LITTLE FIREFIGHTER
If you don't laugh at this one, you're not breathing …. .
A firefighter was working on the engine outside the Station, when he noticed
a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and
a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.
The girl was wearing a firefighter’s helmet.
The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat.
The firefighter walked over to take a closer look.
'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the firefighter said with admiration.
'Thanks,' the girl replied. The firefighter looked a little closer. The girl had
tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.
'Little partner,' the firefighter said, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your
rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go
faster. '
The little girl replied thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but
then I wouldn't have a siren.'

I feel very bad for the cat - OUCH !!
With the email that I received the story in, a picture of a cat was at the end of the story - cat was either yawning or crying (nothing tied to the cat).

Zinc Master - good one!
Joe - welcome home mate
All US (and Canadian?) peeps - happy thanksgiving thing. I spoke this morning with a friend who moved from Melbourne to Princeton and she said there is a 4 day weekend there, and people are sending round nice little "thank you for being my friend" written messages and they are all really heartfelt. She is doing her first Thanksgiving dinner tonight and then going to NY for the weekend *sigh* sounds like fun.

Okay, how bout we get a Christmas wish list of new music going up in here! A LOT of great music came out this year. List what you got and how much you like/dislike it, or what you'd like to see under yer tree for Christmas. DVD's too! They don't have to be from 2010 - whatever, from whenever!
#1 - the obvious - Joe Satriani - Black Wizards cd - hands down the best cd to come out this year, last year, and prolly the year before. lol!
#2 - Godsmack - The Oracle cd - absofuckinlutely kickass Godsmack in all their glory! Chunky, yet satisfying!
#3 - aaaaanything Davy Knowles & the Back Door Slam. The kid is flippin' brilliant!
#4 - Sully Erna - Avalon cd - a very personal cd with beautiful lyrics, melodies, and vocals.
#5 - Carole King & James Taylor - Live at the Troubadour cd/dvd - two of the best music makers of our time.
#6 - Michael Jackson - This Is It dvd - the dude was simply brilliant.
#7 - Disturbed - Asylum cd/dvd - great cd, and a Dimebag tribute on the dvd.
#8 - RHCP - Live at Slane Castle dvd - not new but a great dvd to have. Dudes have sooo much friggin energy!!
#9 - The Bombastic Meatbats - Meet The Meatbats, and More Meat - two of the funkiest cd's in my collection. Absolutely love them both!
#10 - Chickenfoot - if you don't have it yet...wtf? lol!
NEXT!!

A few more of this year's releases to add...
- Dave Weiner - On Revolute - Shame on you, michelle, for forgetting this one...it actually might top BSAWW for my album of the year.
- John Butler Trio - April Uprising - I've talked about this band a lot here, they're a funky roost/rock trio from Australia. This album is their most eclectic/varied, so it's a good introduction to their different sounds.
- Andy McKee - Joyland - This guy is a slap guitarist...you've probably seen his video for Drifting on YouTube. When I went to New York earlier this year to see Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton at Madison Square Garden, I was also able to catch Andy's CD release gig at a club a few days later. JB and EC were great, but in many ways Andy's show was more exciting.
- John Lennon - remasters - John's solo catalog was remastered and re-released this year, in several forms--individual CDs, one-CD greatest hits, four-CD greatest hits set, and 11-CD box set of his main discography. I have the big box set, but get what you think you'll like...the four-CD set is a great value for the money (72 songs for less than $30 at Amazon).
...Austin...

Austin, I forgot about Weiner because my hubs took off with the cd almost as soon as I bought it! I've actually only heard it a few times. lol! Yer right - add it to the list! Also bought John Lennon - Power To The People, The Hits - not realizing it had almost all the same songs on as Shaved Fish, which I also have :-/ Just grabbed it when I saw it about 2 months ago.
Watching the Slane Castle dvd now. My fav vid :-) Great energy. Great dancing! Great drum/bass riffs.

Seeing Michael Jackson's name (so blame Conch for this! lol) again reminded me of the old joke.....
What's the difference between Michael Jackson and a grocery bag?
One is made of plastic and is dangerous for kids to play with, the other is used to carry shopping.
