Joe....any reason why you are skipping Winnipeg on your current tour? I took my sons to see you the last time you were here and we are hoping to see you again live.

Yes, the JS VOX AMPLUG does fit the JS line. Since the output jack on the JS line has a slight angle to it, the unit has to face outwards.

I just got the JS2400 a couple weeks ago and together they work beautifully. It's an incredible combination. I especially like the way the high-pass filer on the volume pot (on the guitar) works with the gain on the amplug.

You have to see it to believe it !!! JS VOX AMPLUG

I own the "Lead" Vox Amplug. And it wasn't very hard to get a sound out of it resembling the sound in the promo vid for the JS Amplug. They don't differ very much. And since the JS Amplug is expensive (€49) for such a small one trick device and I don't really need one I think I can resist my GAS. And owning the Satchurator and Ice9 why another..... etc etc

I do recommend an Amplug to new (often young) guitar students who want to start playing electric but can't afford to buy an electric guitar and amplification at the same time. It's one of the cheapest options to be able to start on electric. Using their MP3 players headphones or hooking up the line out to their stereo set. And if a little more budget they can get the very versatile Digitech RP55 or the Line6 Pocket Pod for €59

Hi Joe, PLEASE HELP!!!

I know this isn't a direct question regarding your music but it is extremely relevent to all fans who are also dedicated musicians! I heard Flying In A Blue Dream when I was in my early teens and experienced exactly what you described happening to you when you first heard Jimi Hendrix. I immediately knew that I NEEDED to play guitar and for that I truly owe you my deepest gratitude for the rest of my life! As you have always been extremely generous with your advice to guitarists and your music is largely responsible for me embarking on my journey as a musician, I was hoping you could shed some light on how you avoid repetitive strain injuries while forging your physical technique and performing every night while on tour. I have always practised a lot over the last 20 years but have rarely managed to strain anything but I recently developed minor pain in my fretting ring finger tendon practising legato. Medical advice was anti-inflammatories/no playing at all. I have since healed but I need to insure that it doesn't happen again. I teach guitar for a living so if I can't play I can't eat! I have been reading several books on the subject but any personal advice to all of us on how you avoid injury while maintaining your olympic level finger fitness would be appreciated beyond words! Thanks!

Sincerely,

Jason

PS - I can't wait to see your show when you head through Calgary, Alberta in January! Thanks for that in advance!!!!!!!

Jason:

Years back I recall seeing a 'glove' at my local music store. I don't recall the name, but it was a spandex type glove (fingers missing) that guitarists wore due to tendonitis of the hand and fingers, from lots of playing. The glove squeezed in the hand mildly for greater comfort and less pain. A local music equipment retailer may be able to help you track down such an item.

Hi Everyone:

Hope you all are well. Last week I ran the Veterans Marathon and I made the cutoff to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I'll be heading to Boston in 2012 because it's sold out for 2011.

Earlier today, I did a 5K Run and this was on trails. I managed to get my best time there (19 min. & 6 sec.), and finished in the top 10, plus came in 1st in my Age Division. My award, a pie (rhubarb strawberry); YUM!

I have one more race/run on December 18th and it's the Huff 50K (Ultramarathon). I did it last year and it was quite a challenge. Last year's time was 5 hours & 11 minutes, so the goal would be to break 5 hours.

Skippygirl: Good for you on the CDs.

Joe, hope all is well for you.

Grant
