Just home from Cleveland. Between 2:30 and 1 am yesterday, Frank Marino played for 7.5-8 hours covering between 40 and fifty songs from his repertoire with a few Hendrix covers thrown in for good measure. At 56 Frank is a beast, playing better than ever with a tone of the gods..... Lifetime memories were made.... The man is a beast

The show started promptly at 8. Ned played, then Joe played for 2 hours. If the train isn't to far away, you should make it no problem.

GoGi, I'm not ready for anything! lol! I'll have about 25-30 people up in here on Christmas eve. It gets nuts! So much cleaning, wrapping, BUYING, card writing - you name it, it ALL has to be done yet. Noooo, nowhere near ready! Also the busiest time at work, and with that kickin' my butt...um...not ready! lol!

T, thanks for the Philly vids! There was one security guy, a shoulder tappin' camera nazi, he's there every time. No reason to be all up on people like that. Prolly the reason a lot of vids haven't popped up yet? A guy like that would come in real handy at a heavier show, and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but to much of a powertripper. I mean, I love for Joe to have protection if needed, but it's just cameras ferchristsake.

I think Joe's magic was in his purple kicks!

Joe, I am attending the December 20th show in Kansas City. I am bringing my 15 year old son with me. It is his first concert. To say my son is excited is an extreme understatment. To say I am excited is an extreme understatement. I am so proud of him for choosing your show to be his first concert experience. We have 3rd row seats and he and I anticipate a night that we will both remember forever. Is there any way my son can meet you either before or after the show? I hesitate to ask as I know it's asking a lot. But I just want to make my son's first concert experience as memorable as possible. Either way, thank you for coming to Kansas City once again Joe, and thank you for the many years of truly great music.

Huge fans, Ken Harris (Dad) Pearse Harris (Son) kharris99@yahoo.com

Montréal kicked all ass! They blew the roof offa the dump! The fans were absolutely ape-shit... should be a great DVD. Joe had Mike playing his keys with his teeth at one point! I guess there were "technical difficulties" at the start of the show, so after Summer Song they came out for a 2nd encore... Ice 9 again! Joe apologized for playing it twice but I don't think anyone was complaining. When it was clear they were coming out for another encore I was half-expecting a real treat, some rare oddity, My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama maybe or something exotic like that.

Easily one of the best Joe shows I've ever seen, this band REALLY play well together. Allen was nailing it, Galen was spot-on, Jeff is ALWAYS right on time and fun and playful, Keneally was just the best. Wearing a Residents tee he was having a LOT of fun. Of course Joe is always just pure perfection.

I didn't stay after the show because it was absolutely POURING frikkin' rain. I waited in the car for about 20 minutes to see if it was going to let up but it just never did, and with 3+ hours of white-knuckle freezing-rain driving ahead of me I just gave up the ghost and hit the road.

Thank you Joe! Thank you Mike! Thank you Allen! Thank you Galen! Thank you Jeff! Truly a phenomenal show. Can't wait to see the video evidence.

smooches,
» Phy³

I was at the show in Montreal Qc (Canada) last night and it was amazing! The show was full of all the songs we wanted to hear and you were incredible as always. The band was so tight and as always it was a generous show, 3 hours. I love the interaction with the crowd and the two (three) encores which were so big. Great show Joe. See you agin soon.

Michelle: Andelusia was frickin amazing. I love how he used his acoustic guitar this time around, unlike the last tour when he just used his electric the whole time. I just wish he played Wormholes, but it was still an awesome show. I wished it would have never ended.

Watched the Chickenfoot DVD last night. The album comes across MUCH better live. I have the CD in the "good background music for a BBQ" category being that it has some good tunes and is generally non-offensive. But the DVD really made the songs come alive. A lot more energy which, incidentally, is one thing I miss from Joe's current CD. It just kida sits but never really gets my blood flowin. Hoping the same thing happens for Wormhole and the concert has some ooomph to it.

Joe,

I was just wondering if you would think it would be lame to get a demo CD from a fan. What would you do with it?
