JOE--Thank you for letting your fans know about your mom's illness and passing. I could feel the love you have for your mother when you answered questions in an interview about where you came from and who influenced you/set the musical foundation for your future as a guitarist. I think it was on You Tube, Living Legends. Very autobiographical. I remember you speaking about your Mother playing piano and you and your brother banging on the piano playfully as kids. You didn't see the piano as "your" instrument maybe, but you looked up to your Mother and must have enjoyed watching and hearing her play. No one and nothing can take those memories of her away.....You are so blessed, Joe. I love you for who you are and for sharing your music and bio with us. Thank you.

Joe, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. My own mother passed away 2 weeks before Christmas about 10 years ago. I'm very glad your mother was surrounded by those she loved, and that she wasn't in pain. Cancer claims too many of us, far too young. I was devastated to hear that Ronnie James Dio was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. I sure hope we find a cure. Every single one of us is with you.

Joe....

I am so sorry to hear about your mother...

Your pain is in my heart as I think of you!!

I thought this poem was nice...I hope as the last line implies that your mum will live on in your music.

You were my mother and my friend,
Which was unusual.
Somehow our characters still blend:
Your wisdom and my will.
I turned, and you were there for me;
I spoke, you understood.
I felt cared for, but also free;
You loved, and I was good.

I'm fortunate that I was born
To someone just like you;
I love you still. Though you are gone,
You live in what I do.

big hugs Satriella xxx

Webmaster - does Joe have a PO Box where well wishers could send a card? For all the things Joe has done for all of us over the years, it seems that a message on the public forum isn't enough in this time of grief. It's such a tiny gesture, but it would sure mean a lot to me and I'm sure many others here. Thanks. Mark

Hey Joe.....

My Heart goes out to you......

Knowing the man you are or at least giving us fans a good insight as to who you are tells me your mum was a very caring and loving lady. As a parent myself, I know It starts with parenting and becomes up to the child to use this information to develop into a balanced man or women.

You're the Best Joe......

God Bless You and all of the Satriani family !!!!

Austin, my daughter was two weeks late and weighed in at 12lbs 6oz, looked like a butterball she did, now she is petite. My wife is quite proud of delivering that load au naturel with zero ripping or tearing.....

Perhaps TMI...but Kudos to your wife...Mikesb...shes my hero .lol

Everybody stay safe out there , this winter weather is treacherous. My niece was in an accident last night, an ugly one but she walked away with cuts and bumps.

And we have an Ice Storm warning for Tonight.......so yes..... we are all staying in. (where are my candles and thank God for the wood stove if the power goes)
