Speaking of Hammet, Metallica is hopefully coming out with a new album soon. You can hear part of their new song on a video at their website.

So when i get the DiMarzio's, should a get a F-Spaced Fred at the bridge and the PAF Pro at the neck?

Narface: I use stainless steel picks. The "Chirp" a bit, and wear out strings even worse. I use fender "abalone" picks now. heavys. I tried the whippy picks for a while...ended up with better pinch harmonics with the heavy picks. Back in 1980 I went to a Triumph concert. I tossed a stainless steel pick up on stage just before their "Blinding light show" Number. When the brought down the lights(physically) to the stage floor, Mike Lavin saw the pick glareing up at him. To My supprise, he picked it up and played his (Bass) solo with it.!!!!!!! I had made a necklace for Ric Emmett, and had a girl Place it on the stage so'os Ric could find it. Erlyer, some one had trown a beer bottle at the Backup band and seriously hurt the guitarist. I made sure that the band was at the far sides of the stage before I had it chucked up on stage. Ric May still have that necklace......Please, don't try this at home...or a concert now! Have you tried rock picks. made of several different minerals. Back in the 70's The Burns brothers used bread clips for picks...in a pinch. Joe: I glad the fans are being more positve here on the site...I was worried for a while. GB KTF

Sharon: that´s a funny story LOL LOL ...As a matter of fact, is that story true? lol...

Dave Grusca: that´s cool brother!!!...about your wife's grandparents..

Regarding the Kirk Hammet thing: I could hear Joe's influence on this guy: a lot of wah wah solos, and every thing...and not only him, there are a whole bunch of guitar players out there who are trying to emulate what Joe does with hid guitar playing.

This is the music that I'm currently listening to right now: SBM of course, Faith no more (Jim Martin is a fantastic guitar player, damn) and the Violent femmes...

Ethn - No prob man. Glad I could help.

Phryg Dom - Hey no prob man. If you still want the whole section scanned, let me know. I will when I get some time.

Gruskada - That's awesome man. You should play Hill Groove for them. I'm sure they'd like that. I guess they would like almost half the album but maybe not the whole thing. Who knows, maybe we're in for a suprise. LET ME KNOW what they think when they hear more. I'd like to know what they think of "Thinking of You" ... gotta be one of my all time faves.

This more of a suggestion than a comment, but I think Joe should do the national radio show Loveline to help promote his new tour and his new CD, not that he would need to because it's REALLY good...

Quantum- Ya, now that I look at it again it dose sortta look like a Cry Baby. But, to me, the wah look's abnormally large! That's why I thought it was an Ernie Ball wah. It's an honest mistake! lol But if you have any other questions ask!!

I haven't even heard of the Norton. I actually haven't ever bought an aftermarket pickup before. I just a got a JS100 a couple of days ago, so i am going to put the DiMarzio's on there. I'm thinking about getting EMG's for my old B.C Rich.

navlag, welcome aboard :) I think you will find that most everyone in here can be very interesting and quite informative! Ask a question of any kind and I'm sure someone can answer it....

As a matter of fact, I have one tonight.

Does anyone have a good link to some "Satch" tabs? I cant seem to get to Gates of infinity anymore, dont know why. What I'm really looking for is tabs for "Devil's Slide"....I finally convinced the band to do a few instrumentals. I was curious if tabs for LISF were ever created. Thanx......Dave

Sweep Pick --- no problem! LOL! i think i know what you mean cos the wah pedal does look a little larger; in fact, i believe it's mounted on something else, accounting for its apparent increase in size.

Dear Joe, Greetings, this is Sgt. Gabe Grantham of the Florida Army National Guard. I just wanted to say that the new album Strange and Beutiful Music is HIGH SPEED, LOW DRAG. I was curious as to when and if you were going to make it to Gator Country in support of this album? I did not get a chance to see you for the last G3 tour, I think I was on federal active duty for airport security. I had tickets to the 1st G3 tour for a show in Denver but I had duty that evening. I was stationed in Colorado Springs at Ft. Carson. Anyway I had found out later that night (about 30 minutes before the show started) that I could've gone to the show. What a bummer! It seems that every time you're in town something else comes up like, I don't know, someone chunkin' a perfectly good airplane into a perfectly good building. But oh well, what are ya gonna do? Hope to catch you on this tour.

Respectfully yours, Gabe Grantham www.mp3.com/ggandtheflatfour
