Jimmy Hendrix 'was murdered' by his manager, claims roadie

By James Tapper

Rock legend Jimi Hendrix was murdered by his manager as part of an insurance scam, a new book by one of his former aides claims.

Hendrix choked to death on his own vomit when he was 27 – but the exact circumstances of his death have always been a mystery. Now James ‘Tappy’ Wright, one of the rock star’s roadies, claims that Hendrix’s manager, Michael Jeffery, confessed to killing him. Jeffery is said to have made a drunken confession a year after the star’s death in September 1970. Rock and roll: Jimi Hendrix's death was murder, claims former roadie Rock and roll: Jimi Hendrix's death was murder, claims former roadie An ambulance crew found Hendrix’s body in the Samarkand Hotel in West London, in the room of Monika Dannemann, a girl he had known for just a few days. Wright claims Jeffery was worried that Hendrix was preparing to find a new manager when their deal was due to end in December 1970. According to Wright, Jeffery said he went to the hotel room and stuffed Hendrix full of pills and wine. The book, called Rock Roadie, out next month, recalls Wright’s life with various rock stars during the Sixties, including Tina Turner and Elvis Presley. In it, Wright claims Jeffery, who was married to actress Gillian French, made the confession at his apartment in 1971, two years before he died in a plane crash. He writes: ‘I can still hear that conversation, see the man I’d known for so much of my life, his face pale, hand clutching at his glass in sudden rage.’ He says Jeffery told him: ‘I had to do it, Tappy. You understand, don’t you? I had to do it. You know damn well what I’m talking about.’ He quotes Jeffery as saying: ‘I was in London the night of Jimi’s death and together with some old friends ...we went round to Monika’s hotel room, got a handful of pills and stuffed them into his mouth ...then poured a few bottles of red wine deep into his windpipe. ‘I had to do it. Jimi was worth much more to me dead than alive. That son of a bitch was going to leave me. If I lost him, I’d lose everything.’ Wright claims that Jeffery told him he had taken out a life insurance policy on Hendrix worth $2million (£1.2million) with Jeffery as beneficiary. The official cause of death was ‘barbiturate intoxication and inhalation of vomit’, and the coroner recorded an open verdict. This was vital for Jeffery. Had the cause of death been suicide it would have given the insurers an escape clause. The ambulancemen who found the body said he was discovered alone in the hotel room, lying in his clothes on his back, with a gas fire burning and the door wide open. There is no record of who called 999. John Bannister, the surgeon who tried to revive Hendrix at hospital, said he was convinced he had drowned in red wine. Yet Hendrix had very little alcohol in his bloodstream. In 1992 he wrote: ‘I recall vividly the very large amounts of red wine that oozed from his stomach and his lungs, and in my opinion there was no question that Jimi Hendrix had drowned, if not at home then on the way to the hospital. ‘At the time I felt that he had either been on sedative tablets, to sleep or otherwise, and that he had imbibed copious amounts of red wine prior to going to sleep. I would suspect that he regurgitated the red wine and drowned.’

Jimi Hendrix was killing by Jimi Hendrix himself.

At the crossroad, he has chosen too much drugs & crap relation ship.

Sad, but true.

Of course, his manager was a gangster.. but why choose this one?.........

The Sweetness of Married Life

A couple had only been married for two weeks and the husband although very much in love, couldn't wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies.

So, he said to his new wife, "Honey, I'll be right back."

"Where are you going, Coochy Coo?" asked the wife.

"I'm going to the bar, Pretty Face," he answered. I'm going to have a beer."

The wife said, "You want a beer, my love?" She opened the door to the refrigerator and showed him 25 different kinds of beer, brands from 12 different countries: Germany , Holland , Japan , India , etc.

The husband didn't know what to do, and the only thing that he could think of saying was, "Yes, Lollipop, but, at the bar. You know they have frozen glasses."

He didn't get to finish the sentence, because the wife interrupted him by saying, "You want a frozen glass, Puppy Face?" She took a huge beer mug out of the freezer, so frozen that she was getting chills just holding it.

The husband, looking a bit pale, said, "Yes, Tootsie Roll, but at the bar they have those hors d'oeuvres that are really delicious. I won't be long. I'll be right back. I promise. OK?"

"You want hors d'oeuvres, Poochie Pooh?" She opened the oven and took out 5 dishes of different ho rs d'oeuvres: chicken wings, pigs in blankets, mushroom caps, and little quiches.

"But my sweet honey, at the bar, you know there's swearing, dirty words and all that."

"You want dirty words, Cutie Pie?

LISTEN UP CHICKEN SHIT! SIT YOUR ASS DOWN, SHUT THE HELL UP, DRINK YOUR BEER IN YOUR FROZEN MUG AND EAT YOUR

HORS D'OEUVRES BECAUSE YOUR MARRIED ASS ISN'T GOING TO A DAMNED BAR! THAT SHIT IS OVER, GOT IT, JACKASS?"

They lived happily ever after. Isn't that a sweet story?

Hello everyone,

Steve is at home resting comfortably today. The three doctors at Stanford called off the surgery yesterday afternoon when they had trouble controlling bleeding from Steve's scalp. One of the surgeons installed several titanium screws/pins/posts (whatever they call them) earlier in the morning......Steve and I were even joking with him about Steve looking like an alien...."My favorite Martian"!! Lmao! Anyways, not long after Steve went into the operating room, I got a call on my mobile that they called off the surgery and would meet me in the waiting room (with what seemed like at least one hundred other people). I got to see Steve at about 4 p.m. in the recovery room and all he had to say was "Shit! shit! shit!" and "I'm f**king thirsty!" We got to go home within the hour. Now we are waiting to get a call from a hematologist at Stanford for yet another doctor appointment! At this point, I'm glad he's still alive even though we are both disappointed......Oh, well......feels like being on trial in a court of law........set backs!

Hugs to all of ya and you know who you are M, T, A, K and...JC & JS......so many lovely people!

Gv, you say that like it's a bad thing... when you consider that most "pop" music is brain-dead crapola then this is much more than "just another pop album" by a long-shot. This will be the grandaddy of all "pop" records. Personally, I'd call it a ROCK album, even if it will get popular and have a lot of commercial success. I won't hold that against it. I'll admit I'm not completely used to being a fan of anything that's popular, nevermind insanely popular, but in this case I'll just have to make an exception. It's just SO damn good!

Oh and thanks for the links, hadn't seen those yet, of course right after I see it at the top of Facebook... D'oh!!

Just a heads-up to those who are watching the Chickenfoot podcasts through iTunes... Day 9 had an error in the filename, so it didn't automatically download for subscribers. I just emailed the webmaster and he's fixing it...in the meantime, we can get it here.

Phydeaux_3 - Hi...it's cool to see you here again.

What have you been up to recently? Seen any good concerts? Discovered any new bands?

hybes - I'm sure that concert will be streaming on Hulu for quite a while...so just keep checking. Also, if you have the TV channel Fuse, they're airing a DMB documentary in four parts for the rest of the week.

A lot of fans seem to love the new album...I don't think it's near the level of their best work, but it's better than a lot of what they've done recently so that's good. It's a definite step in the right direction. And with their sax player dying last year, it's lucky we have a new album at all. So I'll take it.

I'm still working on your bootlegs, but another project got in the way...I'll email you tonight.

GoldenGirl2 - I'm glad to hear Steve is OK...it's good that they noticed the problem early on before it got out of hand and caused larger problems. Please keep us updated...
wolf2 - Did I read that right? You heard Chickenfoot's Oh Yeah on the radio? Cool!
Listening to: Stabbing Westward - Wither, Blister, Burn & Peel (current song: So Wrong)

DTS - I've been busy as a bugger. I'm a bus driver now, for about 2 years. Best job I've ever had... beats the hell outta working! Kids are growing up, Annie is 5 & Max is 2. I turn 40 tomorrow... can anybody say mid-life crisis? LOL!

Yes, I have discovered something wonderful.. dude's name is That 1 Guy & he is just incredible. He plays the "Magic Pipe" (homemade instrument) like nobody's business. He & Buckethead did an album together called The Frankenstein Brothers, totally blows my mind. They are taking music to new frontiers.
More later...

Also, BOTH of my local radio stations are playing ChicKenfoot (Chez 106 & Virgin) a LOT.

smooches,

Joe,

My dad and I are huge fans and we just saw your Chickenfoot concert in Philadelphia. I think the rest of the band may have drowned you out a little, so we are anxiously awaiting the CD which will bring your virtuoso guitar playing to the front. Still the concert was amazing as were you. My dad is turning 70 on July 12th and he may be up there as one of your oldest fans. He was in such pain Friday night at the concert from "old age" I guess, but his pain seemed to go away when you started playing. We met you personally once before at your own concert in Baltimore and my dad still talks about to this day. You signed a few CD's. It would be great if you could sign a picture and wish my father a Happy 70th Birthday. My dad's nickname is Bones. You can email me perosnally at moneymandave@yahoo.com with any questions thanks. Can't wait for your next album after Chickenfoot.
