickenfoot gig in Seattle, I missed all of 'Learning to Fall' because some prick was trying to push his way to the front of an already overcrowded audience the whole time that the song was playing. At least a couple security dudes jumped over the gate and sent that guy on his way. To top it off, throughout the whole show, I had Mr. forceful headbanger next to me, and he would randomly start bouncing off the people around him, trying to start moshing. No matter how good the band you're seeing is playing, unruly folks can ruin an entire show for me. Luckily in Seattle, I was about 10 feet from Joe, so in between being bounced off of and pushed, I was in heaven!

Sammy opened the Cabo Wabo in Lake Tahoe in 2004...he originally wanted one in Las Vegas, but that planning didn't work out.

For at least as long as that Cabo Wabo has been open, he's played shows in Lake Tahoe on Cinco de Mayo weekend. So I'm sure he has a sizeable fanbase that looks forward to shows there, but being a resort town I'm sure there are also a lot of tourists.

I'm expecting a few more die-hards and a few more drunk people, but other than that it should be a fairly "normal" show. I think if we're there early, we'll be close enough to where the experience will be just like any other show.
