Suzie, so whereabouts is the house that you're moving to?
Delfino, you're biggest problem is that you have already decided to be scared by the occasion! Don't be......think about it and think over how you want everything to go....even think over what you will say, if you like, and you will absolutely f*ck*ng love it! If you're not wasting time being worried, you will be playing better, you will look like you're enjoying it, and you will get a better response from your audience!
kiwibassman, I'd personally love to see Andy Timmons on G3, especially for a show that gets filmed! I'd like to see Eric Johnson on it again. also, Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt and Jennifer Batten would all be pretty awesome as the 3rd 'G'.
NammMan, yeah Franks Genius will never be replaced. I personally think that he and BB King are probably the 2 most important people in contemporary music history.
PERICO, about the show-attendance list; For each show, a few backstage passes and aftershow passes will be won, but these can only be won by people who have, like you, put their name down for a show they are going to. The winning selection is entirely random, so it certainly doesn't guarantee you a win, but if you don't put your name on the show-attendance list, there's no chance of winnign at all!
The winning names for each show are put up here on Joe's site, but the winners will also be e-mailed! Good luck!
Zenfish, a good part of Nuno's technique comes from Page and VH? What? man I disagree entirely. I think a good part of Nuno's technique comes from Nuno being f*ck*ng ace. He spent 10 years drumming before he played a guitar, so that's why his rhythm playing is the best in the business. He's a musician, not just a guitarist, and he did all the brass and string arrangements and piano parts on anything he's been involved in, so transferring the characteristics of those different instruments to guitar was hardly difficult.

civgeek lol thats a good point about the turkey. :-)
Well today I have to "transform" much ado about nothing into a short story written in the style of another writer...so I've chosen to do it in the style of Thomas Harris (The Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon..etc)...I can't remember the word limit though on this so I'm going to write it upto 1500 words and if it needs lengthening then I can add sections that I previously took out :-)
Word limits stifle creativity in my opinion...

go karting in greasy-wet conditions is fun, especially when your light in weight like me, sliding all over the place, and with the rest of the staff on the track too :)

Hey folks, for anyone remotely interested, I have uploaded an update of The Eye Of Ra! I've done a quick remix and EQ of everything, so the hihat is no longer dominant and the track fits together just a little better. I now need to EQ the snares tho, cuz they're really tinny on the MP3! ARRRGGGGHH!

Find it there!

OSteve__ Zappa was genius of jazzrock. Hi. Satriani was influenced by the power of bluesjazzrock god hendrix.
#962__ Ra has eastern vibe coming from minds of rock genius Egyptian blackmore. Contradiction is the style of jazzbase player. It is alright.
Clarkey___ Japan yes yes. Jazzmetal is the genius of EVH.

Suzie - I've always liked the Harpi over the piano. My daughter's teacher has a Harpi that she had built for her. It is absolutely beautiful, and sounds nice too!! Tierney, my oldest, loves to play it. The teacher is very good about picking songs from the different eras that were writtin for the Harpi so that the students get practice on it. She's pretty cool. Keep us updated on the new digs.

Zenfish,
In response to where musical influences come from....
Yes, I certainly trace many of mine back through blues, but from a larger view, I believe we all are tied to our creation.
The beat of our mother's heart while in her womb, the beat of our own hearts, the beating of the war drums, the rhythm of our daily lives & the planets & ultimately the Universe.
A one & A two, 3......4.............
Peace, Love & Happiness!
