Hey Joe, thanks for giving me a signature on Queen St when you came to NZ. You came across as a really great guy and it was awesome to see you in concert. I have been a big fan for many years and would like to ask permission to animate one of your songs as a music video. I am an animation tutor at freelance art school in auckland new zealand, and there are a few satch fans here. They all have great talent and would love to animate to anything you have produced (except woodstock jam. Maybe too much wrist work). It would be really great if you could let me know if we are allowed. We aren't doing this as a commercial thing, but really wanting to pay homage to all of the great songs that you have given to us. If you want I can give you some samples of what has been done so far.

BigBunny, LOL, there are worst things than a fleetwood mac never ending song, have you tried a never ending song from Julio Iglesias?

any peavey fans out there, not amps though, but instrument fans, gurus would be even better, reason why, found a sweet almost 20 something old peavey fury bass, Made in the USA, it resembles much like a precision fender bass, has the old school peavey logo, maple fingerboard, nice yellowed pickguard, looks pretty good too, minor dings etc... appears to be left under someones bed past almost 20 years, its pretty immaculate, has a few bumps and bruises but show me a guitar without and its not worthy of having if your not going to play it IMHO, for its age I would say excellent plus, not mint but pretty close

it plays fairly well, the neck needs some tweaking, bass strings at pitch are very heavy tension and this necks slowly given in, the frets have zero wear practically, its more just storage nicks it seems, the glossy finish on the fingerboard is perfect, no typical sweat stains on most maple boards of this age, the frets in the upper register still have the clear mostly on them from the finishing, thats how clean this guitar is, I just doubt that truss rods been turned in probably 15+ years, the strings are old but pretty punchy still, someone just stored this for a long time, lucky me

pawnshop had no idea what this is, i got it for 125, added in a 20 watt ibanez soundwave bass amp perfectly sized for an apartment for another 50 and 175 out the door it was all mine, i love new guitar day, i been wanting a thumper, i got one, compared to what the bay had to offer, this is hands down 20 times better condition wise, the bay ones have wood showing, missing knobs, all had some moderate fret wear, and stained worn down maple fingerboards finish wise, I did good on this one for the same price these basses command on the bay

so is there any peavey gurus around here by chance? not much info on the web, i took good pictures and shot email off to the peavey general info email address, we shall see what response i get, the neck pocket is dated jun 26 1989 I believe, hard to tell, some worker used red marker and initialed it covering part of the month, so its either jan or jun, I think its a u under the marker, and then the neck screw hole wound up being drilled right smack in the middle of the year, grrrr so I all got is 1 and 9, im assuming its a 9 and a 8 and not 9 and a 9, peavey had long dropped this older logo of thiers in favor of the newer on by then, plus the yellowing of the pickguard also makes me think otherwise, it has to be stamped 89 and not 99, theres no way

anyhow, just wondering if anyone knew off hand much about the older peavey basses? theres no way in hell for 125 bucks you can get a made in the USA bass like this, not in this shape, 125 bucks these days new and your lucky to get a Squier or Equivlalent made in China or somewhere similar :(

Sandy, great news, my friend may have his kids before Fathers day now for sure, lets just say his ex screwed up yet again because shes stupid and theres now a warrant out for her arrest, its sure going to make thier final divorce court date extremely interesting with an outstanding warrant hanging over her head, changes all the variables

My framer has yet to finalize the frame and if he does get the kids within the next few weeks like we hope after all I have a brilliant idea to add to the drawing, I have a plan B so I told the framer to hold off, once I told him what I thought of he approved and said its worthy of waiting and seeing whats gonna happen

All I know is this woman better enjoy Mothers day tommorow, the way shes cruising right now it might be her last, especially if she doesn't show now that this arrest warrant has come to light

Hi everyone.

Joe, Have a great Saturday and get ready to rock those guys over there.

Hello Joe I was lucky enough to be upgraded at your G-3 Tour and my friend and I met you in your dressing room. It was great to meet you and discover you're just a "normal guy" with a family. You might recall I asked you several questions about you and even, "what would you be doing if you didn't play guitar". You said...."I don't know". I also suggested you come up to Redding, Calif some time and visit as this is a beautiful place....much less congeasted than SF! ALso...I mentioned I am a homebuilder and we would love to build you a new home at cost up here...we have lots of land . I inadvertantly discovered your music about 6 months ago while watching the G-3 TOur DVD from Japan. Really enjoyed your playing and attitude. I am 53, play guitar in our church Worship band and, interestingly, most of our band members know your music and love it! IN any event, thank you for your time and I really look forward to seeing you play again!. Ron Bridges' Redding Cal 530-227-7737 PS...The Photo that was taken of us in your dressing room was blurred (SAD!!) But your manager has said that he will "make it up to us" when you tour again. Thanks!

GO GOLDEN STATE!! 125 - 105. Woo Hoo! I've waiting for this moment for so long. Nice to see them doing well. It's all about the Oakland Stroke.

The band is going good we have 6 weeks off. Going to get our demo done. Then come the end of June and all hell breaks loose.

The new house is great. Gonna spend the weekend building shelves and installing the garage door openers and maybe... when everyone is gone... I may even break out the Gee-tar and play a bit. he he he.

Well time to hit the coffee. Take care.

Civ.
