Hi, I'm a huge fan. I want to buy a meet & Greet ticket for the show at Mexico City at January 22 2011. Where do I buy it? In the ticketmaster Mexico doesn't says. I would love to have the chance to meet Joe! Please help.
I also like Chikenfoot, are you planning to come to Mexico City someday?

....Hello? is their anybudy`s home?.Hey man time change here clocks went back an hour for fall, so even though the seasons change it,s daylight early now but pitch black dark at night at about 5.30pm.Not too much going on apperently the tnt keeps going out The other day I went for a pretty cool ride man .The tire does something to you on that one ride all the time .Im just chilin doing the moring gigplayed with one of my cats! listen to tunes.It,s deer hunting season here you know man the sport is realy dyeing like deer hunting man theirs still the people that live off the meat but thats about it! anyways be glad when this hunting seasons ovr it,s will be safer in the wood`s anyways need to make coffee already took my multivitamins and minerals 8 am i take my medication the old tnt works amazing every moring I check it it has different fuel and different levels of gas my radio works good apperently It was up northern onatrio but buddy who knows the wilderness is the wilderenss you know i only come out for fuel later wolf2 desperately need more coffee wolfie.

hey guys!
First off Happy Aniversary Michelle - the show sounds incredible. I'm a massive fan of the theatre and lives shows of all kinds really. If it ever comes to the UK i'll keep an eye out for it coming to Birmingham :)
As the weather starts to become utter miserable here i'm relying on Joe's new (and old tbh lol) records to keep me going.
Though i was wondering if anyone has picked up the new Steve Lukather album? It's growing on me ALOT now lol, and i'm really getting into the guitar playing. It's so unique with tones of feel and character, just like our Joe.

This post is about Eventide's Mod Factor. A few on this board raved about it, so I spent my $500 and got it Saturday. Yesterday I put together, entitled How Odd, to showcase the pedal.

It's called How Odd for a reason. I applied about 12 of the 50 possible patches to a somewhat strange chord progression, many of which are odd sounding, pivoting over an E:

...If you don`t if knowowne tells anyone I will tell you what I use in it!.It use`s an XLH 7 Fury outboard marine corporation 305 block .The engine only runs in unplated metrics.It meant to be unplatedit,s for a boat with no licence! they only run in toltal metric capacity with no measurement!.It was just the block I put all my own engine parts in it! .My transmision is a hurst transmison i built here myself as well .The engine came from outboard marine in wisconsin by purolator just the block I gave the 305 chevy high output roller motor block to R+J MACHINE for nothing.their my friend`s.The old Z28 has just been well good! the engine i built .OUTBOAR MARINE CORPORATION AND THE TRANSMION IS HURST it only reads 9% of the milegae it,s traveled it sais i put 60 ,000 miles on the engine thats 9% of what it,s traveled with no licence anyways she runs nice hey girls you your wolf2 specil cars and bikes wolf2.

Greetings Everyone,
I am new to this site, and new to the music of Joe Satriani. How I stumbled upon him was not in the typical way. My interest was peaked not by his playing, but by his words. Allow me to explain.
In 1967 at the tender age of 12, I was forever changed when I heard Jimi Hendrix for the first time. Like millions of others, I was enthralled by what the man could do not only with music, but with lyrics as well. I started playing guitar because of him (I suck, but have a lot of fun anyway) My given name is James, so I changed the spelling from Jimmy to Jimi. My love for Hendrix knows no bounds and I've always measured every guitarist against him. No one has ever come close.
A few weeks ago I ran across a Guitar World special On Demand that featured Joe talking about the Experience Hendrix tour. Listening to him I could tell he shared the same reverence for Hendrix. He was putting into words the feelings I had always had about Hendrix, but could never adequately express. I kinda sat up and said "who is this guy?" I decided to find out.
I had, of course, heard of Joe over the years but (erroneously) had lumped him in with all of the other "shredders" that I avoid like the plague. To me, there is no feeling with shredding. And music is feelings deeply expressed. Tell me your story a note at a time.
In my research of Joe, I found that he has a great many albums out. Far more than I knew. So I figured the best way to get to know the man was to see where he came from. I bought his album " Not Of This Earth" and was more than pleasantly surprised. A week later, I decided to see how his latest offering compared. Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards is a positive delight.
So I will continue on my journey to "Know Joe", and since there are so many of his albums out, if anyone can recommend his best two or three, I would be most grateful.

@Far Rider- cool story, man. It's a great experience listening to Joe's music for the first time. I remeber at the beginning when I had a whole library I've never heard before. But now Iv'e heard almost all of them.
You might want to start from the beginning. You already heard "Not Of This Earth". Next is "Surfing With The Alien". That was the first one I listened to.
And later, when you get to Crystal Planet, let us know, because that is not only my favorite, but a lot of favorites around here.

Far Rider - Welcome!
Joe's most famous album is Surfing With The Alien, his second (right after NOTE, which you already have). Crystal Planet from 1998 is a favorite around here, as is the album Is There Love In Space? from 2004.
So I'd buy those three next, but you really can't go wrong with anything. Just be aware that the production on some of his older albums sounds kind of dated, with drum machines and the like. So don't let that scare you away.
You really can't go wrong with any of his albums, as I said, but I'd save the self-titled Joe Satriani album and Engines Of Creation for last. JS is a really bluesy album and EOC is a techno-influenced album. They're both really good, but they're very different from the rest of his catalog and might not be the best choice right away for a new fan (again, don't let that scare you away).
The live albums/DVDs are good too...go with either Live In San Francisco or Satriani Live!...

No complaints as it adds more depth to the sound. I never cared for the mod effects on my Pod system, as they seem either minor or the overall effect was not to my liking. But the Eventide is rather nice.

on a note of my own stupidity!
Joe I can not wait to see you on Dec the 7th in Cincinnati and I promise if I get lucky enough to get the aftershow passes again. Like I did in 07' at the G307 show. I will heed your advise that I stupidly ignored at the Taft Theater at the G307 show. I will turn on the flash so this time I get a good picture with you. Please ooh please!!

logic. i spend my time just piddling with the vibrato and rotary sounds but i am really digging the vibrato. i am starting to zero in on some of the classic 60's vibrato sounds i grew up with. as used by jimi and now joe. i am just now cracking the chorus and phaser.

...Hi man Work`s going good!.I work for KELLY timber`s he,s an old friend of mine who has a logging company.well I will tell you hes agood guy man well for the first few years I only got used when he needed a HUSQVARNA RUN operated bigger then a size 300 right thats chainsaw with about a 4 foot chain bar guside on it cutting trees 4 feet wide the bar was 4 and half feet wide.I got all the big timber jobs done then he didnt show to pick me up for a while no main saw work then he showed up and said how about some regular Logging! like we only use swden husqvarana and we haqve aBUSH robot it,s like a skidder for pulling out log big piece of equipment abush robot pulls them out full branchs all on and full length .I contacted a financial specialist place and I dont have to declare my timber or logging work!Bob is the owners name we go back to when I was 4 years old when i lived at lake ontario! i was in edmonton one pay sault saint marie been everywhere so far the only thing out of my dissabilty pension is the sprocket!i been working now for about 6 years full time im working pitch balck dark early moring for Bobbie anyways cigarette time stoke the fire it,s all cash hey man except the 330 internet thousand later wolf2330 being the saw wolfie.

I just saw a post on Facebook that legislation has been introduced in Texas that is supposedly similar to what Arizona is battling with the Fed's about right now (SB1070).
I haven't read any specifics yet, but I hope this doesn't mean another boycott; especially with shows already scheduled!
Anyway, I'm sure most of you have already heard, but Kenny Wayne Shepherd is scheduled to appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night. He will be playing the "Woodstock Strat" that Jimi Hendrix played during the Woodstock festival, and then the guitar will make its way to the Beacon Theater for the Experience Hendrix show where it will be passed around among those performing that night.
First time in over 40 years that guitar will have been played!! I know they are trying to "spread the word", but this is kind of sad I think. This guitar is a priceless price of art IMO, and it sure as hell shouldn't be taken out of the museum to be PLAYED by ANYBODY! EVER!
I wonder if Janie Hendrix has plastered the Authentic Hendrix Logo all over Jimi's guitar now that it is going out on tour.
